    Can you (with mavic 2 pro) take panoramic photos using HDR - AEB settings, or you can take just landscape format?

    • @edwardfigura
      @edwardfigura  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question. Unfortunately, in order to take panoramic photography, you must grant your Mavic 2 to complete the task completely autonomously. The downside of this is that it will use jpg format and takes only one single photo of each angle. This, in return, results in the end image not bring in HDR. HOWEVER, if you go in AEB settings (make sure you’re shooting in RAW) and you manually take one photo next to the other in order to create a panorama, you can then go in Lightroom, import all of those photos, and then select all of the photos and right click on one of the photos and select merge>panorama>merge. This will allow the software to stitch the panorama for you. I hope this helps.

    How did you decide on the white balance setting. I typically leave that at auto

    • @edwardfigura
      @edwardfigura  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Osprey, thanks for your question! Leaving it in auto works, however; the colour temperature of your image may change during your shoot if the sun shines out of the clouds. Therefore, I suggest choosing one colour profile. If it’s sunny outside, select sunny, and if it’s cloudy; select cloudy. OR, you can select “custom” and pick a colour temperature (kelvin) that better matches the image. The lower you go with the number, the colder the image looks. Let me know if this helps!

    Does M2 pro really use the whole 1 inch sensor?

    • @edwardfigura
      @edwardfigura  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a good question. It mostly depends how you set up your settings. For example, if you are doing photography and choose to take photos in 16:9 aspect ratio, you are not utilizing the entire potential of the sensor. Using 3:2 aspect ratio will allow you to use the entire sensor for photography-and because the Mavic cannot shoot VIDEO in 3:2 aspect ratio, to answer your question, no- it doesn’t use all of the sensor when shooting video, but it’s still the best and biggest sensor of the Mavic line! I hope that clarifies things :)

    • @nishitdronographer718
      @nishitdronographer718 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@edwardfigura Thanks for your valuable reply really appreciated. I Hope DJI come up with some software update to use the full potential as the Hardware is already capable of doing so I recently GOT MP2 combo with smart controller and i am unable to use Pix4d or any other 3rd party apps also i found the Mavic air 2 quality wise is very close to MP2 in Half the price should i regret my decision

    • @edwardfigura
      @edwardfigura  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nishitdronographer718 Mavic Air 2 is the closest Mavic competitor to the Mavic 2 Pro. The M2P however comes with a flat picture profile, DLOG M, which is ideal for filmmakers. It offers a higher dynamic range and more accurate color profiles when you're color correcting and grading in post-production. The air 2 is mostly for recreational users who don't capture content used for feature films etc, although it's photography has twice as many MegaPixels as the M2P, and has great dynamic range when shooting video, but it nonetheless lacks that professional, film look.
      In terms of Pix4d, you might have to use your phone for that, as it does work on iPhone for sure.
