People need to realize that Zac didn't leave because of Josh or because of Hayley, he started becoming homesick cause he was always on tour and he missed the comforts of his home
You can see how much love Hayley has for the band and its sad seeing how hard shes had to fight to prove that theyre a family. The fact that Hayley was the only person signed, shows that she could have just as easily went off on her own as a solo artist, yet she consistently chooses the band.
Taylor York from day one was such a genuine part of Paramore even when he was behind the scenes. He’s really always had his heart in it. Some things and some people are meant to be. And it’s 2023, and it still shows. Paramore forever.
I every band there will be one person who is the star, who is the frontman. It is not Hayley's fault that it's her. She is the lead vocalist and she's a girl. And she has the most star power. Honestly, without her the band probably wouldn't even be half as successful as it is today. Those who deny it are kidding themselves. At the end of the day they have to accept that that's how bands work. :/ Love Paramore, and think the Farro's were a big part of it, but I side with the remaining members.
@@NSPLG fr. plus the rest are just dudes.. like ig they’re “important” but still replaceable, maybe a lil hard to replace, or some may feel it would be wrong to replace everyone but hayley but the fact of the matter is is that according to the record labels “paramore” is HER.. the way i see it is its not a big deal to me who makes up the rest of the band as long as her perfect self is still part of it. hayley is so perfect in every way imaginable, that she is probably the only girl in the world i would honestly be fine with bottling her juices/essense into a glass syrup bottle to eat with pancakes + have seconds every day.. just thinking about others girls esssense (whether they be real life crushes or celeb crushes) on my pancakes makes me almost feel gaggy, and almost get sick, but i gues i am just down bad for hayley.. like shes made me sick for her. 😭🫤
The three of us were initiates We had to learn how to deal And when we spotted a second chance We had to learn how to steal - Fast In My Car // Paramore
I totally understand where both parties are coming from. I can understand Josh being bothered by Haley's name being the only one on the contract and all the focus being on her and not the band. All of that drama isn't Haley's fault but the record labels. I'm sure if they could of had their way all of them would've been signed. Hey, I say take what you can get. In all honestly and realness, she is the one that shines and if you take her out of the equation then you have four guys. Yes the Farros added awesome riffs and composed some great music but there's a ton of people that are talented in the world forming bands but Haley stands out in many facets. Record labels noticed this and exploited it because they know the business and money is their god. Haley could solo if she wanted but she chooses to be in a band. So all of you calling her egotistical are lame. To be in her position and handle the fame the way she is at her age is quite impressive to say the least. I'm sure that relationship/marriage issues probably had something to do with the breakup as well but all in all I think it was handled very well by not perpetuating the drama that could of been. Good for them, LONG LIVE PARAMORE!
I have and always will feel that their newest album was purposely meant not to sound like any of their others. I believe in was a reinvention, a diary, and just meant to have fun because sometime in situations like theirs the best thing to do is laugh and forget about it and have fun and I feel they did just that. They didn't want to take things told seriously and dwell on it writing angry an sappy songs, but to let go and dance and laugh after everything happened. I feel if that was their goal, they did a darn good job doing it and I applaud them. It was always about the music. Just remember. And their music in the self titled album was so fun and happy and made you want to act like an idiot. And it was such a symbolic move to have this album self titled. It was like their way of saying were still pushing forward and having a great time doing it. Just my thoughts.
you have a good point. when compared to their previous records, it seems to tell a story of emotion and ambition from all we know is falling, riot, to brand new eyes, which is their most melodramatic raw songwriting from each track on.... their self titled is a new different, fresh sound that is just them 3. paramore. great headstrong band. love haley, she's a one of a kind talent.
People listen what she said!!! She didn't take the record deal herself she did it with the band! Just making it clear! Lead singers will always get more attention. Paramore is one of the best bands I have ever heard very down to earth!
now I think its really clear what happened. i think its mostly managements fault and not hayley, she seemed very confused and she clearly wanted to do the right thing. its good to see how they are moving forward
Love Paramore, love their newest album. Hate they all had to go through the hurt they all felt after putting so much of their hearts into the band. No hard feelings towards Josh and Zac... now, but I do feel, Josh let his ego and resentments get in the way in this situation. If he had that much of a problem with Hayley, the mature thing to do was talk about it amongst themselves, hash it out or do whatever he needed to do to be able to let it all go and walk away in a more peaceful manner instead of causing more hurt on top of what was already a bad situation. After being in a personal relationship with Hayley for 3 years, he owed their past that decency. Not to mention his relationship with the other guys. That was not Josh's finest moment and I'm sure now he probably realizes he could have handled things differently and more maturely but hindsight is 20/20. Whatever the case, they all seem happier and at peace about everything now and I wish nothing but the best for all of them, Farro brothers included. Paramore however, I hope continue to kick ass cause they're so good! For me, they're stronger the way they are now, and I personally prefer them as a trio.
He started the band, but when Hayley started, it became her band... The record company treated the band as Hayley's helpers, and they got enough. Hayley is the bad one here. And what makes it even worse is that she kept the band name afterwards.
