@@DougFNJ The pressure pot is the only way, unless you have a pressure device especially for watches, in fact I know a few guys who have them, so could give it a good test at 200m :)) You're very welcome my friend, and it's the side that's most important for the GWF-D1000... hope you keep it, they're getting harder to find at a good deal now!
these watches can literally save your life!! and i'm speaking from a personal experience ... Im from italy and as is known here we've got many beautiful mountain places..a couple of years ago i decided to take a hike to of one these areas of my region, but the weather changed quickly and it started to rain heavily.. for one thing or another I ended getting lost ... thank God I had my rangeman GPR B 1000 with me and that i previously tracked my starting point, finally managing to get home .. God bless the G- shock!!!
This is the best Frogman of all! And undeniably most underrated line up in the Master G series. Only the truest and real GSHOCK person, knows that this Frogman is the best GSHOCK model ever made, having a touch to the design of a Classic square GSHOCK that I love, that 3 tone color, red,white and black, and not compromising to achieved that modern look and feel, and maintaining the Frogman signature unique asymmetric design, making it the most special GSHOCK ever, that brings the nostalgic feeling in every GSHOCK owner. And adding a triple sensor making it the ultimate Frogman. How I wish they still make this exact model again. This is made out of sapphire glass, and the quality build is superb! Thank you for making a side by side comparison with the GFW-1000. Never seen someone doing a close comparison like yours. Kudos to you.👍🏼

Frogman is the master of G-shocks, even if you are not a diver, you get a screw back case! This is huge in electronic watches! This is real sealing system for real watches which wont bend over time and let your screen fog, case leak or whatsoever occuring from the weather and enviromental conditions! The whole case is stainless steel and the backcase is screwed - this is real time piece with electronic module inside, that is what it is. No one tells you, but if you leave regular G-shock (with 4 screws that holds the backplate) on the sun when outside is over 40 degrees celsius and leave it there for an hour or two, your back plate of the case is slightly bended. If you deside to go into a sauna for longer time and then go into the ice bucket, then your case back is bend for sure. Then just wait for the winter to come and look at your watch screen and tell me what you see... (if you can see below the fog of course) With the frogman you can't bend the back plate in any conditions

@@StardustLegacyFighter its like the Porsche 911 two doors coupe, Many people still prefer its original shape rather than the 4 doores Panamera for example as it was released decades later. Same as the Rolex also, its design has not been changed for many years, and millions of people still love it, means development of the design is not always a successful a way to attract people.
I’ve got the previous model frogman I wear it daily for the past 10+ years it’s an absolute tank, love everything about it wish it had the additional sensors though. As a scuba diver however i must say these watches are pretty useless the display is way way too small to be useful and they are way too complicated to use and see I can’t even remember how to use 99% of the functions on mine they do not replace a dive computer they’re really just well made fashion accessories.
@@DougFNJno not at all. Backup to computer is analogue and backup to that are charts and logs written by hand. I wouldn’t trust this at all and don’t know anyone who does/woild. And the digital display is way too small and not bright/contrasty enough to even read underwater . The light is nowhere near bright enough either. I love this watch but it’s NOT a diving instrument it’s a diving-themed digital watch and it’s well made and tough but not for diving. At BEST I could see you check your time when you enter the water and use the basic time function to huage dive/time but no way could you press these tiny buttons and see anything in the dive-mode etc you’d basically just not “entered water at 3:00, now it’s 3:30, etc”
I absolutely love this G-Shock, so glad I bought it over the Rangeman.

I’m curious as I don’t dive, would you find this to be any kind of decent backup to your dive computer?
