Holy shit. The depth of this unreleased game is just so amazing. I thought I'm only learning one tech, but I learned like 3 other tech from this video. Great job man.
Such a great video, man. You did an excellent job of highlighting the isolated mechanics, then following up with use cases, and even chaining in other movement tech with it. Your channel deserves much more traction. I really hope this stuff stays in the game, too. Good aim and good movement should always be rewarded.
@@WeeWeeWermWangStalker The thing about air control is that it removes the one disadvantage of being in the air. @@colbyboucher6391 That's all true, very good point. Lash main here. I'll abuse this high heavens. Thank you. I've also found out a way to glide off curving edges like the lane bridges with a perpendicular dash that keeps your full dash momentum, letting you almost surf on the edge for great lengths. Problem is, I can't reliably replicate it yet.
Holy moly, I did know about the zip line momentum and I use it at the very beginning to surprise my enemies with a ground slam right at the start (i can sometimes get a first blood like this), but this tech... Oh man, I gotta love this. Personally, I would understand if they patched this, even if this is useful for the majority of heroes. I only really hope that they wont patch ZMC cuz that thing is totally not intended. But if they turn these bugs into a feature, and normally Valve does that, then that'd once again prove why I love Valve.
Theoretically any surface that is greater than 45 degrees and less than 90 will give you a boost. This is because deadlock’s wall bounce mechanic gives you a boost in the direction of the surface normal. Typically this makes you bounce away from the wall you’re bouncing off of, but in the case of angled surfaces, some of that boost is directed up, so it adds up with the normal upwards boost you get from the wall jump.
Something I've seen no one else do or talk about, you can wall jump off your guardians. Can do some cool things when juking, defending against dives, getting some air for poke, etc.
No shot you had neon white records at the start of the game. Cool video! Im good at neon white, but this video blows my skills and knowledge of deadlock out of the water😂
Launch Neon White speed running was some of the most fun I've had with a game. I had to go through your channel to see some of your runs, really great stuff!
@@TempestRequiem0 Yeah, I've been messing with early game gank routes too, there's a few zip cancel routes that can be super quick. Would definitely make for a good video.
i discovered these a bit ago and mostly just used them for height on bebop ult. I think Mirage 3 also works as a heavy melee cancel on an incredibly short cooldown, would be interesting to see some footage of him
I knew such stuff will come out. This is source engine, so stuff from Apex Legends / CS will show up. Wonder if developers will keep it. I’m pretty sure wall jump will be adjusted in future.

Getting that much height off of the golden statues and the tiny posts/ledges should be removed, but I love the idea of being able to bounce off an umbrella or a truck to get to the rooftops or the zipline faster
People asking for its removal makes me sad man, can we please leave things like this alone, its pure skill expression and requires skill, timing and expression.
It's cool and fun, but it's also unexpected behaviour that gives you an extremely large advantage. On top of that, it makes design and balance harder. I think it's fun, and love me some niche movement skills, but I also understand why some people think it should be removed.
Personally I believe they should take the "It's not a bug It's a feature" route and make it more consistent and easy to do but leave it in, it feels like a spiritual successor of trimping from TF2 to me but in its current state it feels clunky and unresponsive so that should be tweaked a bit. Definitely don't remove it though, movement techs are cool.
02:00 trying yo reproduce It but ending doing a normal jump once Im over the phone booth, may u explain to me what I am doing wrong? Same problem in 03:30 jump, thanks!
You think this is a bug or a feature? Something they will patch or leave alone? With how new the game still is and it constantly changing I worry about spending my time learning things that could be removed.
I've seen this video 2 weeks ago and since then tried to do phone booth corner boost and still can't do it consistently. How long you've been practicing all of that stuff?😫
Here comes the doomfist movement debate, which will end in Lash gaining 300hp in place of doing no damage and his techs becoming much more simplified and intentional
dam so abrams basically gets the value of majestic leap by buying other items (and the value of those items too)... certainly will be nerfed I think, at least the melee cancel. Can he ult at the end of that combo too?
I recently picked it up and have been enjoying it. Runs great on my 3080 and on High my FPS stay well over 100 @ 1440p. The increased screen space is nice in a busy game like Deadlock
If you're struggling to get it down and find you're constantly using your double jump you're very likely not looking far enough away from the target to trigger the wall bounce. Took me too long to figure this out while practicing.
I guess now I know why they made the imports building taller doesn't seem like you can get up there with Corner Boost and Superior Stamina after the latest patch
I can do these but only when I dont have a spare jump or else it just uses the spare jump. Is there a setting gap here or am I just doing it wrong timing wise?
Make sure you are rotating your hero enough before you get to the edge and perform the Wall Jump input. If you don't rotate enough you will either Mantle or Double Jump normally. I have seen some people say that thinking of this as a "booty bump" helps. Aka you want to time rotating your Hero around so their back hits the edge when you are doing the Wall Jump input. Hope this helps!
Yea, I can do it on the ground, but it’s so much cooler in the air.
