The cuckoo bird is one of the worst animal mothers in the wild. These birds are notorious for laying their eggs in the nests of other bird species, rather than building their own nests and raising their young. Once the cuckoo's egg hatches, the baby cuckoo pushes the other eggs or hatchlings out of the nest, so it can receive all the attention and food from the foster parents.
The cuckoo's egg is often camouflaged to match the eggs of the host bird, which makes it more difficult for the foster parents to detect the intrusion.

"This bird reminds me, as if bowing down, of the historical events carried out by Zionist Jews with the Palestinians. The Palestinian people treated the Jews well when they came from Europe fleeing Hitler. They were brought into their land 75 years ago, seizing 90% of Palestinian territories. Little add on my teacher taught me:
If somehow the host mama bird figures out that’s not her egg and gets rid of it and the cuckoo finds out, the cuckoo will kill her kids-
And doesn't it also sometimes kill the parents on rare occasions.
Nope that’s not true. They don’t kill chicks. They just lay another egg in a different nest. Honestly cuckoos are quite mild compared to most other animals. People just choose to hate on them because they don’t look cute and fluffy
I've seen a mom abandon the nest altogether. The cuckoo chick starved and it was great to see

that's nature and nobody can do anything about it, that's the way they have evolved and adapted. humans aren't nannies in charge of others;

Like how the parents keep feeding even when it's at the point in its life where it's pretty obvious that it's not one of them.
If the birds refuse to feed it or push the egg out of the nest the mother bird comes back and destroys the nest and the real eggs within.

Also each cuckoo is like specialised on a certain egg colour and pattern that is similar to another bird species around it. So they can't just randomly drop their eggs in whatever nest they want. I don't know how exactly this works but it has something to do with the genetics

Hey can you make a video on the Colombian Lesser Black Tarantula aka the Xenethis Immanus, they’re a beautiful and large Tarantula with it’s hot pink markings on its carapace and light brown urticating hairs which they kick into the air when threatened, not only that they keep a pet frog on their burrow that protects their eggs from small insects or parasite and the Tarantula protects the frog from any other predators. Ideally, the cuckoo would be leaving their eggs with humans rather then other birds. I mean, we're willing to knowingly raise a different species' offspring, like when someone buys a parrot as an egg and hand raises it.
Not true. What is ur reasoning for ur comment?
@@deborahklinlger8565 It is true. We raise our pets from babies to adults. People save fallen or abandoned baby birds all the time and raise them as their own. That’s the reasoning for this persons comment, humans will raise baby animals without a second thought.

Okay i pull up
lmao
They already did that.
What disturbs me more is that as soon as the bird is fresh from the egg, it already has the idea to push the other babies out of the nest
Mmhm, I've learned that there was a practice where people would seek out the parasitic eggs and remove them to ensure the actual eggs stayed safe. Not sure if it's still done.
That can cause more harm than good, unfortunately. The mother cuckoo will periodically check up on its chick, and if the cuckoo chick is missing, it will destroy the nest and kill the chicks inside of it. That’s why most species birds don’t recognize and expel cuckoo chicks. All the ones who do get punished by the cuckoos and have a lower chance of having offspring in the future if cuckoos keep harassing their nests.
that's flat-out stupid... glad it's illegal in the us in the case of brown headed cowbirds, black billed cuckoos, yellow billed cuckoos, etc (although our cuckoos aren't *obligate* brood parasites)

That poor egg and baby bird..🥺🥲 R.I.P
Why is there no good mother in the wild
That is a good "mother", becase in the wild human morals are not important, that species leaves its kids to someone who can take care of it well, gives it a good survival rate

Human women do this exact same thing. They will let a man think the baby is his just so they will raise them, the whole time knowing damn well that baby came from another man. It’s horrendous how often this happens
I know some people in society who practice the same strategy.but with them, they have been given ample oppourtunity.and still have done nothing.but continue to demand more
Basically, it’s forced adoption.
This is in fact where the word "cuck" comes from
Has anyone done an experiment on how if an Iron Ball the size of an Egg is combined with a Cookoo Bird, will the Iron Ball also be ejected from the nest?
Kind a like leaving a baby at a fire station
I wish to see one day where the cuckoos place an egg in the wrong nest.
Me watching this reminds me of Zefrank last video.
That's why whenever I come across a cuckoo egg i chuck it at a rock
No wonder they get jailed in cuckoo clocks. To serve off their murder sentences 😢
Ah. My step kids mom in the wild.
Even more horrible parents than dolphins
The bird that invaded the nest, enslaved the natives, and killed their children.
Their was a clip where a Coocoo chick gets a dash of karma. It pushes all the other chicks out of the nest and settles down to wait for its next feed all alone in the nest. Then out of nowhere, a snake comes along and grabs it.
No wonder cuckoo is sometimes used to reffer to crazy
They purposely push their other siblings out of the nest so they have theirs all to themself
Wow I never knew this. Cuckoo sounds so cute I d never thought of this😫😂
Its basically adoption, but how it works in nature and not suggercoated by humanity
what confuses me is how do these birds not imprint on the different species that's caring for them, how do they know to mate with their own species to keep the cycle going?
So basically, cuckoo's are the single mothers of the avian species
Make those birds distinct
Someone need to make a video trolling the cuckoo bird 😂 where the cuckoo bird pushes the eggs / baby birds out, and then someone picks them up and puts them back in and the cuckoo bird has to do it all again, it would make for such a good video
Ey I ain’t need to actually see the cuckoo throw an egg out tho 😂

The real question is how does the baby cuckoo bird grow up to know to abandon its child in another birds nest without any parent teaching them? Instinct or something?
Well....my nick name is cuckoo 🐣
