Yeh those gas mask are awesome .. depending on the filter you have they normally can handle radioactive gas.. I trained with them while i was in the Army
Love your projects Richard! You were the first to introduce me to no dig gardening and it’s been an amazing journey here in the USA to re-learn everything I just thought I knew :) you are a true educator! Blessings to you as you continue the permaculture lifestyle!
The new cook book looks amazing, really looking forward to grabbing a copy when it's completed. The smoked bacon was making my mouth water, looked so nice....
Tip for dark stains on wood. Make a saturated solution with oxalic acid and try small first by massage in drop with a cotton bud. Then if you se some result put on more and leave for 5-15 minutes to work. Rinse with water. Looking forward to the book! ( old furniture restorer)
Thanks for your update Richard. I noticed the three vacuum tubes on your computer desk showing 11.4 in what looks like a brick. Is that a unique clock(missing the last digit)? Thanks.
Wow, outstanding!!! Wish I could taste it all, especially that Thai sausage. Hoping to find that recipe in the cookbook! Mmmm... Love the gas mask too. Very useful piece of equipment in this instance.
Oh Richard I am so impressed - your smoking project and your book - life is good! The book looks fantastic and so many pages. It has of course been hard work and fun as well as you say. All the best to you and your family.
The quality the animals enjoy is very easy to underestimate that value (for most people separate from their food source) without experiencing their environment and seeing the animals behaviours. So not only is the final nutrition of the food and taste very important but the quality of life for the animals that provide food is so important. Those forest-raised pigs have had an excellent life-cycle and been an active part of their habitat; and that's worth a lot as well as the final taste! Wonderful. I think if small farms, given suitable location, can opt to cater, it might be a beneficial way to gain more value from their produce directly from customers while supporting the local economy and providing people with closer direct contact with their local farms? Good idea. The main thing I look for in a cookbooks, is practicality. The categories you mention sound well thought-out in that respect. The concept of doing a large scale single production eg broth for home-use is a good specific example already shown of that practical approach: Time, Energy, Scale, Planning, Convenience, Cost, Nutrition etc. Thank you for the video. It's fascinating learning how to do the basics in life to high quality.
Id love a longer documentary/training on all things fertility and waste. Like, can a regenerative farm compost human waste? We need public education and revision of waste management. Theres been scandal in the UK showed by Greenpeace because of public sludge being lathered on fields as fertilizer when it was tested to be highly toxic with bacteria like ecoli, disease, contaminants of all kinds, heavy metals, etc etc
Please consider a package deal for all three books!

Give Ragnar a thumbs up for his video work👍. And the sausage and bacon looks great!
Looks like a very comprehensive book. Looking forward to seeing it.
Going to build a similar smoker, but for cold indirect smoking.
Welcome back! I always like seeing your work. I don't do Instagram so never see those things. Great info about your cooking efforts.
So excited to watch this. I want my farm to give me the same quality of food and life! Thanks so much for what you do!

Kiełbasa pierwsza klasa, Panie. Kawał wędzonego boczku i kuricy lepszy od szynki i polędwicy. 😋👍👍👍

Great Richard, I cannot await diving into the cookbook!
I'll be in for the kickstarter! Very excited about this.
