Okay, warning, this comment is going to get a bit over the top. If you're a kid who has lost a parent, whether it be due to some sort of death or them leaving, I do highly recommend this movie. I've been through stuff like that, and this movie oddly made me feel.. better? It did sorta help me to realize (a lot like the characters) that you don't have to hold stuff like that in and that it's okay to talk about it every once and awhile. How they potrayed the emotions of losing a parent is done extremely well.
I haven't lost a parent but I do kinda feel like my mom is kinda similar to Jack's dad not to that extent and I don't do any sports she doesn't force me to d stuff like that. I did relate to the issue of suppressing your emotions because I deal with that. So much so that as I was watching it with some of the sad moments I noticed that for a second my reaction was to hold in my tears but then I realized that I need to just let it out and I did feel a lot better after watching the movie. Since it had so many emotional moment I was able to let out kinda a lot of my bottle up emotions. It was nice to have a place to do that

About their motor skills and the training, in the book their bodies have each other’s skills in each are able to do the other’s sports really well because of it really only being their minds switching.
So with movies about swapping bodies I always wondered what happens when they have to use the bathroom especially if they swap bodies with the different genders! Like do they not look when they wipe? Also what about when you have to take a shower especially if it spans over several days!! Just my thoughts
Payton List actually did some really good acting in this. I think she didn't get a role she could show her full potential in for a while but she did good. The trailer also does not do this movie justice. It looks like a very different movie. It makes it seem more like a comedic movie which it does have a good amount of comedy. They also have a lot of emotional moments that it might have benefited to include to include something about Jack's mom in the trailer to show it is more than just a funny switching bodies movie. The trailer does a good job at explaining the general plot but not great at showing what all it's got. (Rhyme was not intention at first but when I realized it rhymed I was like cool)
i feel its a bit ironic that one of disney's most popular film franchises (hsm) bases on the plotline of you can like more than one thing, but like every other film likes to remind you and dare i say hinges on the fact that every character can only like one thing

I think the reason why there bodies were able to do everything is because of muscle memory and their bodies were conditioned for those activities. For example with Jack as Ellie being flexible Ellie's muscles in her body have been trained to be able to do that for years and also kinda similar with Jack
7:59 Porter is such a great character. He is mean and then you realize why and you felt bad for him especially since he doesn't have friends and he wanted some friends. They said what was from his perspective. I thought he was going to be a normal bully and I was going to hate him but I love him
I like how they talk about the way society tell guys how they should act machoism which tell men not to cry and be tough And how it wrong and it okay for them to cry I as a guy hadn't deal with it and I thankful because I emotional and do cry sometimes when there so much pressure on me

I thought oh bo hoo you the school at least cares more about your funds than the theatre department funds because I love theatre. Then they mentioned they are going to be a club like chess or like thespians

This movie is actually a pretty good one I think it is one of the better newer DCOMS the emotional moments were portrayed very well because of a combination of the acting and writing. It made me cry quite a lot
I understand you think that they could’ve done things better but you don’t give any ideas on they could do better. I liked the review but I do wish that you would back up your points more
In all fairness most the time the books are better they are able to give more detail and you connect with the characters more than in movies. I haven't read that book I didn't know there was a book until I watched this

Not gonna lie, this whole movie seemed like an "It's a boy girl thing" rip-off. But Disney style. Hard to believe it was based off of a book, that was actually published, maybe it was originally a wattpad fanfic?

i wonder if the reason why they couldnt do it and then suddenly could after only ONE night training is that they, mentally, didnt think they could do it? like if he had never done anything like gymnastics before it could have been his own brain getting in the way when trying to do it. thinking something like 'how the hell do you do that?' or 'what on earth are they doing here?' or even just something like 'isnt it dangerous to do that?' and things like that could have gotten in his way when trying to do it enough that it prevented his ability to do it. same for her as well, if she didnt understand the sport very well, maybe just the bare minimum, or maybe she had never ice skated before, or wasnt that experienced at it so struggled with the skills and techniques to maneuver well on the ice. her own thoughts could have been preventing her from showing the skills. in both cases it would only take a short time for them to grasp it well enough to be able to bluff and/or let their bodies skill take over. hence the immediate magical (almost) improvement after one night where all they needed to really learn was how to trust their body to take over when needed and not the entire sport.

The book is better. Yes, I'm THAT kind of person when watching a movie based on a book, but it's true.

Not every DCOM needs one. That means the storyline was finished and there’s really not much more to add to it.
