    I love the vantage. Iv got the 1st gen with a razor10 3000kv brushless setup and a 29t pinion. Goes like mad and is super fun. Parts are cheap with great availability. I'd say one of the best budget rc cars out there, and with all the metal and carbon upgrades that are available no one will go disappointed with this car. Looking forward to more video's from you on this buddy

    What I love about older buggies (like from the 80s) is they looked like a person could drive them. Shock towers were in the worst place because the imaginary driver needed to see out the front. They had good visibility all around. New ones look purpose built for maximum performance and undoubtedly out perform anything from 20-30 years ago…but they don’t excite me 😕

    • @ripmax333
      @ripmax333 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes, nowadays they don't go for that scale look but performance-wise they are super fun, luckily company's like Kyhoso still make super cool retro buggies.

    Hi. Good video as always. You said you were going to go through the differences but I'm not sure you actually did. Yes the spur gear is a weak point. There are a couple on this buggy. Another is the servo saver. The e-clip pings off. You can get a replacement metal spur gear from a variety of places. A must if going Brushless. Steering upgrades are available but are not officially available. You mentioned the general prices of chassis's. Yes with the Vantage there is the main chassis for less than £10 or the front part for less than £3. It is designed so the front part breaks under a heavy impact. You can be looking at a car in half after a major shunt. Cost of repair could be £3. You can go the whole hog and buy a carbon chassis but then you could be looking at a large repair bill. Advantage of a carbon chassis. Well it looks nice and you'll get less chassis flex. I have had one of these buggies for two years and they represent a great way into the hobby. Parts are cheap and are readily available. Yes, it could be better but at this price point it offers outstanding value. Looking forward to your upgrade series on this.

    Looks really nice! Have you looked into any of the Zd roller kits? I for one would love to see you build the zd racing 9102 thunder b10.

    That looks like a really good buggy for the money. I was tempted by the version 1 buggy, think I;ll get the V2 now! And please do an upgrade series, including the lipo/nimh stuff.

    When you have time please please do an upgrade video, as I am thinking of getting one of these.
    New to RC... well newish! I was given a petrol stock car and I bought a Tamiya Hornet as a youngster, but I haven't touched rc since then.
    Wandering if I can just change the gearing, servo and ESC and a better lipo maybe to improve things! what do you think? as I am on a budget.

    I have older brush less version and I like it not manage to break it yet just the pinion that drive me mad always replacing it wears out really quick. It's cheap enough for new ones just bugs me replacing it but good other than that.

    Thanx for the review! I truly enjoy watching your vids on TH-cam.
    I have one question to ask and would like your advice. Tomorrow I'm planning on going to a hobby store nearby (NL) buying my first RC. The store recommended the carnage 2.0. I've seen the review on your channel and also watched the review on the vantage 2.0
    Out of these two, which one would you say is the better one?
    Thanx in advance and keep up the good work!
