Thanks to you and this video, I was able to also repair the CLK trace that I accidentally cut. It didn't fixed the switch until I realized I melted the CMD resistor and had to wait 2 weeks for a fresh book of 0208 sized resistor pack to arrive and replace that very tiny resistor.

I've done exactly the same thing on my oled. Apparently Switch have thinner layer of mask than what I used to in X360. Stupid mistake after so many other modded consoles. My repair was quite easy and basically looked just like one here, except for the chip.
Few advises for anyone who will try doing it at home: make sure there's no shorts after installing flexes and chip. Just use some kapton tape wherever you soldered wires and on top of the modchip. Chip can also short to the metal shield and you can be surprised when it won't glitch after full assembly the console when it was working while testing.
Avoid 2 point DAT0 flexes - you need to make sure it's holding properly as cheap 2 point flexes can lose connection after a while when moving console around (or after a drop). Kamikaze will be most reliable, but definitely not recommended to amateurs.
And probably most important advise: don't do it if you don't have any experience with soldering - better find someone who's experienced and recommended. Pay him for installation, not for repair.
Great job here, so I would recommend that kind of technician.

You should start covering the solder point with a small kapton tape. Shield is connected to ground.
Had mine come back due to this multiple times.

Yep, i always cut a horizontal 2mm thick thermal pad to size and place it over the dat0 adapter between it and the shield.
Helps with heat dissipation, presses down on the adapter and prevents shorts. 😊

    Hi man,
I find your videos so awesome. I had a Nintendo Switch V1, while trying to install Picofly mod, I have broke a capacitor on Switch's CPU, is there anyway to recover it?
    Thank you!
