In this episode, we visit the iconic Ettamogah Pub! Originally a lively hotspot, this beloved landmark has seen better days, with limited hours and some wear and tear. In this video, we explore the remnants of Ettamogah Village and reflect on its past glory. Despite its current condition, there’s a unique charm to the pub that’s worth experiencing. We'd love to hear from you! Share your thoughts, ask questions, or tell us about your own Big Lap adventures in the comments below.
Goodness, you're so blessed in finding one gorgeous parkup after another ❤ Love the stars shots. That looks like a fun place to visit and stay a spell. Did you hear those birds at night? They were just saying hello to your viewers 😉 Glad you got Vinnie a battery, there's just no need being worried about reliability. Always enjoy seeing your beautiful country, thank you for the work it takes to bring us along. Scrub a dub and safe travels, GOD bless
Hi, l’m new here. That pub is pronounced Etamooga, but how amazing that it was created because of a cartoon. You are such lucky people ,living the dream, but l’m happy to be tagging along. Does your van have a name? It’s a very long time since l was at Albury - Wodonga and the area is gorgeous. Thank you for taking me back. I’m subscribing. 🙏🏼💖
Fun fact It's the original one and bulit at Etamogah. I know the lady that was the Town Olanner at the time, She said that due to the shape of the building there was a lot of dramas getting building approval.
Wow lovely spot. We now have a dog in the form of a Black Labrador. She is gorgeous and we love her to bits already. She is a retired Gundog and is so sweet.
Hi Sand and Tim、and of course、Pablo Apologies, I have no idea about Ettamogah Pub hahahah There are so many places just like Ettamogha where once is a tourist destination, but becomes a ghost town. Your walking tour fascinates me though. haha Tim does laundry? ahhhh dark color, red, light color and white must be separated..haha Well done...
Hey guys, great to see you again. Sandy I have to agree that the last location had to be the nicest I’ve seen you guys at so far on the tour. Nothing short of breathtaking. You’re so lucky to live in such a beautiful country. An idea for you. Pictures of all the good shots out of the back doors on a calendar sounds cool. What do you think? 😊😊😊
G'day, I lived in a house just a few KM from your last campsite. I grew up just a little up the road, It will always be "Home" regardless of where I am living.
Now you're getting down towards my old stomping grounds of where I grew up - north east Vic. But half my family lived or still live in Albury, so I'm intimately familiar with the place. There was no Ettamogah Pub at Ettamogah when I was growing up. It came later. It is Etta MOW guh btw. As in what you do to grass. 😂 We did stop at the pub a few times on the way to and from Sydney years later when we moved to Sydney. It was vibrant going concern then. Full of tourists. There was another pub at Darling Harbour in Sydney too. I reckon the decline is because nobody knows the cartoon any more. When I was kid it was hugely popular. What a top spot you had on the lake. I think it is near where my aunty and uncle had a place right on the lake foreshore. Beautiful. I hope you saw the old Bethanga Bridge and Old Tallangatta - they moved the town when they created the lake. I kept thinking you'd have swung back around and kept going north before now - but now it looks like you're heading towards some of Victoria's most beautiful country - the mountains. I grew up in Myrtleford btw. Pretty little town at the foot of the mountains. Excellent job Sandvanners!