Definitely Not Dingse! Thats not really Hayley's fault though. Bottom line, when you get into the industry, nobody cares about who started what. Labels only care about what is going to make them money. There is not a rock band out that doesn't have a front person. Its much easier to sell a band when they have a 'face'. The same thing would have happened had it been any other band. Blaming Hayley is just not gonna cut it. The industry worked against Farro keeping the band in his control. If the founder had kept control of it, its quite possible the band would still be playing gigs in Nashville. Thats the gamble you take when you decide to sign a deal and sell your dream to a label. Do you want to stay at this level and keep your band as is, or do you want to push your music to the world with a bit less control? What baffles me is that they still all shared creative direction of the band - so they say - but this breakup still happened. So was it about creative freedoms or pride?
Definitely Not Dingse! No, the Beatles didn't have a frontman, but they were a rare exception. They essentially had four lead singers, where most bands only have one or two. Also, the Beatles were (and still are) commercial. They didn't start out caring about artistic integrity or anything of the sort. In fact, the main reason they could turn on a more artistic, experimental bent is because their early success basically bought them that freedom. Not every band/singer has that luxury.
the REAL problem is that josh & hayley should never have dated and broke up. that's the only problem. the things josh listed in his blog seemed like irrelevant reasons that weren't that big of a deal. he just wanted to give excuses to the fans because he really seemed unsure of his real reasons for his departure. if it was such a bad thing from the beginning, why would he say all those great stuff about the band during interviews? he couldn't possibly lie about all that. he was happy. unfortunately it stopped right after they(josh & hayley) broke up in 2008. since then he just looked like he didn't want to be around hayley anymore. hence, why he brought up hayley 99% in his blog. this is the price they get for dating a band member. (i know I'm late btw)
Everybody that's saying it turned into to the Hailey Williams show. It's always been that way. Especially since she is a front woman and the rest of the members are male. And Singers always get more attention then the other members it isn't they're fault that she gets more recognition. I do agree however that the other members are just as important. But it has always been about Hailey.
Samantha Del Cid That's marketing for you. When it comes to rock music, it really helps to sell "different". No one wants to be just another "Sum 41 clone" or "Green Day wannabe". Whether you love or hate Hayley, you have to admit she's what sets them apart. And that didn't change when they became massively popular, because why fix it if ain't broken?
Dont get me wrong, i love the farro brothers, and i dont dissed them but i believe hayley, isn't it obvious that she picked to be in a band, she had a choice and she clearly picked to be in paramore. Shes never full of herself, she looks humble as ever. I dont know her personally but ive been a fan for a long time. Still love paramore. And im glad that they are still sharing their talents!
When Hayley said "we'll do it right this time", It so reminded me of the song miracle!! In which she says "We'll get it right this time." LEEERVE THAT SONG
She talks a lot about the future, Its obvious here that there album is made up of what they had to do to move on. This is why there music is great. Though they have gone through a lot they make amazing and emotional music from it.
Awesome interview. I have been a Paramore fan since late 2006, and I have never felt once that it was all about Hayley. I loved each and every member of this band; and I never felt Hayley made it only about her. This band makes great music; and they all seem like very down to earth people. This interview is only a few weeks after the Farro statement so it's normal they were feeling down... but, they still handled it very professionally. I respect that.
In all honesty, I don't think Hayley got as much stick in that blog as people think she did. A lot of the 'attacks' as it were, were for the label promoting it as Hayley's band and using the rest of the band for her gain. What criticism Hayley got was that they seemed to grow more and more distant and they had a few disagreements as a result of that
I like how she referenced "Now" with all her talk about looking forward to the future and how it can't be taken away from them. Good interview, but you can tell they tried very hard (and succeeded) at not talking negatively about the Farros.
i took it pretty hard at first. it didnt feel like them but they really did prove us wrong. they're so much more amazing now and they are genuinely great people who love to contribute to music. they love what they do and it's obvious. some of you guys are just focusing on the past too much that you don't see what's true. get to know the band before you talk shit.
I felt the same way, but I figured, "Whatever, what's happened is in the past now and there's no point dwelling on it. Let's see what they've got! As long as it's catchy and memorable, I don't care!" And I really loved the new album much more than their previous works, not that they were bad of course! It's just so much more fun and upbeat, yet maturer. Sadly, being stuck in the past is the problem with quite a portion of the fanbases these days, and not just some of Paramore's; similar other examples are the Sonic, Mario fanbases (different media entirely, I know, but their fanbases are just as obnoxious, if not more so). All three are so divided, in this case between the new reformed Paramore and the nostalgia of the Farros era, that those longing for the latter are just stuck in the past most of the time, preferring the older stuff, forgetting the fact that doing the same thing over and over again just gets tiring, boring, stale and frankly long in the tooth. Especially as it would've been about eight years running, of doing the same thing if the fourth album sounded the same again.
