Mark my friend , you sir are all ACES !!! Great job thank you for this . Looking forward to more maintenance videos in the future. Can never have enough of these to be able to use as reference points especially for guys like me who are definitely not a mechanic of any sort LOL. But I love my bike and I’d rather be able to do as much as I can on my own and leave the hard stuff for my mechanic. My Mechanic Is great at what he does and he’s a wonderful person as well. But he’s a one-man show at his shop and he’s always busy. So I’ll try and save the really hard stuff for him. And do as much maintenance as I can on my own. Videos like these help us out greatly. So thank you again

Harley Racing Riding & Repair enjoying the Hammer 1275 kit for sure , hands down the best upgrade choice I’ve made so far . I hope I come into some reall money someday because I’d love to have the lighter buell crank installed . But way to big of a job for me lol

Cool video, mines a 2008 Sporty. It’s my first Harley and I’ve had quite a few bits to sort out on it already, I think I’m gonna have to do this too in the near future. Thanks for that

Replacing both the front and rear rubber motor mounts helped tighten up the "loose" feeling of the motor in my XL. I am glad I did it. Thanks for watching and the comment!

I am not able to remove the right cushion. I don't know how you did it, it doesn't show in the video

What kind of signs/symptoms indicated that they needed replacing?

You most likely will notice a harsher vibration at a certain rpm also the engine will sag and not be square in the frame and you could have belt rub in extreme cases

My right side of rear wheel is rubbing my sissy bolts. My mechanic says its the engine mount too

Hi! Thanks for the video. As you advised, I knocked out the inner steel sleeve from the old right isolator and easily removed it. However, it is not possible to install a new one because of the engine rests against the frame and the gap for installing the new isolator is 3-4 mm smaller than necessary. I moved, raised and lowered the engine, but it was useless. So I'm going to install a new isolator the same way I removed the old one. I will knock the sleeve out of the new isolator and install isolator then install the sleeve back.

Today I really did it. Thank you again for your little trick with knocking out the inner sleeve. I wouldn't have guessed to do it and would have been stuck for a long time with a replacement.🤝

would this cause excessive vibration around 3k rpms? I'm not sure if the issue continues higher in rpms, the vibration is really bad and didnt want to risk breaking the bike even worse/ this happened to me coming back from the store on the way there everything was fine, but on the way back every gear right around 3k rpms it just gets horrific

I'm going to try taking out center piece and still going to have a hard time getting the Mount compress 3/8 of a inch

Hey Wally if you take out the center sleeve it comes out and goes back in without a lot of troubles.

Very good video. How many km did you do this replacement? Did you have to remove the brake lines to remove the bushings? A video of the back would be very welcome. Hugs straight from Brazil.
