I played tekken from tekken 5 to 6.. But my real start is tekken 7 I played it for almost 4 years from 2020 to 2024.. Until tekken 8.. For me I think tekken 8 is better in alot of it elements.. From gameplay to story to character customizations.. Its much better to move on.
I hope tekken 8 ranked feels more like T7s eventually, cause there's no sense of accomplishment in T8 when almost every player at low ranks have 0 clue how to play and even alot of Kishin level players rely strictly on gimmicks.
I honestly as someone who first tekken is 8 is that there should be more ranks or u should be able to get demoted at any rank it makes no sense for the game to coddle you in a ranked setting most characters are easier compared to 7 and then it’s a whole new powerful mechanic which def has issues still the game does feel somewhat casino-ish with heat engagers and heat smash
No. I’m good at the game. There to problems with it. It’s not a bad game, but it’s a little to combo heavy. I miss that a bit, but for people that are ok. They’ll just keep losing, and the more competitive it gets. The more repetitive the fights. The counter hits are the existing to watch.
i got to a higher rank in T8 than T7 but I was urged to learn more in this game compared to T8, that game was so easy to pick up that I didnt feel much of a challenge even at purple because its all mashing. idk maybe im not that good myself but this game made me want to learn how to do everything while T8 is mostly aggresive gameplay
@@three3kz alot of that comes from the volume of new players on launch. i played ranked t8 on day one and got to fujin but i never got higher than juggernaught in 7. tekken legacy skill has been a thing from tekken 5 so if you have some prior time with a tekken game from 5 to 8 your gonna have a major step up on new players.
If you wanna be elitist and play real Tekken, 7 aint it. Gotta go to Tag 2 for real Tekken. Rage Arts, Rage Drives and Power Crush are not real Tekken. Movement and punishment is real Tekken.
@shadowbowser5674 normal throw escapes went from escape command being 1 for 1+3 throw or 2 for 2+4 throw to either or. Rage Art / Drive makes comeback damn near meaningless. Power Crush to keep the scrub offense going. Triple down on it with Tekken 8. Dumb it down even more so defense ain't a factor. Just who can get off first. T8 is basically 2d. You can SS but can't whiff punish bc if you do, your hit box grows and puts you back in axis with the attacker. So if you can't SS whiff punish then it's basically 2d. Dumbed Down Tekken 7 ain't real Tekken and Tekken 8 is basically Marvek vs Capcom Lite.
