Christina, I am so glad I found your channel! I was just telling my daughter TODAY, I need a hobby. I love my furniture but it needs updating in terms of color & hardware. I'm not willing to throw it out and replace with cheap furniture made in China. You have inspired me! I'm going to start small with a couple of White Clad oak night stands in our bedroom. Thank you, thank you for the inspiration!

Mine never has but I intend to start flipping so I want to be sure. Also, do you ever wax instead of varnishing? I find a wax gives a beautiful almost soft finish.😀

Nice table. Love the shape. Perfect in your living room. 😂 Was there a date of manufacturing? It looks like a 1969 maple dresser I have. I bought it $20 and we stripped, sanded and finished it. It was the same orange as your piece. I thought it was a stain for sure because it just didn’t seem natural. I couldn’t bare to stain it dark or paint it after all the work. Sealed it in Polyshades natural. It has ambered a little. But not as orange as it started out. I might just do this paint wash technique to tone it down some. Thanks!

Yes, you can use Dawn or any other grease cutting soap. This cleaner is TSP based so it gleans and it deglosses which is great for previously sealed surfaces.
