Samba de Amigo was SHOCKING for me, hearing about this franchise in 2023 is absolutely incredible but I remember to have loved it back in the days!
I heard Sega is finally experimenting again, probably why Monkeyball got a new remaster port a while back.
Apparently Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio "may" eventually get new games from what i've heard.
I love how certain games like Tomodachi Life suddenly explode in popularity and then a bunch of people become desperate for a sequel, to be honest I really hope it happens in the future, that game was so fun

Idk I was really disappointed when they said Ghost Trick because I thought it was going to be a sequel (e.g. new content). Ghost Trick is so old it can run on a Nokia phone I bet. There's nothing amazing about releasing a port of Ghost Trick on the Switch...
I'm so happy for Fantasy Life and Etrian Odyessy. It deserved a sequel, and EO deserved a remaster, especially since it means III will get all the nice changes the games got over time.

The main reason why lots of people look down on this direct is probably because they expected a new mario game, a new donkey Kong game, a new tomodachi life, wake up their probably saving it for next console or don’t have it planned at all, this direct was pretty good, not the worst but pretty decent
I hope everyone who never got a chance to play Golden Sun will give this series a chance. It is such an amazing game.

Man I saw "The Labyrinth Beckons" and instantly started pumping my fists knowing it had returned
That said 1/2 looked like the DS incarnations rather than the 3DS Remakes which are my favorite RPGs on the system
I'd never heard of it until now, it looks so cool. I love the concept of making the map

I noticed in the Metroid remaster they went with more of the original scanning look as opposed to the color-based system introduced in Echoes and carried on in the Trilogy on the Wii.

Honestly the lineup for GBA and GB games is a very good lineup for the initial lineup of games. Very impressed by this direct. I hope to see Pokémon make its way on here GBA will make the expansion pack more worth it when they add more games.
Yeah the lack of Pokémon games is disappointing. I'd be happy with emerald and fire red/leaf green since I never played those. My guess is the Pokémon company doesn't want to figure out how people can transfer their Pokémon if they add them since people will probably want that feature. I'm just happy we got the Metroid games though.
@@Rathadude Pokémon Company will announce and release them on their own time just like everything else they do. But it is unlikely that the Pokémon would be able to transfer to modern games since they would be tied to the Switch Online's emulators and aren't their own software like on 3DS

I'm glad Nintendo hasn't forgotten about Golden Sun. With it being on the Switch online game bank in front a new audience, hopefully it can get some positive publicity that will get us even the smallest amount closer to a 4th game.

the fact that it slowly crawled in felt like it's a shameful title or so. Still waiting for either an GS collection or purely a GS1+2 enhanced remaster because they were meant as one game originally.

Given how it's on the switch online expansion sadly I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Considering ghost trick phantom detective was originally released near the end of the original DS's lifespan as the 3DS was coming in, This would be another great opportunity for this gem of a game with a compelling mystery to get a bigger audience
All the more reason to expect them to do more than just port the game. It's over a decade old. Porting it won't take but a few weeks.

@@piinkdew It's a port of the Wii U version that released in 2013. The waiting for Pikmin 4 started when Miyamoto talked about it before the Switch was even revealed. He said that it was nearly complete back then, to the point that he wasn't sure if it would release on Wii U or NX (Switch's codename) at the time, or if it could be a dual release. So you can imagine how long people have been waiting for Pikmin 4 after Miyamoto stated that

0:22 seems cool.
I liked the hair at 7:40
I'm very hyped for 20:00. The art and animation looks incredible.
22:17 looks amazing.
41:23 was perfect in terms of presentation.
I also really like the Magolor Epilogue. Overall, we got some good information for games and some really impressive indie games are being presented.
I actually screamed when that teaser for the new Professor Layton game showed up. I thought that franchise would never return!

I'm happy that they are adding Golden Sun. One of my favourite games growing up. I hope a lot of people play it and it gains popularity. Been hoping for a remake/remastered for years.

So happy the Bros were not forgotten with Superstar saga being added, also Yoshi's island legit getting the og game style is so cool, Birdo being added too. Also hope for some character appropriate costumes.

I can't believe a new Fantasy Life is FINALLY coming! I spent SO MANY HOURS playing the first one on the 3DS. It was such a beautiful game with a nice funny story, plus the concept of roles was so unique. Can't wait to pick up a new one!!

Would be better if we had a legacy port of all the titles but but porting the GBA version of the first game to online definitely works.

Not only am I surprised they finally got GB Advance games onto Online (at long last), but they even managed to throw in Superstar Saga of all games in their launch title collection. Hope this expands the Mario and Luigi series fan base even further.
They've added that on the Wii U as well back then. I'm not surprised. They also made the Mario & luigi: Superstar saga + bowser's minions game on the 3ds, so there's no way this wasn't going to be one of the GBA games! They have milked this game on the past couple consoles before the Switch.

I think this is my new favorite Nintendo Direct. Splatoon, Layton, Pikmin, Metroid Prime, GBA, AND a Rayman-like! Usually only one or two things in any given Direct interests me, but this was incredible!

Its what we all needed. The miracle we didn't think would happen.
Seeing Ghost Trick, Baten Kaitos, Metroid Prime, Professor Layton, Fantasy Life, Samba de Amigo, We Love Katamai, and Etyrian Odyssey and so many Game Boy and GBA classics like Metroid Fusion, Golden Sun, and Kuru Kuru Kururin all coming back in the same Nintendo Direct was mindblowing. Hit it out of the park with this one! And I also love any and all day of show releases, more of this please!
I'm surprised Fashion Dreamer wasn't a new Style Savvy game for the Switch... I guess since Nintendo ain't doing it, Marvelous will capitalize on that dearth in the market themselves

So many classic titles being brought to the Nintendo Switch is amazing, people are probably going to complain that there wasn’t enough new first party announcements (even though the dlc announcements were pretty great), but I thought this Nintendo Direct was great and had a ton of great things to offer :)
They showcased a game for everyone, so it was a really good direct. And same, I thought it was going to be Style Savvy, but it's better than nothing.
