Yes! Absolutely for security reasons. Production computers I say two years tops. Super easy to sell and replace at about $500-$600 less than purchase so your system cost your business $250-$300/y to stay up to date and worry free

@@danielchilive seriously in the end it's cheaper to spend $300/year and lost productivity over the course of 5yrs. Been doing this since 2012 and when i was doing full production I would lease my Machines and take the tax breaks. Now the speed of change with Si chips, it made more sense to buy and replace.
Great points.... I would echo the same, many a time an OS upgrade on an older machine saw a decrease in performance. These machines are put "out to pasture" for office duties staying right away from any production environment... the biggest difference was the Intel to M series chips..
The M-series chips were revolutionary imho. I can't wait for the M4 chips to come out - I'm hoping they release an M4 Studio Ultra as I'll be one of the first to get in line for that! How about you? Are you looking forward to a specific chip/model?
@@danielchilive My MAC purchases are solid now till M4 or M5 etc - Have 16" MBP Max M3 + 12.9 Ipad Pro + 15 Pro Max Iphone AND The Macmini M2Pro while awaiting the Studio in M4 or more... i guess we'll know soon what the Studio solution will be, then out comes the cheque book to add to the apple profits.
What's up, @Marty_Chan! Question for clarity... are you also meaning that in addition to leaving it on all the time, you're never rebooting? Or you'll reboot every time before you go live, but otherwise, you are thinking of leaving it powered on when you're not using it?
@@danielchilive I was wondering about the upsides and downsides of leaving it on on the time. I hadn’t thought about rebooting before each live but I’d be curious about that too.

Wait until this falls when supposedly the next M4 Macs will be released.

Awesome tip! Thanks. Can you do a video about whether or not you should leave your mac on all the time?
