this is great..... And how I taught my bird to talk! making little tapes like this.....then after she learned she could talk..... I didn't have to make tapes anymore .....now we only do that for fun because she remembers them and it like seeing an old friend and she gets all excited ....in the beginning it was my method of .........training and I have a parakeet that says about a thousand phrases..... And they say females don't talk mine does I love her to death her name is peepers all these little tapes on here is how she learned now when she hears me talk she picks it up and no one can believe I have a parakeet that talks likes her

Birds learn by repetition. They have more patience than humans,imo. Lol. The only thing about teaching them a new phrase is you need to be ready to hear it over and over and over again,allll day long,for the rest of your life because most likely your bird will outlive you, unless its one of the smaller birds that dont live 50+ years. Lol most of the time they dont " unlearn" a word or phrase. Even if you totally ignore them when they say something undesirable. Its best to teach them from hearing your voice but ive had some success with these videos in the past.

It really depends on the bird. Some learn quickly. Some take a few weeks

Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to learn about how do you train a parrot try Knewreck Parrot Training Guide (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my partner got excellent success with it.

Yes it does! But a Green Cheek would speak in a soft gravelly voice. They take a little longer to learn as well so just keep up with it! My Green Cheek learned in about 4 weeks!
