CAP and CFP were a disgrace, a shocking scandal.
We paid over £300 BILLION during 47 wasted years, a shocking rip-off.

Britain's alternative future, to be more open, better invested in, more productive, faster growing, higher living standards and properly manned.

Just like his side-kick Shirley Williams, he woofs and waffles about ''the benefits of Europe''
but dodges the point Llew makes about the decimation of the UK fishing industry.
The EEC was a Franco/German stitch-up to asset strip the UK.
By now the scandal of the CAP was all too obvious and it was costing billions of UK cash to fund it
but it barely benefitted the British farmer. The French troughers were neck deep in our cash.

There are no benefits for the UK in Europe. Ergo, BREXIT.

Ah, the smarmy elitist Roy Jenkins. Tony Benn was right about him

Tony Benn was a millionaire and son of a lord, not to mention an eccentric crank. Roy Jenkins was a miner's son.

And yet he was right about everything he said, you call him elitist only because you are too stupid to be a part of the elite.

Perhaps the only thing that he was right about then? I'm glad you've found something, because it appears to me that Tony Benn was pretty well wrong on everything else.

@@nautilusshell4969Benn was a remarkable man who did reflect a lot of views in the party at that time and the “new” Left was bound to
Affect the Labour Party since the 1960’s I personally don’t agree with all he did in the early 80’s but the SDP had no new ideas. Dead end and split the left of centre