I do believe that early on Hayley probably made the band about her. It's important to remember she had a somewhat pushy parent and a persistent manager at the time, something she has said before. However, I don't think you can 100% blame her because she was just a kid. I think she signed a solo deal because that was the deal presented in front of her and then used that to leverage her dream of having the band. Along the way she may of let the excitement and the big recording company get to her head but I really think that the Riot/Brand New Eyes days show her pushing the whole band in the spotlight. I also thinks it's important to know that with any label they put the main singing up front no matter what because that's just how the business is. However, of all the bands I know and love, this was maybe the first band where I knew all the band members names without looking them up. That's something
The fact of the matter is that people miss what once was so it's obvious that a lot of people will choose to take the frustration out on Haley as she was the one blamed by the Farro brothers as well as the lead and the one with the name on the contract. When people say hurtful things a lot of the time they forget that these celebrities are actual people and their problems shouldn't be something that you should hate any of them for. If they left they had their reasons and honestly the band feels more lively and happy and energetic with them gone. When they were here you could feel the tension and I hated it. I think we could all tell they were unhappy and we are all happy to see them smiling again. We love Paramore and a lot of people didn't. They loved Hayley, Josh, Zac, Taylor, and Jeremy. And when two of them left they no longer liked the fact that the songs and their music style changed because they don't like change. The point is: If someone left the fandom then they are no longer fans of Paramore and if they spew hate then just simply ignore them because half the time they don't realize that if two of the band members are still here it means that they actually like it so Hayley isn't the tyrant that they think. They also really defend her and the fact that it isn't just "Haley's dream". The people also don't understand that the reason she gets more money is that she has solo projects on the side not because she decides to take the bigger cut from the band. She has also earned more because Jeremy left the band for a while and Taylor wasn't there from the beginning. It's the fact of life that the lead singer a lot of the times is the one most known by everyone because they are up front all the time and they get interviewed the most but that does not mean that she is full of herself because it's not. Stay strong Parafans and please try and not let other people get to our heads.
Yea they Deffinetely where an awesome band together and there music could of gone to great heights but I'm sure josh had his reasons on leaving which is what I respect of that man he took initiative and stuck to what's right for him wether it saddens us paramore fans or not, non of us know their personal lives and what was really going on to judge them both so quickly, we are fans and they try their hardest to please us and bite their side of the biscuit but truth be told I just wish the best for both of them regardless of how much I loved the old paramore, let's just forget it and move on, love you josh and Hayley wish you both the best in life :)
Pedro Centeno you dont get it when i said that ''better appearence'' and ''publicity''. i making you understand that paramore has actually changed alot since their department that they dont look like a bunch of punks anymore. and that they dont need the farro bros. to make music. because they learned to stand up and know that life goes on, and make music without them. it's how a band becomes greater at what they do.
Very hear-felt interview. I know they aren't BSing this stuff, just to get people to buy their music and come to their shows. I've always loved their music, but now I love them too, and have a new, proud and very strong respect for them. See you guys in Seattle, October 15th!!! Love Paramore!!!
seeing them sad is so heartbreaking. I'm gonna be honest, I was really sad and shocked about josh and zac leaving the band, but now, I think it was the best thing for hayley, jeremy and taylor to happen. they found themselves again and they learned to move on in live. their friendship became more family-like, I think. they've recorded an amazing album, and play sold out arenas and all this stuff. they're happy now and they really deserve it! I'll always be a fan of them and I look up to them.
Hayley tries not to let it show, but she's very bitter towards the Farros. Just listen to Moving On, on the the new album. I hope deep down they still love each other.
She's cool with Zac as for Josh. i heard Josh has tried to reach out to them but they are not on speaking terms right now. Hayley cosigned Zac's HalfNoise band and their song Mountain.
IcebergKold ,it's good to know that they're trying,in spite of the resentment between both sides, because at least it seems that they might become friends gain,eventually...I don't care if Paramore lost a good drummer and a good guitarist, all I care is that Hayley,Jeremy and Taylor lost their closest and best friends, and the same goes for the Farros,so I hope for them to mend up eventually...
she said that herself that she felt stuff and would really love to just let her emotions run wild and get back at them but she said that she knows that that would be very immature and would put the fans in a very uncomfortable place and all that. she said that she isnt perfect so she feels bitterness and resentment and all that nasty emotions but is choosing not to let those emotions take control over her like josh did
This Josh seems to be bitter about the relationship with Hayley, also the fact that she was in the focus as all leadsingers in history always is. Just look at No doubts video Don't speak, it really shows how often this happen. He was band member to great band that actually have made it. Instead to be grateful and happy, reek the fruits, he becomes this vindictive person that absolutely destroys his friendships. His statement says more about him being a ego than Hayley. He couldn't handle the fact that she was in the front and couldn't just settle to be a supporting role, in the truth he wanted to be the lead. But Hayley should never step down, minimize or back away cuz of someones ego. She would be big even without Paramore. She was born to be great, yet she seems to be a person that need support, she doesn't want to stand alone and shine, she wants to shine in a band. So it could be all about Hayley, but is it?

It is still so difficult to watchit, even after such a long time. But I am supporting Paramore for 6 years and I will never stop.
Taylor seems more alive here. I watched the last few interviews the band has done recently and he seems depressed, like if he's going thru metal issues
Maybe he's more honest about the anxiety he gets doing things like this? Or the pressure of dating one of the most beautiful women in the world? Or maybe he's now being his true introverted self?
