My 8XX, 660s and Sundara sound absolutely fantastic on my SU9 , MT 604 cheap tube hybrid with Russian tubes... Thank you very much.
Nautilus: Ruins wallets, but does whatever the opposite of "ruin" is to headphones. And with 5 OI taps, you can fine-tune the performance of any can. I've yet to hear anything sound bad off Nauti; it elevates every can to its best self. May > Nauti > Atrium has been a favorite chain with stunningly well-imaged holographic staging, lush intimate vocals, rich tight bass, etc.
Well, if someone posts the schematics for the Nautilus somewhere you could find a guy who builds tube amps and save a lot of cash. I saved 700€ that way compared to buying the Unison Research Simply Italy. Or you could build a simpler amp and get similar results with tubes.

The reason to get the Nautilus is to make your headphones sound better than they ever sounded before. I first heard the Susvara on the Oor and it was great, but the Nautilus blew it away. It made the DCA Stealths sound pretty good and not boring which was a miracle. 1266, LCD5, VC all sounded its best to me on the Nautilus.
the deal breaker is that it's only single ended...
@@johenkay1129 Why? Balanced really doesn't matter. A balanced output might sound better on a device with both balanced and single ended outputs but that doesn't mean that a single ended output from a different device can't sound better than both of them. Balanced gives you a bit more power (which is where most of the difference comes from) and slightly less cross talk. With a well designed single ended amp both of these thing are non issues as well.
@@a_slakoth7420 Well, most of my headphone cables are balanced... and they're not cheap cables... not to mention balanced does better in rejecting rfi and emf interference.
@@johenkay1129 There's adapters and I'm pretty sure the interference thing applies to balanced interconnects which is something entirely different. What you're saying is valid of course, I personally just don't see why it would be a deal breaker. For me the price would be lol
@@a_slakoth7420 Well, if you're looking at a amp at this price range, there are balanced options, like Woo audio's wa33 or the Feliks Envy. I'm personally drawn to the Feliks Envy, really like the wood design.

I'm glad your doing some nutter expensive stuff. Its interesting to hear your comparisons to reasonably priced gear. Have you heard of the company Borresen? I heard the Borresen 01 at AXPONA 2022. It was in a small room, setup in the room funny, and I sware to you it sounded better than every single other setup at the show I heard including massive Wilson mega setups in bigger more proper rooms. I wonder if they would let you review one of there speakers. They cost like 55k pair but my goodness I was blown away how good they sounded. Like best speaker in existence type levels. Also on the cheaper end, the big Pearlisten towers S7T would probably murder everything in your home. Rock on Zeos your a legend!
Had to look those up and, even for being high end af, they look fantastic. Some of the best looking speakers in general I've seen before.
