What you do at your age is amazing. I'm 58 and commute to work 5 days a week on my folding bike. A 12 Mile round trip. And thats more than enough for me. Keep going with the Channel. You are more appreciated than you will ever realize. Your personality and truthfulness about the realities of being a cyclist against nature and busy city life. Is spot on.
Don't beat yourself up. You set out with the best of intentions, planned meticulously and it might have worked out but having little Beans was an added factor and tbh I think you might have continued on your own. However, your care and consideration of Beans is just the best. I think your fear for her welfare was bigger than your own struggles. That's admirable. I hope she's enjoying the family and her own little holiday :-) Keep enjoying yourself and keep the vlogs coming. I love following your adventures.
You have absolutely nothing to apologise for. Your planning was good, but circumstances changed. You improvised, you adapted, you overcame 💪🏻 . You prioritised Beans's well being, that was 💯 the right thing to do. None better. Looking forward to the next videos 😊
With this channel break, I realized how much I miss your videos. I always go through the channel looking for new ones. It inspired me a lot to buy a folding bike.
You definitely made the right decision to let Beans relax with your brother and his family. I think it's probably a very small percentage of cats that take to chilling in baskets on bike rides, so if it's not their thing there's no point in forcing it. Kudos to you for seeing and fixing the situation. My guess is that the noisy traffic was the biggest cause of stress for her.
Delighted and relieved you've been in touch Brian. A lot of people have been worrying about you. Looking forward to more news and videos when you're ready. Hang in there. You have a lot of supporters.
Hi Brian, greetings from Malaysia 🇲🇾. You made the right decision and spent quality time with your brother and family to re-evaluate your break. With Beans being well looked after, you can now enjoy the rest of your trip to Yellowstone. Stay safe and enjoy 👍🤘
Hey,, you gave it a try. No harm, no foul. Glad you & Beans are both safe and able to relax and enjoy your time w. family. That itself is worth the journey. You were definitely way overloaded & under-geared. Even for as strong of a biker that you're. Trailers add extra weight, rolling and wind resistance. The one time I toured w. one, it felt lke I was dragging a boat anchor up hills. Looks like a great place to bike w. lots of paved MUPs. Keep on rollin' and enjoy the rest of your trip!
Don't stress yourself putting out a video.......... Just let us all know if you (and Beans) are OK or not. Then take as much time and space as you need. We worry. Take care.
I've traveled up there in an RV, and no way I would ride a bike up there loaded or not. Hang in there, you get 5 stars for even trying👍 Thanks for the video!
Great to hear you are both safe, glad Beans is having chill time and doesn’t need to endure cycling back to Denver. Have a fab time, enjoy it and we look forward to your next update 👍🏼😁
Great decision. The virtue of the Brompton is that you can transit virtually anywhere there is air, road, rail or boat. Enjoy the the journeys at your destination and then transit home.I know you also want to bring the love to Beans!👍🏽
No need to apologize for making life and health a priority. When things aren’t working, you adapt and change course. Good luck with the rest of the trip.
If you ever think of pulling so much again up big hills think about fitting a double chain ring on the front (push the chain with your fingers) i have done this with my Brompton because of all the hills in North Wales where I live, But No one can say you did not try your best, I am amazed you did so well and you did do well, take care and say hello to beans from me.
You make a plan and try to follow a plan until you can't. Better change to an alternate plan and make something out of it. You were ambitious by taking Beans but you knew that you may have to change the plan. Enjoy yourself and keep the videos coming. All the best.
yo Brian I bought a Brompton mainly because of your Denver-centric videos...your videos motivated me through a torn calf last winter...I commuted all summer to work from the burbs to Rino via transit+bike - anyway keep up the great videos! ps. if you haven't traveled with your Brompton already I really recommend Europe...London is great although no Netherlands of course, hope to visit the Netherlands soon
Good decision and thanks for sharing it. Hopefully we can all learn second hand rather than having to learn it for ourselves and at the expense of our pets. Our pets are fully committed to and dependent on us and so we have a big duty of care to make the right decisions for them even when it is inconvenient for us.
This was a great learning experience for you and all of us at well. Next time take the Bike Friday and less stuff. Also planning for less milage per day would help too. Love your videos and love that you show us the real struggle.
That downhill run on the bike path looked like a lot of fun. I’m sure it had to be paid for with a long uphill push, but that’s cycling. I can tell you were disappointed by the changes to the tour and the cat being left with your relatives, but you surely made the right decision at that point.
After this experience, would you still recommend a trailer to the Brompton? Or lighter setup. Thanks for sharing, you have a great channel. Michael (Belgium)
I always wondered how the guy from 1bike1world got his cat used to travelling. My cats are scared when I take the on the 1 km tour to the vet. I think that Beans will be grateful to you for respecting a cat's nature! Btw if I see your Brompton in front of the great scenery of Teton Range I'm just jealous... I own a Tyrell IVE but it probably will never ride such terrain... Greating from Dresden, Germany
Hi! I hope you are doing fine. I really liked the series about your tour. Are you planning to continue it? Maybe you can leave the cat with somebody so you would have more freedom. I have two questions. Would you take the trailer on a tour again or would you prefer to tour without trailer? How many folding bikes do you have in total? Regards from Germany!
Yo mate great video. I’ve been following your folding bike videos and bought myself 2022 Black edition C line and for my daughter Zizzo Forte 2023. I’ve not seen any more videos in past 2 months? All ok with you mate?
Bike touring is hard, folding bike touring is harder... Always reserve the right to catch another form of transport, this is the beauty of folding bike touring!
@@ibikeunfolded Wonderful news. So happy to know you’ve healed your body, mind and spirit. I could tell that you were under extreme strain pulling through the mountain climb. Much administration my friend.
I'm really hoping your cat is doing alright. And I wish I'd followed your channel sooner, so that I could've sounded the alarm earlier that a long trip like that could be dangerous for your cat. The vast majority of cats aren't like the ones seen in travel channels, and are usually really really sensitive to change. I hope the outlook is better now though, and thanks for all the entertaining and helpful folding bike videos.
Was waiting for this update and was worth the wait - I could not have done those miles on a 90 lb lioad . Sad that beans won’t be with you but looking forward to the tour - WHAT SPEC BERN HELMET DO YOU WEAR ?
Hi.. I was wondering if you like the straight bars over the M bars,I had straight bars on a regular bike and I like them, how are they on that Brompton?
I love the Brompton and it’s a great bike for urban commuting. But it’s not the best for long distance riding or touring, unless combined with trains or planes.
Hi.. Brian, Marry Christmas..I was wondering on the bicycle pump you got thy have that brand name on eBay but in two price ranges one $25 and the other $50 do you know the difference, I think it's the diameter? did you do the $50? Also the bottom stop Freedom Folding Bikes has that in stock? Thanks..
Really enjoy your videos, I have purchased a tern verge and would like to get your opinion on a couple things is there a way to contact you? Thanks safe travels wishing you all the best blessings
I was in a bad bicycle wreck and have been out of commission for a bit. I probably should make an update video. I appreciate the kind thoughts- thank you.
It's not worth risking your beloeved cats life I get it I'm a pet owner myself always had a cat and dog. I just lost my dog through liver failure and its like losing a relative. You did the right thing.

