In case anyone reads this, the reason why Mario turns back and forth in Donut Secret 1 on Yoshi but is holding right (and at one point the controller appears to be holding left) is because this video is playing at 30 frames per second because of its resolution here on TH-cam. SMW is running at 60 frames per second while being recorded on the emulator, and the left and right buttons are being alternated *every frame*, so when the TH-cam compression reduces the video to only show every other frame of what used to be 60 frames per second, it only keeps the frames where one direction appears to be pressed. What the emulator sees: RLRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRL What TH-cam compression keeps: R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R- At one point, the left-right alternation is offset by other movement, so left is shown every frame instead of right, and the above happens, just with it being L-L-L-L-L-L-, etc. Hope this helped someone!

In 1998 I was 10, and while playing SMW somehow I managed to activate a glitch that changed Yoshi's appearance into other random characters such as the football player, tomatoes or even Peach. I remember riding a Yoshi that had the head of football player and the body of an "!" block. There was some other shit I can't remember. I totally freaked out and called my older brother, who came in and reset the game before I could show him my discovery. I could never switch the glitch on again.
3:40 That's what happens when Mario takes mushrooms. Mario, stay away from those kinds of drugs. If you want to do drugs, I suggest marijuana (at least that's safe)
You forgot... Dropping Yoshi through the floor at the start of Donut Secret 1. Showing how the first division wings are flammable in DS1. How to always get a 1-up in the bonus game at 7:08 (although hard to show since this is tool assisted anyway) Killing Hammer Bros. with fireballs to make them despawn, then respawn them on their platform. And thanks ...for thanking me, I guess.
Watching this makes me wonder if you can use that warp sprite that is in donut plains 4. (You know, at the slanted pipe) Because it causes a screen glitch. That would be an awesome addition to this

Well there aren't really any level-specific gliches per se, (except from yi3, with the rotating brown platforms, but we've done that); but there are levels which have a better "playing field" (for lack of a better term) for certain glitches. Don't want to give too much away, but Cheese Bridge Area and Star World 3 are going to be beast. :D
...If THIS is the LEAST interesting segment of the run, I can't wait to see those places you claim will be awesome. Donut Plains 4 was already quite an interesting watch. :) So are you going to get all 96 exits, or are you just leaving out levels that wouldn't be entertaining enough?
num they are not breaking the game in any way. It's a rom (read-only memory) the most they'll do is break his save file by not being able to start from it due to the game allowing too many un-handled exceptions while trying to read it.

do you have any idea how to successfully do the chargin chuck glitch with yoshi. I play this game on the original SNES and did it once but could never replicate.

I loved every second of this. This is so entertaining to me, I love this kind of stuff.
The program just lets you perfect the moves, so these glitches are in the game, but TAS lets you do them perfectly.