I have always loved paramore whether the farro brothers were in it or not, paramore is still paramore, yes I agree with most that their older music was better (such as emergency and misery buisiness) but their new stuff is equally as good because it shows them evolving as a band and also the songs still have meanings to them and lyrics you can relate to. In my eyes people who dont still like them now because of whats happened are not true fans but I grew up listening to this and I could relate very easily to their music so its always been a part of my life. I dont want to start any arguments or whatever this is just my opinion and I do NOT think that I am right whatsoever because everyone has different views on whats gone on.
I feel like Josh was telling the truth. People forget they were young when they started and they didn't know the music business like that. Hell I would be pretty pissed too if I wrote majority of the songs and the singer was the only one signed but not us. Also if you notice Hayley would take photos for magazines and it would be just her and not the full band. I know the Jeremy thing was true since Hayley talked about Jeremy quitting at one point. All in all Josh said exactly how he felt and he should not be ridiculed for feeling how he felt. I don't know if its true or not but in this interview they didn't really acknowledged any of it. Almost like they danced around the topic. i think Josh and Hayley relationship had something to do with it. Maybe Hayley making songs about Josh "Ignorance, Playing God" created tension within the group. To be honest Paramore now is pretty much Hayley Williams I'm not saying Hayley did that I think management did that. Jeremy and Taylor are just background people and I think that's what Josh was saying. I kind of wish someone would interview Josh Farro about his blog. Zac was probably like "Hmmmm I want start my own thing." lolol
actually i have always known about paramore's existence and some weeks ago when i really payed attention to the video of the song still into you i noticed that actually the band members were also shown in the video more than band members are usually shown in other band , the video gave me the feel that the band was actually trying to get portrayed as a band but its simply kinda silly to be showing the guitarist's face when the vocals of the singer runs in the background constantly.
Lead singers, regardless of the band, are the most popular and usually most successful members of a band. A voice is more easily recognizable than a guitar, or drums. Also, Hayley is female, which in the time they started, they're weren't very many popular female fronted bands, putting her on magazines, getting her own cosmetics line, and being featured in other artists' songs.
It's been such a long time and it's still so sad for me to watch this interview, even though what the farro brothers (mostly Josh) did and said after leaving the band, I think I'll always miss them, it's like a wound that will never heal for us the fans
Personally, I think that the Farro brothers were immature in their reasons for leaving. So what if Hailey is the one signed to the contract. Given all of their ages at the time, it probably would have taken them longer to get to where they are now if she had not been. How dare she turn her back on a solo career and invite her FRIENDS to go on the road with her as a band instead. Yeah, so much worse to be making money and having fun doing what you love than sticking to your misguided principles.
@@herbertherbert5655 its going to be hilarious when shes locked into that contract and hits middle age and nobody wants to listen to her anymore because shes old and bitter and childless. i think thats probably part of the reason she renounced christ and went full blown SJW - her former fanbase of horny young punk rock guys are losing interest and she needs to fill in the gaps with a "new" fanbase. she is SO cringe lately that i have been thinking about creating an OP on kiwifarms for her.
So weird to watch it now. I hate that it was portrayed like Zac was on the same page as Josh, that wasn't true at all. They went through so much shit like being basically kids and growin up when the whole world is watching you & judging your every move must be so tough. You know we all change all the time but esp. at this point of life teenage/young adulthood but to have to constantly explain everything to the media who just wants a story to write about, ughh. Fourtunately, now they are at their best and I love it for them
I feel like you guys want to find a reason to hate Hayley. You see what you search for. Not really being a fan of one side over the other...I honestly think that Hayley isn't being "self-centered." She's the one signed, but that's because it was the only way to create the band. They all clearly are trying to not really argue but just clear the air. Yes, Hayley is the most popular, but that's because she's the lead singer...what band has a lead singer that isn't really the most well-known? It wasn't like Maroon 5 where it's literally all about Adam Levine...You can tell they still try to showcase every band member & that ALL of them are still humble. You can tell when someone is being stuck up, Hayley definitely isn't.
Hayley: "I'm happy UP HERE, there is nothing to be sad about." Interviewer: "If we were somehow to go to the Atlantic's offices, and pull out the contract. whose name is on the contract?" Hayley: "You would see MY NAME, the reason for that is that I was offered one...but it just sucks so bad that fans have to focus ON THAT." Me: "...um yeah"
You're welcome i appreciate the kind comments thank you lol :P. Same here dude I will always follow what zac and josh are doing elsewhere i love what they did in paramore they are amazing musicians and amazing people. Hopefully paramore can reunite one day doubt its gonna happen though :P
I'm sure communication is what made the band fall apart, communication is key to any healthy relationship, don't be delusional you can't expect to stay the same the more successful you get. I'm sure Hayley noticed that she got the attention and the star so she did make a couple decisions without the band. I'm sure anyone would be like "what the hell this is a band" Taylor and Jeremy seem to have Hayley's back. I'm sure it's because they rather be financially successful than take a stand on their opinion and be out of a successful band.
Am I the only one who don't care that the Farro's did leave Paramore? Josh didn't seem to like the gigs and he did always look sad. And look at Paramore now? They look happy and they seem to enjoy what they are doing. And I don't listen to the Farro's own work but I think they are happy with it. So why complaining? The first three albums are awesome but the Self-Titled albums are awesome to. It's still Paramore guys. And that will always be there.
