Thank you for sharing your all time classic. MUCH LOVE PS Thank you for having such big salads for yourself. Sounds tasty!! It’s more garlic than I would use raw myself it sounds tasty and similar to some mixes I’ve enjoyed too. It’s funny, I’ve always been told eating bay leaves is toxic, to simmer with them and remove, but just researching it this seems to be a myth. The issue usually is how hard and pointy the leaves are, blended it wouldn’t matter tho. I’ve never tried them in raw dishes, how’s the flavour?

Hey Chris, Thanks for this recipe looks yummy, only I can't eat flax or hemp as I have bad reactions what could I use instead? Sesame seeds or sunflower seeds? I am worried that I can't get my omega 3 as I can't eat flax or hemp. Any suggestions I would be sooooo grateful. Thank you in advance. xx
Thank you so much for responding to My question, I forgot chia has omega 3 and I didn’t know pumpkin seeds did. But start using chronometer. Is that an app you use for nutritional profiling?
More than my pleasure! Pumpkin seeds aren’t really a optimal 3-6 ratio but are a very nutritious seed with high levels of zinc, useful to include from time to time. Chia is a great way to boost the omega 3’s and can be used more often if that’s a concern. It’s also helpful to note that fresh fruit and veg in general has a great omega 3-6 balance, I’d encourage those to be the main calorie sources and the seeds just a addition.
@@TheRawAdvantage 1st I was a vegetarian, then I was a raw vegan and then I was a fruitarian. I did dry fasts and water fasts and juice fasts... I've tried everything with herbs and God's food. good video awsome recipy thans a question how much omega 3 can one eat before getting thinning blood and a stroke?does that not incluedplants omega 3? Do you take opti 3 supplements DHA & EPA?
More than my pleasure! I personally wouldn’t recommend going above 15-20% of our calories coming from fat on average, if they are high omega 3 or rather a ballanced ratio of 3 to 6 between 1-1 or 1-4 at the upper I think that’s great. I do not supplement omega 3 nor take a DHA or EPA supplement, my focus is on getting the ratio above to favour conversion of omega 3 to EPA and DHA. Dr Rick goes into this in the video I link in the description :)
If you wanted to you could but indeed tofu isn’t raw. Also, isn’t the mainstream belief that one needs tofu on a vegan diet is a misnomer anyhow. I’d say if you really like it go for it, that said this dish is already quite high in calcium, protein, iron and has a great omega balance 🙌🏼
Will this also be great with brocolli? I really want to try it I bought all the ingredients today this will be the first time in a year I've attempted to follow a raw vegan recipe. I the brocolli won't defrost in time so I'm just gonna make the dressing and pour it over a salas. I'll make it with the veges tommorow :)
Works great over broccoli, often I switch it up that way and sometimes over salad greens / Napa cabbage or zucchini noodles :) Hope you enjoyed and enjoy it tomorow too!
WOW!!!! I can't believe you finally gave it up lmao. Thank you. OMG I can't stop laughing at the cauliflower face!!! which version do you think tastes better?
It’s seriously the best, I like it more than actual steamed veg. It works great for cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, Brussels and even greens like kale, collards, spinach etc if you want a steamed texture and taste :)
I prefer crimini but do eat button sometimes, indeed they do most often grow in poo, exposing to uv light is antibacterial but truthfully I’ve never been concerned.
Hey Chris what is so unfavourable about the ratio of medium chain triglycerides in coconut? What might the problem be consuming MCT regularly, I did not think it was a problem.
Coconut is is high in saturated fat, not bad but not a fat I would make a staple for optimal health. For sure plant based saturated fat is better than animal based but still imho and from my research one is better off with lower levels, a great omega 3-6 balance (1 to 1 up to 1 to 4 as upper) and in general lower fat levels (8 - 15ish % total calories) all together. I am not a fan of oils for ingestion, highly processed and pure fat devoid of all other nutrients. To me the rational of eating MTC is most often to avoid carbs and even simple carbohydrates such as fruit which imho is a big mistake for health and disease prevention. Hope that helps. Again not saying coconut is bad, I LOVE it, just not as a staple unless smaller amounts with the higher omega 3 seeds striking a balance.
It’s been over 15 years now and I am in perfect health, recovered from Candida, depression and major injuries like fracturing my back and nearly dying in a motorcycle accident.

To another day!🤗🙌🏼 Half a portion would likely be perfect for most people. Really my portions are huge as I’m a long term raw foodie, fairly big and very active! Even so, for the average woman this entire dish would actually be less than 1/2 the fat percentage of what is considered low fat by definition, which is 30% .
