I really like this beautiful, melancholy song!
that hunting voice , sweet melody's , and pure passion. sad and sweet song. i can say i feel the blues, in the blue grass with this one. bravo !
God I love these gals! They give me a chill that I don't wanna get rid of.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard 🥲
this is the jewel of the album. I just love it with my soul
Indeed
It's good to finally here an American version of this song
Beautiful. I'm several generations removed from the mountains, but always feel a kinship to the traditional music.
I was a generation or two removed as well, and I came here and never looked back.
I’m one generation removed, and I mourn the fact that all of my family lives or is buried there, and I’m 5 hours away. I have an ache in my bones that I can’t handle sometimes. It catches me at the most random times. Bluegrass is euphoric to me, it’s the closest I’ve ever been to feeling God, but it also is dotted with my uncles and cousins who have passed on from this world.
Caught their show in Louisville at Odeon a while back. This song was magical. Linda Jean nailed it. They are just getting better and better. Please come back to Louisville ladies.
what lovely young women and thoughtful lyrics in the traditional style

New to me. You ladies are wonderful. I'm from the country with a big family. This sounds like home to my heart. 💖🎶

What is this traditional genre called? It's beautiful and profound.
It’s an old English folk song, given a lovely American Appalachian-style treatment - roughly speaking - en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hares_on_the_Mountain

It turns up in Cecil Sharp's ' Folk Songs From Somerset'.
@@Wotsitorlabart Of course. I first heard this when I lived in Devon. Makes sense.
