as someone who's struggled with addiction and is now saved and delivered I can confidently say this is 100% true. Even if no one finds out and you've hidden it perfectly, it perverts you in every way and corrupts your personality. it really ruins all aspects of your life.
Yesss, and it leaves the door open for demons to come in. So deliverance has been done in vain
I'm dealing with addiction, I don't know how to stop. I want to, but everytime I've tried I become a monster, with anxiety so bad I can't leave my bedroom😢
I have to stop. I just don't know how I'm going to.
@@kate1269 ik the feeling it happens to me too... all I do now is keep confessing my sins to god and trying to pray and read the bible more daily because I haven't been doing that lately... I keep falling but I still keep trying to repent and move forward you have to begin to trust in God's power.
@@kate1269 I had anxiety 15 months ago at its worst in my life and I started reading the Bible. Tell God you are desperate for the holy spirit and start reading the Bible. I also recommend derek prince deliverance, as it's broad strokes gets you use to how to repent and forgive others. one of the most important things forgiveness is a decision not an emotion. You need to start forgiving so God will forgive you. Have to remember his grace and mercy are there for everyone, but why would he give it to you if you can't forgive. This will start a deliverance process. Don't give up, don't ever stop. I've had ups and downs, but God will always work with you, ask for his help, and your faith will grow over time.
You can hide it from humans but not God

I struggles with a weed addiction for years until the Lord set me free last week. i realized that in doing so i had been practicing witchcraft and allowing spirits into my body. Thank you Jesus for making a way.

Pron really is a thing that is easy to hide. I was going to church. I got baptized. But slowly I backslid until one day I gave in and watched it. From there it set my life on fire. The peace, clarity, joy, and relationship with God was spoiled.
Last night God told me to go to a SAA meeting and helped me to do so. Im gonna go to meetings every week now.
I so believe this cause it's a true testament of how I'm living right now. Because it's so comfotable im struggling to stop it even though I know its changing my thoughts and attitude. I seriously need an intervention

Hebrews 11: 24-25

25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Hebrews 5:8 - Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
Sometimes to overcome sin, it's necessary for us to allow ourselves to suffer as we overcome our addictions and struggles. It's sometimes takes courage to choose to be afflicted instead of instant gratification. If a person chooses to suffer, in time they will learn to master that area of their lives, and God will bless that area of their lives to give them fulfillment from a godly context.
Proverbs 16:3 - Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Confess this hidden sin to another brother or sister in Christ. Do not let shame and guilt hold u back from the Lords loving arms. You are already half way there by already acknowledging how this sin is so bad now take it to the next step move it from darkness into the light.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This was exactly what I needed to hear. God was literally speaking to me through you. By His Spirit, I will conquer the secret sin.
SO true. I was tempted about a year ago to drink when I got home from work on a Friday. I was already planning it hours in advance and heard a voice in my spirit say “please please, be sure your sins will find you out”. I was recovering from alcoholism and the effects it had already had on me and my family, and I know the Lord was warning me that my wife was set to tell my sister about it out of concern for us.
My sister is the wife of our Pastor….
Sin leads to death.
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of
the flesh reap corruption; but he that
soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap
life everlasting.
Those who are truly saved have eternal salvation, but that doesn’t relieve us of the consequences of sin, which will impact us here on earth and also cause us to lose eternal rewards in heaven.
