Loved this video, thanks for sharing! This is definitely one of my favourite postures, there's so many variations to it now as well (freestyle fitness yoga is a great example of this). Look forward to seeing more of your videos Anita!
glad you liked it, daisy. i'll also share the 'stacked' version (opening the hips) which is so lovely. looks like you have a lot to offer too. great energy you have! thanks for participating. follow your flow, a :-)
oohh yeahh I "DO" have questions :) are there any specific foods to avoid if I want a slim trim ABS ? And what about drinking a glass of milk before going to bed ? would that interfere in any way in my wight loosing program?
I am studying 200 hrs YTT and I’m writing an assignment, I needed to see the cues, this pose it’s not on my sample book, this was very helpful, thank you so much 🙏🏻💞
congratulations! this is a great one for targeting the areas you mention. be consistent in exercise, start yoga and watch your food and you will lose weight/tone up. check out my yoga and yoga inspired workout as well as my ab workouts. let me know if you have any questions.
Hello anita. Great vid. Im trying to perfect this posture. I've heard other instructors talk abt how the hips should be square when u lift the leg up. Don't really get that. How can u work on squaring the hips? Plz elaborate
Hi there Anita :) This is the first ever yoga poster I tried... Don't really know much about the YOGA world.. So please educate me a little by telling which posture would help me shed off those extra baggy pounds around my waist :) Thanks a lot in advance :)
Thank you thank you so much! Im doing this wrong because my hips are not squared. Now I will try this with my toes pointing downwards and truly being mindful!
you have to pay attention to what foods make you feel bloated. often times rice, bread, a lot beans/lentils, caffeinated beverages, dairy might do that for you and then start eliminating/decreasing them to get rid of bloat and lose weight. drink water. and a veggie juice is very helpful to alkalize to curb the need for a lot of sweets. hope this helps :-)
I have a confession: until I started yoga with you, I was doing my down dog all wrong, out of line, twisting the body. Doing it correctly is not that easy! 10 min of only this pose done 100% correct is a tremendous workout.

+sleepy head I call 'squaring the hips' leveling the hips. So this is what I elaborated on in the video :-)
thanks bex! for sure, let's make that happen - whether in the urban jungle or on the bexlife farm, i'm equipped for both! xo.
