I don't know what the algorithm prefers, but your commentary and your gameplay are night and day. For commentary, you are easily in the top 3 if not just #1 for quality content. And for gameplay, you're in the bottom 3. The real value in gameplay footage comes from hearing the plays explained, not just seeing them happen. TLSG and Regis are phenomenal at this, for a couple of examples. So i listen to every commentary video you make and turn it off as soon as the gameplay starts. EDIT: To clarify, i think you should do post recording commentary over your gameplay (not just yeet it outright). But I also know that's a lot of editing, so I don't fault you for just not having enough hours in the day. I know you have podcast obligations (which is another content category for which you are also in the top 3). 🤜🤛🏽
The algonprefers what people watch. The algorithm doesn't know anything. It can't watch videos and determine whether to show them to someone. It actually doesn't "prefer" anything as much it it shows the shit people watch to other people.
It would honestly make more sense to have the entire video be a discussion while throwing in clips from games to visualize the point being made in each talking point instead of slapping it at the end.
I mean you do you man, but I think the long videos are your edge. The fact that you can talk at such length without sounding like a broken record on a new topic, every single day, is truly incredible. There aren't other creators that can do what you do, so I truly hope the long & in-depth content sticks around!

I travel alot (usually driving up to 1000 miles) for work so I enjoy having a long video to listen to. If anything I would say more commentary during the gameplay since I don’t get to watch the highlights.
Same here, I like the analysis to be as long as it needs, but I also bounce once the gameplay starts. Not that I'm not interested, but I treat this like a podcast to listen to when working/driving

I like the gameplay and I like that you don’t over explain lines or plays during your gameplay. It’s like how in movies the characters don’t have to say what they are doing, because we can in fact see what they are doing!
Pretty satisfying to see a recommended Move/Bounce list when it’s been a popular choice of mine for the last year. The recent buffs to move have really made it a fun deck.
I like the gameplay 100% of the times I'm interested in the deck because you show some playlines or insights that are game/mu specific. But now for example, I dont have Toxin so I just watch the first half, leave a like and leave ♡ Thanks for the uploads and consistency as usual!

I’ve been watching you for a couple years now. As someone who feels confident in the game, the last thing I need is a card by card breakdown. I skip them every time because I understand what Hood does in a deck, etc. The gameplay is what matters most to me. But the thing is, your commentary before games is the absolute best. But the quality of commentary during games is almost nonexistent. People want to watch one of the best players in the world talk about the game as they play it. But we only get to hear you be that person before the gameplay. I watch the gameplay all the way through every single time because it’s cool to watch you play the game. That’s where the most applicable information comes from. But every time I wish you were commenting like Jeff, TLSG, Regis, Cozy, etc. If you brought the caliber of analysis you do during the deck analysis to the gameplay, you would have the best content, hands down. Part of me gets it. When you’re playing, you’re thinking. You’re vibing. If you had to turn gameplay into a deep analytical discussion every time, that would probably be very draining. And not how you want to operate while on stream. Then what are your options? Record more games off stream? But streaming is where you make the most of your money. You should try a video where you just narrate over the games like you did with the Braude video. Except it’s your own games.
I am always going to be on the side of more content, I do think there is a KM-gap in the amount of communication that happens in the first 10m as compared to the gameplay that I wish was filled with more KM-yap
I HATE this spotlight cache so much. Ah, yes, let's put it in a cache with Zabu and Elsa. Two former season pass cards (so a lot of people own them) that have both been nerfed into unplayability. This has to be the worst spotlight in a LONG time.
The spotlights have been abysmal for months. Why are we getting cards like Zabu and Silk again when Sersi hasn't been in a cache since her release? It looks like Phastos is finally in a backup spotlight in January.

The card feels super busted. I have cracked the top 250 for the first time this season just playing a bog standard classic bounce list. I find even with a target on its back, the people trying to counter it have to get more lucky than I do in order to beat me. I haven't felt like I need to add Cosmo (yet), I can play around Killmonger and SK as the base list puts out so many threats and can hide power so well.
What did you cut from the bounce list to fit him in? I’ve been trying different stuff (no Sage, Falcon, Bishop, I even tried getting rid of Monkey/Mysterio) and they all feel good but I don’t know what the best version is.

Oh, and I've also swapped out Black Swan for Cass. I guess my list is half bounce, half AV mid range good stuff- which probably explains why I am not being bothered by the hard bounce counters.
He runs just fine in my deck it typically only bounces 3 cards with him. My power spread is insane though because I took advantage of having low cost cards and run Havok on turn 4. This helps stay below priority nerfing all turn 6 counters.

I "watch" my Snap content in the background well I work, game, browse social media, etc. so when the commentary part stops I move onto another video. If it is hurting your channel due to some YT algorithm stuff, maybe try something similar to what Jeff Hoogland does where he has Commentary Videos and Deck Highlight videos
I generally prefer longer videos, most videos I watch on youtube are at least 30 minutes long. That being said, I don't always watch the gameplay segment. What would make me watch it more is if the losses were included. Because for a deck I want to try out, I am mostly interested in seeing how it can lose, so I know what to be careful of (hard counters, positioning mistakes, etc.)
I dont find myself watching gameplay that much anymore from any creator because i like to learn decks on my own even if i steal them😂 that being said I never watched yours originally because it was nearly silent. It is much better with music but even then if i am gonna watch gameplay it would be really nice to hear you breakdown your less obvious plays!

I get a lot of value and enjoy hearing you go deep on the decks and the card choices in the decks and I would not cut that part short. You did ask for feedback though so I'll be honest, in the streamed gameplay you tend to let your emotions get to you and you come off as angry and tilted a lot of the time. I watch pretty much every video you put on YT, listen to every podcast, but I don't particularly love the gameplay footage or catch you streaming because of this. I just don't dig the vibe as much. I agree with another commenter that said your live commentary when you're playing isn't as good as your strengths (these deck breakdowns and podcasting), and I agree with that, but my larger issue with the live gameplay is the tone.

I find your commentary to be a masterclass as you grasp concepts on a deep level. However I personally don't care for the game highlights. It's a lot of silence and not a lot of explanations of the plays. For a masterclass in gameplay highlights I think LVD who plays MTG arena is the best there is. Just my input. Again love the videos but I bounce when gameplay starts personally.

Shorter is better. Your discussions on cards or deck builds are WAY more important than your gameplay because you're speaking on experience, not speculation. You honestly only need to show us like 5 to 7 matches after your discussion imo. If people wanna watch you play they can watch your stream. There's no point in doing massive editing on 2/3s of a video that's just gameplay. It's a waste of your time when you have your stream available to view. Personally, I'm here for your opinions, decks, reviews and breakdowns. 25 min max is a sweet spot. Over that is a bit excessive.

The problem for me, is my hand gets too big and I don’t draw into a +4 Iron Man etc. so it’s hard to decide which route to go.

Shorter is better. Your discussions on cards or deck builds are WAY more important than your gameplay because you're speaking on experience, not speculation. You honestly only need to show us like 5 to 7 matches after your discussion imo. If people wanna watch you play they can watch your stream. There's no point in doing massive editing on 2/3s of a video that's just gameplay. It's a waste of your time when you have your stream available to view. Personally, I'm here for your opinions, decks, reviews and breakdowns. 25 min max is a sweet spot. Over that is a bit excessive.
Some of us don’t like Twitch and want to watch on TH-cam. No gameplay on TH-cam would be a huge bummer.

The format for this video was fine since you were talking about more then one deck. However, please don’t drop the card by card breakdown when you are going over a single deck. If you do that, I think you lose your identity as a content creator.
