Excellent ratchet review! I rarely use 1/2” drive ratchets but when I do my main ratchet is the Hazet HPL (long) 90-tooth ratchet. It feels so good in the hand and the handle material is easy to clean up at the end of the day.
Nice review! I think the problem with this ratchet will be the direction switch catching and changing direction accidentally. Most 1/2" ratchets nowadays are quite strong, including good Taiwan ones, it would be very difficult to break it without a very large pipe.

I do the same, for 1/2'' ratchet I use hiper series ratchet.

Yes, the selector switch is problem some time in narrow spaces. I made mistake, its actually made in Spain. This ratchet is quite strong though.
I will not use a noisey ratchet that sounds like crickets. Looks to be a good ratchet
Noisy ratchets are some timre annoying. This ratchet is less noisy similar to snap-on

Hiper series from Hazet is my no.1 choice. But for 3/8" flex head ratchet, I always pick Stahlwille.