In the first place Paramore wouldn't be Paramore without the Farros, they would not have come this far without them, each member of the band IS/ WAS important so take note
+Julian Gray Media you're right two founding members are still a part of the band. they started out young, of course some of them are going to leave. Paramore is not Hayley. Again, like Jeremy said, it's just a name on a contract. And anything gained from that contract has all been in the name of Paramore. Taylor is more than just a wingman.
To me,"Interlude: Moving On" is about the public opinion, that since their breakout in 2007,don't leave them alone, sometimes spreading rumors about their personal lives, and specially saying that Paramore's music has never been and will never be true rock'n'roll; to me,"Moving On" is about Paramore realizing that they will never be as respected by the media as The Black Keys or Jack White, and it's ok,because their fans love them,so who cares about what some arrogant musical critic from a magazine will say...And "Interlude: I'm Not Angry Anymore" seems more appropriate to the Farros situation... But this is all debateble...
I agree that it's not the same Paramore without the Farro brothers. Every member of any band contributes to the sound and feel of the music, and the Farro brothers, Josh in particular, did play a big part in Paramore's sound. However like I said, the lead singer and frontman will always be more famous, and the other members just have to accept that. The brothers couldn't, so they left. And yep, I agree, I'm happy that Paramore is carrying on, even if it's without 2 key members.
Well Josh still said that he left the band cause it was all about Heyley so. And i was kinda listening to the band cause of the brothers and like i knew it'll happend Paramore will turn to pop. And now they are a pop band.
and it's hayley's fault cause she got the attention? The media always go for the female members cause they're easy to talk about, what they're wearing, who they dating etc, especially seeing as Hayley is the front person, and plus, a band doesn't have to appease fans with what they want cause thats just trying to be fake and not trying to write music they want. Is it honest of them that they have made the music that they have made, yes, cause it's the music that they wanna make, and if people can't accept that then thats cool, you have you're opinions and thats cool, but trying to say that a band should make this and that sort of music, thats wrong, you support a band cause of what they do and the decisions they make, not cause you feel you have control of the band and they should listen to you and do what you tell them to do, thats not what music is all about
The biggest problem? The music industry. It's a dark place. They wanted to make hayley the new britney spears or some shit like that. It's all about money and branding. I do believe Josh's side of the story. Tis whole band is about Hayley. And i'm not saying it's Hayley's fault. It's the people around them: record labels, producers, pr managers, the media. They all made this about her but HAYLEY wanted the band. Paramore is a band, she keeps saying, but the people around them focused more on Hayley. Think about that. The music industry is a fkd up world to live in.
I have always loved paramore and I am sad they aren't still together. Their last time I saw them as a band was 2 Christmases ago when they performed. And I just met some1 my age that likes paramore!
I do hope that someday, maybe in a year from now, or five, or ten years, they all make peace with each other. I'm not saying that I hope Zac and Josh rejoin the band but I hope they can all be friends again someday.
"Well, I could be angry, but you're not worth the fight And besides I'm moving on I've counted to ten and now I'm feeling alright And besides I'm moving on"
This reminds me of No Doubt's drama early in their career. Josh and Zac will regret their decision. You should exhaust every possible option before quitting a successful band signed by a major label imo. There must be more to this story.
hopefully there will be a PARAMORE REUNION!!! i mean, the full band, the usual band... imiss u guys!!! please perform here in the philippines when u're together again... ;(
Why can't Paramore fans be more like Panic! At The Disco fans! Brendon basically wrote the Death of a Bachelor Album by himself and is the only remaining 'original' member on the band and we still love Brendon Urie and Panic! At The Disco! Paramore 'fans' are so stubborn and only look at the story from one side jeez. And the Farro brothers said they didn't want to make this a big deal... Chill out guys, just prey there's a time machine someday so I can go back in time and see My Chemical Romance Live one more time.
agreed. I just feel they are so different now and that's bound to happen. It just doesn't feel like the same "paramore" not horrible just its just hard to get used too :/
After reading Josh & Zac's post I couldn't be happier that Josh left. Idk anything about why Zac left. It was all from Josh's point of view from what I gathered, & I agree religion got in the way & he got all weird. Paramore did NOT need this at all. I am so gad they handled it in the most mature way possible. I hope Josh learns from this. Good luck. You are my heroes & I am stoked for the new album. Love you! Thanks for clearing this up. It's much appreciated by all of your fans. xoxox
i totally agree with your point, i think (just my opinion), that this happens to bands when they get successful. the frontman gets the attention so it seems that the band is being centered on him/her, and given their history, i think everything was just built up and finally the farros exploded, being in a band myself, i think every members should accept that it is inevitable for the frontman to get almost all the attention
If you miss the farro brothers so much go cry to yourself and shut up cause it was their choice its not like they were kicked out and paramore is finished because its not finished. The current band memebers are enjoying paramore now they are happier and they don't need old fans going we love the farro brothers because if u haven't realised they are gone so get over it and either love paramore and support them or keep the hatred to yourself
They were so mature in the interview. Specially Hayley who was in the spot the whole time for whatever those guys ex members if the band said. She faced this conversation with the most mature attitude possible;)
Looking back on this is just really sad and wish it had not happened like this. I personally think the Farros and Hayley did nothing wrong, but said a lot about what the Music industry and it's managers can do. This is because we never will know the full story of what happened.
