The BOMB trip..... would like to know if your planning another African trip??? Enjoyed your video and editing.i like the name of the places you went to spelled out on screen. People take for granted that just because you "say" it in the video..... we can spell it and locate on the map. Very much appreciated!

" I had straight backs because Alicia Keys said it was alright " 😂😭 felt that . Only my mom wouldn't let me use added hair and I was one of those kids that had hair that thick but not quite shoulder length . When braided it looked a bit longer but meh . It looked nothing like Alicia's but I begged my mama to hook me up ( wooden beads included ) for my first grade pics

OMG you have brought back soo many memories! My first trip to Kenya when I was about 8 we went to Maasai Mara, and on another trip we stayed at White Sands hotel in Mombasa 😍 Ah and the food. Samosa with fresh lime juice, sukuma wiki, pilau with kachumbari, chapati, ugali, mbuyu, nyama choma, madazi! DROOL! I can't eat half the stuff now that I am vegan loool. How I do love that country. Did your parents teach you Swahili? I am still annoyed that both my parents speak it... to eat other but somehow neglected to speak to my brother or I in it kmt.

The Kenyan food is influenced and shared with a vast number of other countries and cultures; I am ready for that starch. It is so crazy that I have been binge watching your videos and found so many similarities. For example, going on a Royal Caribbean cruise this September, going back to my motherland Kenya in 8 days after 7 years. In addition, I am planning to up and move from Lonon to Texas next year after I have finished my master's degree.

Giirrrrlll my dad didn't prepare me for how horrible it would be! Hot as the devil's belly button, nothing electronic worked, the cart attendant wouldn't give me change for a large bill to cart my belongings, guards tried to get me to open my bags so they could check them (aka steal my nice towels). I was over it.

@@IjeomaThePlantMamaWhere r u departing from. I live in Michigan but Im flying out from toronto . It's way cheaper that way for me. I found a closer time to the schedule of when they want me to arrive. You might have to leave like a whole day or two before the actual trip because of the lay overs. If ur in the states it might be easier to fly to Toronto then out from there cause it has better flights heading straight there. I had used Priceline for my flights.

@@nobumsleftbehindprteam4830 thank you! I live close the Philadelphia International so I was looking to fly out either there or JFK. I'll look into flying out of Toronto, but that might be more of a hassle for me...My issue was also finding an arrival time in the 2pm-4pm window. And yeah, I plan on leaving April 3rd to account for the layovers...

    • @nobumsleftbehindprteam4830

Awesome, social awareness events, good to learn about those people. That was amazing for your cousin to do. Aww your family is so nice, they offered to feed them. Awesome!!! Would you consider hosting a trip somewhere? I think you would be so good at it!!! I believe you get the true idea of travel which is to learn about people and culture through food and experiences and the only way to do that is to at some point get off the beaten path. Pkease consider this so that I may save my coins for wherever the trip is!! I'm putting it in the atmosphere! You could discuss how to be a creative and do exactly what you suggested...link up with local influencers!! Mobile that office Evelyn, you are commissioned to greatness!! I visited Kenya this April and stayed at Sarova too! It was my first time to visit 8 years after living there so I know how it feels seeing so many things change especially in Nairobi, but it looks like you had a great trip and I'm glad you showed the One Love Travel Club Mukuru Kwa Njenga and spread awareness!

LOOOOOOOL EVELYN THE INTRO ALREADY HAD ME DEAD! Seems like we almost had the EXACT same trip. Even saw the same faces from the Maasai Mara. AND YES about the food! We had great homecooked food the first night and the rest of the week was...yea na. We loved UGALI though! (We would love to know what you think of our travel vlogs, we're always about travelling and interacting with the motherland/african diaspora - Kenya, Gambia, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica). We got plans to visit Ghana & SA next. Love the channel as always. Your internet cousins from the UK X (p.s. high key low key vex we didn't get to meet you whilst you were here but i'ma hold those tears for later)
