So I purchased my GWF-D1000B today. The blue accents are gorgeous, the build quality: out of this world. Makes my other G - Shocks look like toys. I have 17cm wrist and I think the bracelet is at fault for the big size. The watch itself is about the same as GW-9400. Also I am not sure why all TH-camrs have this drama about the weight. Yes, he is heavy compared to your average G - Shock, but compared to an automatic dive watch? He is really light compared to them. I also ordered JaysAndKays strap adapter so I can put an Isofrane strap on him, which will make him severely more wearable without degrading his premium looks. I can honestly say he is amazing watch and I don't want to stop wearing him.
Congrats on a fantastic choice and I agree with you 100% on your comment regarding the weight of the D1000 Frogman. I’ve seen one on the JaysAndKays adapter and it looks good while not taking anything away from the piece. I personally prefer the straps but that’s just me. Well done and wear it in the best of health mate.
Yeehaaa! Beautiful review of an awesome watch! When I was younger, 22 years old, I received my Open Water (One) Dive Certification, and I grabbed my first dive watch from Casio to compliment my wrist. I was a Sea World Marine Animal Keeper and our animal crew did alot of animal rescues in the ocean. Awesome times!!! Now that I'm older, 55 years now and very active in the oceans of Florida, I made the purchase of hopefully my last dive watch in honor of the first. I'm a fisherman, scubadiver and outdoorsman and I think this watch would be a perfect fit for my active lifestyle. It should last for another 40+ years, or so on my wrist. Haa! Great review and for a diver who uses this watch, simple is always better when in the mode of diving. Bells and whistles will only destract your focus in the open ocean and this watch is just that... Tide currents, moon phase, current time, count down timer, accention, and depth gauge are all you need to make your dive a success! Everything else is extra and not needed, but ill take it! I just ordered the 1000 series as it will be used for what it was designed to do... Thank you for your wonderful review mate!
Wow! This is probably the most detailed reply I’ve ever had to a video. Your diving certification is commendable, well played sir. I’m not a diver but I’m in love with diving and everything that it encompasses. Love watching Orca (in the ocean” and I see the resident pod regularly here in the BC lower mainland. Your experience with Marine World is also very impressive. Please keep in touch with me here and on instagram (desire 68_youtube) also, fun fact, you and I are the same age 🖤🙏🏾🖤
Absolutely mate! I sold my ranch in White Salmon, Washington one and a half years ago, due to Covid. I worked in Portland as an Orthopaedic Specialist. Lost my career at Kaiser Hospital, because I understood the science of MRNA and did not comply to the vaccine mandate. Theythen fired me a year later. Fast forward to the now... I'm now back if Florida, my home state starting my life over with a new chapter creating my own industry using my skills as an Orthopaedic Specialist to create my own products. No more working for someone else and having my life within their hands. I know Astred VanGunniken, from Vancouver Island. Both her and Kenneth C. Yeeeehaaa! 😂 The exact same watch that you are showing in your video, is the one that I've ordered and for a diver who uses this watch, simple is always better when in the mode of diving. Tide currents, moon phase, current time, count down timer, accention, and depth gauge are all you need to make your dive a success! Everything else is extra and not needed, but ill take it! @@desire68frogman98 received the beast today! And on a Sunday which is odd for here. Maybe because it was express from overseas. I'm surprised how well it fits on my smallish wrist. The gap between my wrist and the band isn't really much more than my gulfman either. Not much bulkier than my old burning red GW7900 to be honest. Just wider. It struggled to stay on high charge today but I think that's just due to being just out of the box. Will give it a proper wear this week. It will be my daily so will be getting a spare band and bezel eventually.

Is there a lock that I need to open, within the menu, to activate the operation of the light button?
