I got married on August 31, 1985. Here we are almost 39 yrs later, still married, three sons and a granddaughter and grandson.... Our wedding songs were Endless Love and Through the eyes of Love
@@danmccarthy4700This. Without question. 👋👋 And quite possibly my favorite chorus of their entire catalogue - which I'm sure u know is filled with a multitude of catchy, iconic choruses.
During this week back in 1985, I was about to enter Kindergarten the next week. The song I remember the most from this list was Tina Turner "We don't need another Hero." I remember hearing that on the radio after my dad would pick me up from preschool.
Thank you for adding my favorite cool band Tears for Fears to this list. They are the best ♥️♥️♥️🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍. I love his song SHOUT SHOUT LET IT OUT THESE ARE THINGS I CAN DO WITHOUT COME ON I’M TALKING TO YOU COME ON 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍❤❤❤ I LOVE
Back during this time period, Billboard did not include country songs unless it was released to AC or mainstream top 40 radio airplay pop charts. George Strait's many of his biggest hits which more than 50 number 1 radio country airplay hits that none of them hit the Hot 100. If Billboard redo the charts to include country during this time period? We could have seen George Strait, Reba McIntyre, The Judds and many more in the hot 100.
Lists like this make me really question if I even like music at all. I usually look back fondly to the 80s but this list makes me realize how much garbage there actually was then. A handful of decent tunes out of 100. Embarrassing

Pointer Sisters' "Dare Me" - such an underrated, fierce , gem of a song.
That hook is EPIC.

Definitely one of their best
I can't believe I missed that one because I've heard many of their other hits.
There was only high-class music, without exception. Nowadays...

As a 48 year old European, that grew up in the 80s and on MTV, I know not even half of this songs. American chart v. European Chart.
I can't believe how many of these songs I hadn't heard before, especially the 2 songs from Amy Grant from that week.
The power in the Top 5!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Another good list, with a lot of variety

I always wondered why Phil Collins songs that were not heard anywhere were number 1 in the United States, it seems like I had paid for it lol