Regardless of how they see themselves as a band she sees them as a band, the studio is always going to bank on who they feel is the draw, and rightfully so. If back when they were together there was a show and they said Hayley wasn't going to be there performing but the rest of the band was... I wouldn't go. And easily bet the vast majority of the fans wouldn't go and want a refund. Now if Hayley was going to be there, and rest of the band wasn't, again I'd easily bet the vast majority of the fans would still show up. She's the draw, and the studio knows that and that is why they focused on her. They together can feel they are a band all they want, the studio knows who is really getting them to sell albums and tickets. So blaming Hayley for that is really pretty ridiculous. Especially given how old she was when all this was going down.
im a fan of paramore. In my opinion, paramore with the the farros, better period. They were a rock band, but now...ahm more like pop. I still like paramore but not as much as before.
This is the most expensive TH-cam video I've ever watched. It's just cost me at least $100, cos I'll be going to see Paramore for the first time ever. I was unsure over the years if I wanted to cos of all the "It's all about Hayley" BS and "Manufactured band" BS, It made me feel like they probably don't really care about their fans that much. For the first time I took the time to listen to the band speak for themselves, and you can tell just how serious and genuine they are.....................
it seems to me that Taylor speaks less cause he doesnt want to bitch about his friends, Hayley and Jeremy seem a bit more concerned about maintaining their image and playing the victim
It's just so rare for a band to stay together from start to finish with all it's members intact, especially when they're around for years and years. Seems like very few can do it. Makes me appreciate even more some of the bands I like that have been able to do it. Linkin Park would be one that comes to mind.
People need to realize that Zac didn't leave because of Josh or because of Hayley, he started becoming homesick cause he was always on tour and he missed the comforts of his home
I just lost 20 braincells thanks to you
what?
BVBarmy4life i lost 100 brain cells due to your you tube name
Greig Robertson yeah it's upsetting in a way but fair enough to him he was touring with paramore since he was 14!!
You're wrong, dumbass. If he said that he's lying to himself.

watching this in 2020 with Zac back, After Laughter, and Petals for Armor coming in May feels so strange. i love how much they've grown. 💚
I know. And without Jeremy, and apparently happier than ever.
Now This is Why
When Taylor says 'he' instead of 'them' 😔...he knows it's mostly josh.. ( around 23 mins). I love that Taylor and zac are still friends😌
Jeremy said "he" too. Also, I believe Zac had no say in the blog.
Zac's back
Yeah, Josh totally took Zac down with him. It’s crazy that even tho Zac is the little brother of the band is the more mature Farro.
I love him! He’s better than Josh imo
Love Paramore, and think the Farro's were a big part of it, but I side with the remaining members.
Well put. The other band members are very important but Hayley will always stand out
@@NSPLG fr. plus the rest are just dudes.. like ig they’re “important” but still replaceable, maybe a lil hard to replace, or some may feel it would be wrong to replace everyone but hayley but the fact of the matter is is that according to the record labels “paramore” is HER.. the way i see it is its not a big deal to me who makes up the rest of the band as long as her perfect self is still part of it. hayley is so perfect in every way imaginable, that she is probably the only girl in the world i would honestly be fine with bottling her juices/essense into a glass syrup bottle to eat with pancakes + have seconds every day.. just thinking about others girls esssense (whether they be real life crushes or celeb crushes) on my pancakes makes me almost feel gaggy, and almost get sick, but i gues i am just down bad for hayley.. like shes made me sick for her. 😭🫤

36:41 Jeremy "next week I'm like listen guys I'm out" he knew it would happen.
2017 Jeremy is gone and zac is back wow
watching this after knowing Jeremy left...Damn
So was it about creative freedoms or pride?
gthomas2785 See, that's why, nowadays music is commercialized shit... Look at Beatles... Did they have a frontman?
Definitely Not Dingse! No, the Beatles didn't have a frontman, but they were a rare exception. They essentially had four lead singers, where most bands only have one or two. Also, the Beatles were (and still are) commercial. They didn't start out caring about artistic integrity or anything of the sort. In fact, the main reason they could turn on a more artistic, experimental bent is because their early success basically bought them that freedom. Not every band/singer has that luxury.
findtheeyes Yeah, that's whatI'm talking about.
They handled this so well. So much respect to Paramore and I still have respect for Josh and Zac
the REAL problem is that josh & hayley should never have dated and broke up. that's the only problem. the things josh listed in his blog seemed like irrelevant reasons that weren't that big of a deal. he just wanted to give excuses to the fans because he really seemed unsure of his real reasons for his departure. if it was such a bad thing from the beginning, why would he say all those great stuff about the band during interviews? he couldn't possibly lie about all that. he was happy. unfortunately it stopped right after they(josh & hayley) broke up in 2008. since then he just looked like he didn't want to be around hayley anymore. hence, why he brought up hayley 99% in his blog. this is the price they get for dating a band member.
(i know I'm late btw)

Glad paramore is doing way better now, and zac is back 🌚👌
Everybody that's saying it turned into to the Hailey Williams show.
