Was raised in Byron.. you don't know how packed this place is, most over crowded surf in Australia. This series follows people that can get waves on any given day in the area, but if you're not from here the crowds are worse than SoCal. There's better surf etiquette between locals than over there, but outside that the series makes it look chill - it's really not. Plus Byron tourist hotspot which covid has impacted, probably wouldn't be worth trying to shoot here if things were normal.
Would love to see another series like this one where the boys have to shape their own boards and then challenge each other again. Loves this series and would watch again 100%
Came across this today and got to binge all four episodes. Yew. My ex-mother-in-law used to have a house in Byron Bay. Big mistake not to make a trip and hop on that point break. Though it looks every bit as crazy as Rincon in Cali or Ditch Plains on a small summer day. Fun stuff on the reality TV tip.

Awesome work on the research on Danny Kim... Paul Roach and the contribution of DROPKNEE/JACKSTANCE to Finless Surfing. Dropknee on a Bodyboard is hard. Some of the moves performed in this video are textbook DK. However ...I think the length of board matters....BBoard is shorter, a tiny bit easier to control....staying in and around the pocket/tube, DK definitely has the advantage there.. There is a fair amount of rail grabbing in the video to stop sliding out....We try not to do that in DK. But like I said before....Big Thank you for researching the history and being so inclusive

I of course knew Ozzy before this series, I’ve been watching him for years. I’ve only recently seen Soli because of the tours he was on, so I’m stoked to really see his surfing and personality in this. I’m really glad I got introduced to Vinnie and Krooky! All of these guys shred and I look forward to seeing more of them

Lock down day 200 and something in Melbourne hardly surfed this year. Paddled out .5 foot 13C temperature Port Phillip Bay wind slop due to this because it reminded me of the stoke of surfing.
That auto tune and montage at the end was just the pièce de résistance on an EPIC series. Props to everyone involved!
