I watched Jeff Ferdette do a rear tire change when he was riding Suzuki in less than two minutes. I think it was actually time was 1 minute 42 seconds. He had to take the wheel off the bike remove the tire replace it blow it up and put the wheel back on the bike. That was what actually inspired Rick Simon from dirtbike magazine (AKA super hunky) to enter a tire changing contest at the Blackwater 100. I think it was 1983, do a search and it should be on TH-cam somewhere. it was pretty funny. Good Times for sure. Thanks for the memories. By the way, Jeff’s tire change was legit. There was no tire changing machines or anything like that. It was too tire irons and a wrench for the axle.