I feel like the truth like always lies somewhere in the middle because no one sees themselves as the Villian in their own story
I'm so happy when i heard that paramore isn't disbanding
they're still 3 in there .. just keep it up ! \m/
I just love how much inspiration they give us fans. Love being apart of the parafamily
They handled this interview so well.
Neither do you even know the band personally that you talk like you even know them?
The Ferros are like the Walter Whites of Gray Matter Technologies
You sir, deserve a million likes.
lol
F'taal Li ah yeah I get what you're saying
Yea they Deffinetely where an awesome band together and there music could of gone to great heights but I'm sure josh had his reasons on leaving which is what I respect of that man he took initiative and stuck to what's right for him wether it saddens us paramore fans or not, non of us know their personal lives and what was really going on to judge them both so quickly, we are fans and they try their hardest to please us and bite their side of the biscuit but truth be told I just wish the best for both of them regardless of how much I loved the old paramore, let's just forget it and move on, love you josh and Hayley wish you both the best in life :)
i honestly think that paramore has gotten better after the farro bros. left. they have more publicity, better music, and a better appearence.
and they are happier
exactly! thank you (youtuber)
I wouldn't say "better" but different. Good different but by no means "better". I still enjoy them and the music they make though.
better publicity and better appearance should not be something that makes a band better...music is alright right now...nothing out of this world.
So glad I got to see them 3 times with the Farro brothers before they left:)
IcebergKold ,it's good to know that they're trying,in spite of the resentment between both sides, because at least it seems that they might become friends gain,eventually...I don't care if Paramore lost a good drummer and a good guitarist, all I care is that Hayley,Jeremy and Taylor lost their closest and best friends, and the same goes for the Farros,so I hope for them to mend up eventually...
she said that herself that she felt stuff and would really love to just let her emotions run wild and get back at them but she said that she knows that that would be very immature and would put the fans in a very uncomfortable place and all that. she said that she isnt perfect so she feels bitterness and resentment and all that nasty emotions but is choosing not to let those emotions take control over her like josh did
what a great interviewer
Or maybe he's now being his true introverted self?
there is nothing left anymore of this band they used to be really good, they really rocked I prefer the old band, even so I do listen to paramore,
I have always loved paramore whether the farro brothers were in it or not, paramore is still paramore, yes I agree with most that their older music was better (such as emergency and misery buisiness) but their new stuff is equally as good because it shows them evolving as a band and also the songs still have meanings to them and lyrics you can relate to.
Paramore is still a band, and they just got their first #1 album - so I'd say they are better than ever.
But everyone besides hayley are replaceable!!
Josh co-wrote Ignorance and Playing God tho
It's been such a long time and it's still so sad for me to watch this interview, even though what the farro brothers (mostly Josh) did and said after leaving the band, I think I'll always miss them, it's like a wound that will never heal for us the fans
Forget all this drama. Everyone who wants to listen to very good music, go and check Josh Farro solo album. It´s awesome!!!!!!
I wish him all the bast but I don't like his album
And btw this has been years ago. And paramore made it! They still got it! I loved them i love them and i will love them!
Yeah, so much worse to be making money and having fun doing what you love than sticking to your misguided principles.
it's nice to find a band that has so much gratitude towards there fans like paramore i love these guys so much
Jeremy was labeled "just an employee" and Hayley remains, still, the only one signed.
@@mf8080 is there a source about that contract? I can't find anything, except for some posts on reddit, that she has to make 8 solo albums.
@@herbertherbert5655 its going to be hilarious when shes locked into that contract and hits middle age and nobody wants to listen to her anymore because shes old and bitter and childless. i think thats probably part of the reason she renounced christ and went full blown SJW - her former fanbase of horny young punk rock guys are losing interest and she needs to fill in the gaps with a "new" fanbase. she is SO cringe lately that i have been thinking about creating an OP on kiwifarms for her.
they handled this interview so well!
I don't believe this band was manufactured by the industry. But it has become 100% a product!
Fall Out Boy... Everybody and their mother are always focused on Pete Wentz even though he's not the lead singer
That's because Pete was the "hot one" in the group...
Hayley: "I'm happy UP HERE, there is nothing to be sad about."
Interviewer: "If we were somehow to go to the Atlantic's offices, and pull out the contract. whose name is on the contract?"
Hayley: "You would see MY NAME, the reason for that is that I was offered one...but it just sucks so bad that fans have to focus ON THAT."
Me: "...um yeah"
+PLeilani BML THANK YOU
i feel like when the farro brothers (mostly josh) left, jermey & taylor got to shine more.
I'm sure it's because they rather be financially successful than take a stand on their opinion and be out of a successful band.
paramore still good right now. but with farros paramore become the best.
cant replace those 2 members. seriously
+hansvink15 Except they suck now. lol
In the first place Paramore wouldn't be Paramore without the Farros, they would not have come this far without them, each member of the band IS/ WAS important so take note
+ariana cuenca they're still good... but that's my opinion. it's paramore as long as they still keep paramore
theres two of the 6 left. its not paramore anymore, its hayley and a wingman
+Julian Gray Media you're right two founding members are still a part of the band. they started out young, of course some of them are going to leave. Paramore is not Hayley. Again, like Jeremy said, it's just a name on a contract. And anything gained from that contract has all been in the name of Paramore. Taylor is more than just a wingman.
it's 2014 and I'm still watching this. Wanna know how they felt about this, just listen to their new song called moving on
To me,"Interlude: Moving On" is about the public opinion, that since their breakout in 2007,don't leave them alone, sometimes spreading rumors about their personal lives, and specially saying that Paramore's music has never been and will never be true rock'n'roll; to me,"Moving On" is about Paramore realizing that they will never be as respected by the media as The Black Keys or Jack White, and it's ok,because their fans love them,so who cares about what some arrogant musical critic from a magazine will say...And "Interlude: I'm Not Angry Anymore" seems more appropriate to the Farros situation... But this is all debateble...
