Hey Tall, nice video. It looked like you were having a blast on the track. There's one aspect of the CVO RG ST that I have not seen you or your fellow moto vloggers mention. And I think it's important because there are a lot of complaints about this bike costing too much. Here it is. The bike comes from the factory with the 4-5/8" stroker crank, next generation SE heads, a new high lift cam (511), high flow intake, SE Street Cannons, SE clutch, SE cam plate and oil pump, and probably the new SE compensator sprocket. That means it's factory-ready to upgrade to a 135 with new pistons, jugs, and a tune. That makes this bike a smokin' hot deal.
Even with all those features I still can't fathom how it justifies that price tag. A whole car with a bigger engine, way more parts, an interior, a stereo, air conditioning, and twice the suspension components costs less than this bike. I mean I ride motorcycles but I still can't wrap my head around these motorcycle prices especially after working on bikes and knowing how little is actually there.
Price is crazy, I bought an 18 CVO Street Glide, it was over $40k out the door. Cost as much as my BMW M240i and you are correct, way less to a bike than a car. This bike is not much more than what I paid in 2018 and you get a lot more tech and performance components than what came on mine.
I'll never figure out the reason (and don't really need to figure it out) why people cry about the price of this motorcycle. It's your right to complain, certainly, but unless you have a true understanding of everything that goes into the development and design... well, whatever. My post will never change your mind. Comparing the Harley to a "whole car" isn't a valid comparison.
Great Video, Tall! I am not ready to pull the trigger on one of these just yet. I purchased a 2017 UL and lived through the oil pump issues. I want to see this bike about 3 to 4 years from now when everything has been sorted out. I really want to see what the Road Glide Limited looks like at that time, as I am leaning on transitioning from the Ultra Limited to the RGL. Harley has hit a HOME RUN on the styling and the new engine is really something to get excited about!!! I hope Harley is looking at a Monoshock set up for these bikes, that's really the last piece of improvement they should be focusing on in my opinion!
Harley Davidson just bought riding motorcycles to a new level and the future is full of possibilities. Touring plus Sport equals a huge aftermarket of parts and clothing. Soon we will see Harley Davison riders on full leather Dainese suits.Thank you for the effort to bring this information and share a cool day of thrilling fun.

Harley Davidson keep doing what you’re doing. I like it and a lot! Onward & upward. Brand competition and a racing program is good for product development and an exciting time to be motorcycling. Whatever you ride. Just ride! Blessings Tall.
Just thought there'd be a little more on the tech side of these bikes. I've watched videos from almost every youtuber on that bus that you named off. LOL ! I'll keep watching......
I traded in my 2022 128 built road glide on the 2024 117 std, the bike is full of torque but I’m waiting on the tuner and after market cam. She’s gonna be a monster.
Man, I’m lovin’ the new bikes! Of course, all the numbers and all the reviews are off the charts on this CVO ST. But, all the bikes they’ve updated are the talk of the town around here.
Tall they needed to get you an Extended Reach Seat for that bike…. Even though your upper body looks comfortable the legs looked cramped up. But at 6’6” or so my guess you have already know that. The CVO/ST looks great, only wish they would have kept the price inline with the 2023 Fast Johnnie pricing, it would have made it much more appealing.

No I’m not giving Harley what they want for them period. They are very nice though but I can’t justify paying 45-55k for a motorcycle it’s crazy. I’m getting a wreaked one from Copart and i’m rebuilding it for 6k 2023 cvo road glide mostly cosmetic damage and tires, rims saddlebags.
Since I have a 2022 SG, I'm not in the market and may never be. It will probably be my last new bike (OK, sure... lol) and I'm happy with the infotainment, power and handling at least for now. Still, good short look at the RG ST. It'd be pretty hard for me to justify the price tag but that's why we have different bikes!

Tall, I need to start a TH-cam 😁, so I can get an invite from Harley Davidson. I finally got a chance to see the 2024 CVO ST (white) at Pikes Peak HD and mannnnn I was seriously thinking about trading my 2016 RGS with 12k on it. But I'll never get rid of it. It's my first HD but when i finish paying off the F350 Dually next year.... I'm pulling the trigger I commend Harley Davidson for really turning up the heat! 🔥
Nice Video what I like about it the most was how cramp you look on the bike Being 6 3 myself it looks like I will need a lot of new parts to have the bike fit me so my question to you is do you know if you can order that bike for people that are bigger the jockey or i will have to wait for a couple years for after market parts being available thank you for you good work
When Robert asked everybody if they were gifted a bike which one would you choose you said Road Glide instead of the White CVO ST and I’m curious why you said that

Racetracks are to smooth to get a real feel for a bike. You can't tell what the suspension is like til you hit the streets and some good country backroads.
Put me on this bike against a rider weighing the same on the BMW on a 1/8 mile strip and I believe I can beat him. Let me tell you why. This Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST has some nice low end tourqe. The BMW has more power, but it's not making its power off the line like this V Twin Harley. It's a really quick bike. In the 1/4 mile the BMW would dust it, but in the 1/8 it would be a good race. Have you seen what the K 1600s do on the Dyno? It's about 130 HP 120 Tourqe.
@@TravelingTall I've put 75K on a couple K1600's, so I know what they do. I can't argue with you on the 1/8 mile run, its probably possible. My original comment was about being on the track. Although the HD engine may make good power, 121 cubes, but HD has never set the world on fire with their frame and swingarm rigitity and that is extremely important on a track, plus the BMW has far more lean angle clearence,...thats what my comment was about. I am sure you enjoyed your time on the new bikes, we all enjoy our toys. Have a great day!
Love the looks, will have to ride one. I own a K1600gtl and a KTM 1290 super adventure. They are both wonderful bike on opposite sides of the spectrum. The HD targets a different riding experience. I tend to enjoy them all. I just can't afford them all. LOL..

I mean I ride motorcycles but I still can't wrap my head around these motorcycle prices especially after working on bikes and knowing how little is actually there.
I agree with you sir. Especially when you consider the junk internals that comprise critical engine components.
Price is crazy, I bought an 18 CVO Street Glide, it was over $40k out the door. Cost as much as my BMW M240i and you are correct, way less to a bike than a car. This bike is not much more than what I paid in 2018 and you get a lot more tech and performance components than what came on mine.

Tal have a question by the front fender being short can you throw stones into the cooler and will more rain water onto ride
I don't know NoName, I only rode it on the track, but it didn't look like it would throw water up at you. I'm sure HD tested it on wet roads.
It doesn’t look very functional at all.

While this is out of reach for many of us, features usually trickle down from the CVO. Plus there is always the used market.
Is it different from the last time you was on the track
Yes, this track was flat, the other track was banked. This bike is a lot faster than the last ST
Dream machine

I was hoping you were going to say why you chose the 2024 Road Glide in detail
I didn't buy it. It was a track day, but I like the bike a lot.
When Robert asked everybody if they were gifted a bike which one would you choose you said Road Glide instead of the White CVO ST and I’m curious why you said that
Tall.. With the price they are asking, they should have thrown in the saddle bag guards and heated grips
I understand, but it's not that type of bike. It's built for SPEED. It has carbon fiber to keep the weight down.
Tall- would you ever consider doing a video comparing the CVO road glide to CVO road glide ST
