      Lmfao right?! To have a million dollars lying around that you can spend on a car that you plan on never driving.

    Had all the emissions because it wouldn't pass Maryland inspection without it and low miles because it over heated.

    My God... Can I get a one for one replica that I can drive around? Lol they don't make cars like they used to.

    Ahh yes the ol detuned version of the original 1970 454 LS6. They did have aluninum heads tho.

    • @thud9797
      @thud9797 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Compression drop to 9 to 1, that's it, no detuning. 425hp.

    • @cali2468
      @cali2468 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@thud9797 I mean…in all honesty, I would consider a over two points reduction in compression from different pistons as well as going from closed to open chamber heads “detuned”. lol 450hp>425hp. The ‘71 did have freer-flowing exhaust manifolds though.

    • @cali2468
      @cali2468 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@thud9797 The only reason the ‘71 Corvette LS6 is able to compete with the LS6 Chevelle is because the vette is several hundred pounds lighter. Imagine if you took two Chevelles and put a ‘70 spec LS6 in one and a ‘71 spec in the other. The car with the 1970 LS6 motor would trounce it. Easily.

      Fair enough, I guess a side by side drag race would be pretty close.

      @@thud9797 Definitely close. If I had to choose one I’m picking the vette.

    No such thing as a ZR-1 small block Corvette in 1971 and prior (0:59). It was a 427 which is obviously a big block.

      The ZL-1 was a all aluminum 427, And was 1969 only. The ZR-1 (70-72) was the high performance, LT1 350 combined with a handling package. And the ZR2 (1971 only) was basically the same handling package except with the 454.