You can always hate josh but never zac. He's too nice.
I love you guys so much because you inspire me because i always feel depressed and lonely
hayley looks SO cute in this interview !
Shut up. Were serious here.
Is it honest of them that they have made the music that they have made, yes, cause it's the music that they wanna make, and if people can't accept that then thats cool, you have you're opinions and thats cool, but trying to say that a band should make this and that sort of music, thats wrong, you support a band cause of what they do and the decisions they make, not cause you feel you have control of the band and they should listen to you and do what you tell them to do, thats not what music is all about
Greig Robertson Honestly i will not read your comment cause it's so long. :3
honestly...okay
how are they pop, moron
Gareth gman
Lmao have you even listened to their new album? It is pop.
Them Jeremy left there was something to all of this but we are all blinded
The biggest problem? The music industry. It's a dark place. They wanted to make hayley the new britney spears or some shit like that. It's all about money and branding. I do believe Josh's side of the story. Tis whole band is about Hayley. And i'm not saying it's Hayley's fault. It's the people around them: record labels, producers, pr managers, the media. They all made this about her but HAYLEY wanted the band. Paramore is a band, she keeps saying, but the people around them focused more on Hayley. Think about that. The music industry is a fkd up world to live in.
Yup the initial plans was to make her a popstar more like the next Avril Lavigne.
But she refused and wanted to be in a band.
heres a great idea for a shirt - how about they make one that says "HAYLEY WILLIAMS IS A YOKO ONO"
I have always loved paramore and I am sad they aren't still together. Their last time I saw them as a band was 2 Christmases ago when they performed. And I just met some1 my age that likes paramore!
In 2020 i'm still sad about the whole Paramore and old Paramore
When they're back again😢
I do hope that someday, maybe in a year from now, or five, or ten years, they all make peace with each other. I'm not saying that I hope Zac and Josh rejoin the band but I hope they can all be friends again someday.
I'm sooooo glad they addressed the verse in"careful" i deleted Tht song from my fone because of my relationship with God.
"Well, I could be angry, but you're not worth the fight
And besides I'm moving on
I've counted to ten and now I'm feeling alright
And besides I'm moving on"
This reminds me of No Doubt's drama early in their career.
Josh and Zac will regret their decision. You should exhaust every possible option before quitting a successful band signed by a major label imo.
There must be more to this story.
***** Because it's easier to fix a successful band than start a new one. Most people who leave successful bands regret it later.
+MyworstEnemy There is more to life than money dude. LOL
Well, I’m not sure about Josh, but Zac changed enough to rejoin Paramore!
hopefully there will be a PARAMORE REUNION!!! i mean, the full band, the usual band... imiss u guys!!!
please perform here in the philippines when u're together again... ;(
Why can't Paramore fans be more like Panic!
It just doesn't feel like the same "paramore" not horrible just its just hard to get used too :/
Jeremy's leg fell asleep lmao xD
After reading Josh & Zac's post I couldn't be happier that Josh left. Idk anything about why Zac left. It was all from Josh's point of view from what I gathered, & I agree religion got in the way & he got all weird. Paramore did NOT need this at all. I am so gad they handled it in the most mature way possible. I hope Josh learns from this. Good luck. You are my heroes & I am stoked for the new album. Love you! Thanks for clearing this up. It's much appreciated by all of your fans. xoxox
They are far better without josh he was ruining the band with his own ego, zac wanted to leave to start his own band on vocals instead of drums
i totally agree with your point, i think (just my opinion), that this happens to bands when they get successful. the frontman gets the attention so it seems that the band is being centered on him/her, and given their history, i think everything was just built up and finally the farros exploded, being in a band myself, i think every members should accept that it is inevitable for the frontman to get almost all the attention
I love how at the end of the interview, they basically predicted their future haha
I love watching this with subtitles. ^-D
"Merry Xmas... band is over" I laughed really loud at this and it felt kinda... weird
Looking back on this is just really sad and wish it had not happened like this. I personally think the Farros and Hayley did nothing wrong, but said a lot about what the Music industry and it's managers can do. This is because we never will know the full story of what happened.
guess who runs the music industry??? i'll give you a hint - they have very long noses.
God damn, its like an interrogation, apologetic one at that, but honest and thorough. Tough time
im a fan of paramore. In my opinion, paramore with the the farros, better period. They were a rock band, but now...ahm more like pop. I still like paramore but not as much as before.
Its not pop its Alternative/Alternative Rock
Katy perry is pop
I said more "Iike pop" i didn't said strickly pop
Oh man, I wasn't expecting to have wound reopened by a 9 year old comment