We haven't heard a thing from Bryan for quite some time. Do hope he is okay.
Other youtubers fake it, I appreciate your honestly and truthworthyness; if that's a word. Mad respect!
I appreciate it😃👍

More concerned about Beans and your well being.
You made the right decision, still enjoying your biking chroniclez!!

Glad Beans is vacationing at your brother’s home and looking forward to your next video, hi from the UK 🙋🏼♀️

Keep On trecking pal that's one hell of a cycle track alongside the highway. I wish we had those around here.

Good on you Brian. Beans didn't look too happy in your last vid. You made the right choice. Plus your legs will thank you
Hope you’re okay Brian? Really looking forward to seeing Yellowstone tour. Been a while since you posted. Sending you good vibes
Hi Brian, hope your OK we've not heard from you for a while
Doing better now thanks😁👍
I’m patiently waiting to learn something new from you.

Just put it down to a learning experience
I didn't think you needed to explain yourself. Beans health is paramount. Lesson learnt the next tour will be better. So enjoy you current tour.
Good day Brian! 🙂 hope all is well with you and Beans. Miss your videos and adventures. Take care and happy holidays!
Thank you, will be back soon…. Been out of commission for a while due to a bad bike wreck… almost all better now.😃
So sorry to hear that Brian ✌️ wishing you a speedy recovery ✌️cheers 🍻
What’s up, Brian. Are you well?

Haven't seen anything in a few months .
Thanks
Hey Brian, haven't heard anything from you in a while, hope you're doing ok..

It's not worth risking your beloeved cats life I get it I'm a pet owner myself always had a cat and dog. I just lost my dog through liver failure and its like losing a relative. You did the right thing.
What's happened (or happening)? Please let us know.
What are the lyrics to the song on your intro?
It’s been a month since your last video…no more new video?
I’m working on it. I got hurt about a month ago so I’ve been out of commission. More videos soon. I appreciate you sticking around👍😀
@@ibikeunfolded sorry to hear about that. get well soon. looking forward to your new videos.

When are you going to make another video with beans
