Funny enough I was on from Japan last night and wondering how you buy from there and if you would ever do a video of it. Video was so good I watched it twice. Seems abit cheaper then Croooober.
Thank you so much for the info it will really come in handy, apon browsing the website is it worth it buying/bidding coilovers even tho it's really cheap, based on costs to courier costs ect.
Hey Kurt, sorry for the late reply.. busy busy last few days. I'll be honest I would be scared to see the pricing of something that heavy. Maybe check out that shipping estimator first. I only really send small light stuff in consignments
@@The_JDM_Dynasty 1986 Saab 900 Turbo. It's going to be a rally cross car. I hope to take it up to the Alcan 5000 rally, but it needs an extra trans before I can do that.
Haha, doesn't always work though.. Customs are all over the place, I rekon they bill packages at random. I've had small packages come in with higher fees than large ones with no duties at all lol
@@The_JDM_Dynasty darn. I found so many parts which are soooo cheap vs here, like electric side mirrors, lights etc, now that I used Japanese vs English. THANKS! Also for anyone reading this, the Japanese make some great stationery items, especially their pencils.
quick question. how possible is it to import a jzx100 chaser/Cresta? I have had my eye on a few but what does SA rules and customs have big 'no goes' on such cars? What should I expect when importing one to SA?
Hi Kabelo, unfortunately as Ahmed mentioned there is currently no way to bring one in unless you are a returning resident, working overseas and own the vehicle for a period of 12 months. You could however speak to ITAC and ask them as they control the import permits for used motor vehicles
Honestly, I would try get a bunch of mates together (like a lot...) pay for a container, use Japan Partner as your broker instead of fromjapan and fill up a container then send.... Shipping large stuff as you said just rapes you if you do it normally :(
Thanks man I already spent like 3 hours browsing Japanese cars and parts a couple days ago and now I just did it again. :P Good tips!
Haha it's so addictive, I'm on it 2+ hours a day, everyday lol.. Looking for deals 😂

Just put a bid on some wheels! It's hard to find a 4x114.3 wheel for my car.
Hopefully shipping won't be too bad for you... I've never really shipped anything larger than a side mirror and a few gauges at a time
@@The_JDM_Dynasty 300$ honestly what I expected.
@@TokyoChopSquad Serious? That really isn't bad at all!! What car is it for btw? My R33 is also 4 x 114.3

That would be a dream to bring it here in SA, but I'm 99% sure you can't import them here
But I think it can be imported to neighbouring countries

how do you ship bigger items like bumpers, fenders, exhaust pieces without getting raped by shipping fees?

japan's bidorbuy.
The shipping is rape. $150 shipping for a gas cap 🤣🤣
