Thank you very much! I appreciate the sub, and if you are interested in seeing anything specific, feel free to message me on IG or comment on any video! 🙌
Good video. Only I would had made the in and outlet to size before I start with removing the old filter. Just to be sure the old filter media will be out as short as possible.
Quick question......i just purchased an FX6. I notice none of the O Rings seem greased. Is that normal out of the box. Should I grease them? Thanks and great channel.
That is always a good rule to follow! At that point, the water is the cleanest it'll be, so it extends the life of your chemical media. For this, I tried following what Kavman suggested. This was my first time ever using an FX6 😂 it definitely worked but since then I've made some tweaks!
Are you able to trip the intake tube to raise it up?. Mine is so lose to my substrate and its all the way up already. No one seemed to answer my question . thx!
I would get a little hacksaw and just trim off the length you need from the intake tube! That should work perfectly and bring it up higher for you! I do it with my smaller fluval filters on nano tanks
Hmm... you removed an Ehime canister filter for a fluvall. And it looked like the decent square shaped large Ehime filter. Not sure if you know much about Ehime filters seeing as you said it came with the tank, but they are very good top end range canister filters that usually work better than fluval filters. I think you may end up using that Ehime filter again
Definitely looked into what the filter was and was pleasantly surprised at its performance. But I am a huge fan of the FX6. The ease of use, massive filter media capacity, built in water change system, lots of flow... but that Ehiem worked great while I had it!
How long have you had the stand the 125 is sitting on? Did you reinforce it? If not hiws it holding up because i seen alot of ppl that had that stand said it started to collapse after a month or 2 after setting up the aquarium.
It's been up and running for almost a year now and I haven't seen any flexing or signs of collapse. BUT I do worry about it more than I like to admit. I am currently designing a 240 that will have a solid metal base.
@@TrevsTanks i just got a 125 with the same stand and im reinforcing it for peace of mind. Ik it gets wet in an unprotected spot once and it’s game over.
I love the fx filter, don't get me wrong, but 400$? I just started my 2nd 125 gallon, i put 2 sunsun 3000 on it, $270...pimped it out, works even better, fluval is outrageous

This is so cool! Great job!
Thank you so much Sarah 🙌
Great information, good job on the metal hose clampy thingy, definitely will crack plastic!
Thank you brotha! 🙌 yeah great to have but have to be cautious 😅
Congrats good video
Thank you so much! 🙌
Cool channel. Very similar tank styles to what I'm into. Looking forward to seeing more. Subbed.

Thanks. I’m setting one up next week so this was very helpful
Of course! You will love it! 😍
I came for the information on fish tanks.
I stayed for the kitty sightings.... and the fish tanks.
Lol 😂 she always wants to help but never does 😅

I totally agree! Probably would have helped!

If they seen super dry, grease them up. But if not a little water should work 🙌 and thank you! 😍
Great video I thought the chemical media should be the last thing it should touch before heading back into the tank ?

@@TrevsTanks which part of the intake tube , there are two pieces, is it the one that connects to the rubber tube?
@SureShot702 Yes! The part the connects to the hose! I'd just cut that a little and the cut part will slide right into that rubber piece!
@@TrevsTanks thank you so much !!!!
Awesome video, and the FX6 is a beast! I'm really digging that piece of driftwood you have in there. Can I ask where'd you get it from?
Thank you so much! That driftwood was mine the second I saw it in the store lol 😆 I got it from OceanFloor in Phoenix,AZ.
@@TrevsTanks That's awesome, Thank you.

How much you pay for the Fx?
Thanks
This was a sponsored video for Fluval 🙌❤️ I was lucky enough to get this filter to do an install/review for them 💪
@@TrevsTankswhat did u tell them to get it I wanna do this too

They definitely are expensive, but I absolutely love the FX6! I've never heard of the Sunsun but super cool that it has a built-in UV 💪
How did u get them to give u a free fx6
