  • Stephen Sackur speaks to Tova Friedman, one of the youngest survivors of Auschwitz. Never has it felt more important to remember the lessons of one of history’s greatest crimes, the Nazi genocide of the Jews. Europe is again witnessing a war of aggression, anti-Semitism is on the rise in many countries, and surveys of young people reveal alarming ignorance of the Holocaust. Now in her eighties, Tova Friedman has written a memoir and taken to social media to tell her story. Is the world listening?

I've watched Tova Friedman on numerous video's, as she tells her story of survival from the horrific & evil Holocaust. I love this lady and her passion for life. Even though she has a very sad story, she tells her story so it will never be forgotten! It is hard to imagine how one could go on in life, with the horrors of the Holocaust. She holds her head up high, and lives life! This is amazing!! Tova is a wonderful woman, with such a kind and caring heart!!!

I have learned to modelled my interview style after Mr. Sackur, and it is doing me very good and earning me great applause.

Her story would make a great movie. They didn't kill her because she probably reminded them of their own kids..she said when she was little she looked more german.

Had she learned any but any lesson from the Holocaust she should have stood against the atrocities, the brutality and the savage ethnic cleansing Israel and its army are committing daily against the indigenous Palestinian people who have never harmed the Jews in any way and their only fault is that they are for thousands of years inhabitants of the land the Jews want for a homeland.
If she had the least of dignity, or humanity she should stand with the Palestinians and stop giving ethical shelter for Israel to hide
behind while it is committing its war crimes.

She has extreme humanity and the utmost dignity. To compare anything to the largest mass murder in the 20th century and to fault someone who lived thru it as a little girl is just disgraceful.
