I shop almost the same way as you. We've been married for 30 years so over time I've been able to build up a good and usable stockpile. For my cleaning products I use a bleach for the loo and bathroom, and cream cleanser and a multipurpose spray. The multipurpose spray I buy in bulk, 5litres for AUD$30/£15 from the hardware store. You only need 20 ml in a 500ml spray bottle of water. It lasts for ages and therefore saves loads of money.
This is a great series! I make a one product wonder for my cleaning. I use it to clean everything. It's a half teaspoon of dye free dish soap in a 32 ounce spray bottle. If something needs a little extra, I'll mix one cup of white vinegar with one cup of water and do a wipe down. It has saved me tons of money over the years. Just thought I'd share this tip with you.
Great ideas! You are spot on with cooking around what the deals are. We meal plan by what's on offer that week, and supplement with what's in the cupboard's. A friend of mine from 25 years ago worked at the local grocery store in our small village and she said she would see what was coming on offer for the next week and cook around what she bought on sale. I was a recently married gal and her lesson stuck with me all these years later.
Lizzie! 😂 You said “blueberry flavor” instead of “blueberry scent” and for just a second I was quite alarmed. I love pink grapefruit scent also. Usually it’s lemon scented in the kitchen as it removes onion & garlic smell the best
Great advice, you're very practical and clever. One tip I was told is never to go shopping when you're hungry as you're more tempted to buy things you hadn't planned. ❤
My friend told me about home made cleaners and I love them. Vinegar and water and a few drops of fragrance oil. The scent is stronger than the Vinegar so you can't smell it. Smells lovely!!
Great video. We use minimal cleaning products, nothing fancy. Will you be doing another video on what you will be doing to prepare for winter this year?
Hi Lizzy. I've found that I don't have to use as much hair conditioner when I wear my silky sleep bonnet. It cuts way down on the frizz and my hair feels super soft!!
Thanks for sharing! Can I ask what you use for washing up liquid? I'm never sure if I can dilute mine to make it last longer. I food shop the same way as you, buy whatever is cheap and improvise. I find it stops me being overwhelmed by too many choices as well as saving me money. I hope you get a definite diagnosis soon, that should make everything a bit easier.
Sorry if you think this is a new video, I realised I put the wrong heading and thumbnail on, so sorry 💕
@@frugallizzybee That's ok. I'm way, way behind on my YT watch later list. About 6 weeks behind.

I'm the same with the cleaning stuff Lizzy. Washing up liquid, bleach and disinfectant covers most cleaning jobs in my house!
Fab info as always. I love cleaners that have a multi purpose too!! 🙂

Thank you, I've tried meal planning so many times and really didn't work for us. But this works everytime and saves us so much money💕

Nice, Interesting to see what you make and use ❤
All you need to do with microwaves is heat cold water in it to create stream and then use a cloth to clean the microwave.
Great, thank you 💕
