The music in the background is really distracting.

5:36 Both my daughter and I relate on about staying up after midnight (or even all night) to get assignments completed that others could finish at school/work. ❤ Thank you for putting words to this struggle!

That's quite relatable for me, as an autistic ADHDer as well...!

I just discover that i'm twice exceptional. I actually grew up thinking that I was dumb. And I did a neurologist test and face that reality. How can i engage with people like me and know my brain more? I'm kinda 15 years on psicologists because of the disability that I just forgot my abilities and wishes. I just find material in English and for children, I'm not finding help on Brazil.

My son found out about been gifted at college He is 2e severe dyslexia, disgraphia and discalculia.Advanced vocabulary since he was a little kid.His dissability hide his knowledge.Even in college they didnt said anything about 2e. His evaluation showed it that he could be highly gifted but his dissabilty prevent him for having higher scores. The sicologist told him that she was surprise about mis results.

My son had a really bad experience with his GT program. Like you, he felt like he was missing things in his regular class. He also said hr had to complete his class work that he missed on top of the GT work. I was shocked when he told me that…3 years later. We switched to a non traditional private school at the beginning of third grade and they were able to differentiate in the classroom.

My husband hated GT in school bc he was pulled out of recess and art. Luckily now there’s a rule that you can’t pull kids out of specials.

I find her experience with anxiety and A(u)DHD (or not being able to focus well sometimes) very relatable, and I'm in 12th grade. It mostly is in school and moments of trigger. But not when I'm motivated and interested, and usually alone. Sometimes I get too hard on myself for my remiss, lack of effort, and laziness at performing well in the system and daily life. At times, in school, I don't study much (I do appear to be engaged in class, however, but I'm mostly in my head or reading something) until the very last moments before the final exams, and I pick it up 2 days before and score about average. (I'm an Aspie, or level 1 ASD in modern, confusing terms. I also have ADHD.)
I shall overcome my issues, and manage, work with, and deal with my problems and myself (meaningfully, I've noticed, is the first step of best), and not fall short over my ambitions and dreams. For these are obstacles, and we can do better, and potentially, the best...
    Thanks for podcasting!
