    Personally, I like the Taiwanese matte finish and knurling better..

    • @carrepairandtoolsvideos
      @carrepairandtoolsvideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont know if camera did justice but matt finish of Taiwanese socket was not that great. Personally, I prefer too matt over shiny. I like Hazet, Stahlwille etc matt chrome finish any day. But this Taiwan made socket looked little on less attractive way. I agree with you on knurling was way better. Over all other socket look better made. Lets see how these hold up and in the future I will update on them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    Some bahcos are argentitian made and the quality is very good. Also old belzer - bahco was German made and top quality...

      Ich hatte beide Ratschen ( made in germany and made in Argentina) sowohl in 1/2" als auch in 3/8". Gekauft um 1992/93.
      Die Qualität der argentinischen 1/2" Ratsche war so gruselig, dass ich die ziemlich schnell weiterverkauft hab. Die argentinische 3/8" war halbwegs ok, hab ich behalten.
      Bei der 1/4" Ratsche (keine Ahnung wo hergestellt, müsste ich mal nachschauen, gekauft um 2002) hab ich beim ersten Gebrauch den 4-Kant abgerissen. Allerdings hat mir die der Händler anstandslos getauscht. Also Service damals einwandfrei. Die Qualität des Koffers(?) von meinen S160 Set ist um Welten besser als das meines neuen S140T Sets.
      Mittlerweile hab ich bei 3/8" und 1/4" um Hazet HiPerS ergänzt und bin bisher sehr zufrieden. Bei 1/2" hab ich wohl zuviele Ratschen um die noch zu verschleissen :-)😂

    Those USA sockets are probably just Snap On sockets with Bahco stamped on them from when Snap on Bought Bahco. That explains why they fit EXACTLY on the Snap On ratchet.

    • @carrepairandtoolsvideos
      @carrepairandtoolsvideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, these seem made by Snap-on for obvious reasons

    Interesting Vid. thanks for sharing
    So i have Bahco sockets and ratches to. The older i own are Bahco-Belzer Ratchets (1/2" made in Germany, 3/8" made in argentina, 1/4" i didnt know.) The 1/4" socket are matte chrome finnish. the 1/2" are glanzing. The Bahco-Belzer ratches are over 30years old and realy good and strong quality. Only the handguard ( der Griff) has a thin crack.

    • @carrepairandtoolsvideos
      @carrepairandtoolsvideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Bahco used to be ultimate quality brand when it was made in Sweden and later merged with Belzer. Bahco from Spain was still a high quality brand. Since it moved to Tawain/China the quality has been compromised. You are lucky having those old Bahco/Belzer stuff.

    I picked up a bahco socket today made in China. They produce them in many countries

  • @jeffwolf8018
    @jeffwolf8018 ปีที่แล้ว

    A larger mass generally means the socket doesn't have to work as hard to remove or tighten fasteners.. especially if you can get the heavyweight impact sockets which are very expensive.

    congratulations on 1k subscribers and beginning ad revenue. I subscribed in beginning and advised against some very bad music you had which might have made people click off. Its much better now thanks. Keep making videos and to make more money, base your new videos on what folks search for. In USA that means Harbor Freight. I know you won't do that because you can't just buy garbage to make money. But those are my ideas for you. Cheers.

But I will get back to the channel with full throttle and I will keep in mind your advises and ideas. Once again thank you very much for your support

    I'm guessing that the bahco usa are like the williams usa, are basically using last year's snap on tooling supposedly ..
    Anyway the williams usa look I dentical to snap on except will usually skip a machining step .
    Anyway people that buy icon because they look and feel like snap on should check out williams usa . Not much more than icon . For the real thing .

      I don't own any of williams or Icon but I heard that too. I wish I had easy access to the tool brands from USA to compare them with EU brands. Would be nice to compare different tools neck to neck likes of Mac, Matco, Icon, Cornwel etc with Hazet, Stahlwille, Gedore, Heyco, Facom, Bahco etc

    What do you think about Proxxon sockets and ratchets? In Europe in medium price i see that bahco/kamasa is same quality now, similar to honiton/jonnesway/ Asta - all Taiwan.

    • @carrepairandtoolsvideos
      @carrepairandtoolsvideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Bahco/Kamasa are professional quality tools. Although these are not good as they used be but still Kamasa and Bahco are very good quality tools for the price. I don't own any of Proxxon tools but I heard alot about them for good price. Based on talks around tool community, I think Bahco/Kamasa (Sweden/Finland) are above Proxxon. Kamasa in UK is not the real Kamasa tools. As for as Asta and other you mentioned, I am hearing first time. One of my friend has Proxxon tools for DIY and he is pretty satisfied.

      @@carrepairandtoolsvideos i know kamasa ( not kamasa- tools ) is fake on amazon, i got kamasa flex head ratches - very good quality. Jonnesway is a taiwanese brand that make also very durable wrenches - especially flat-eye wrenches ( really drop forged) . They tested on yt and durability is similar to hazet, rest of jonnesway tools is medium +
      Honiton - old UK brand - very durable but now also taiwanese like jonnesway
      ASTA- (not Satra), good quality telescopic flex head ratchets
      There is also TOPTUL nice quality.
