Thanks, I only have about 3000 miles on it, but so far not a single issue. I have an MT09 too and this bike is just as much fun as that one even with less than half the horsepower, the REs are fantastic bikes for the money, you will be happy with it. I have open intake with a cotton/hiflo filter, the Powertronic tuneable ECU piggyback(The pigtail enrichers probably work just as good for a lot less money and really help with the lean factory settings), I added Motech mounts and bags which made the bike great for every day use(they make mounts for lots of bikes so if you have another bike you can swap the bags over), the taillight is LED with a flasher module to be better seen, and I have a YSS fork kit on order.
They are made by Revelry Cycles in Australia. They do ship to the US but it is pretty pricey(I thought it was worth it, they are great pipes) Let them know what mufflers you are using, they can swage the head down to fir the stock dia. They fit the S&S without doing that. shop.revelrycycles.com.au/index.php/accessories/performance/stainless-race-only-header-set.html
The butt dyno says there was an improvement, and there pretty much had to be a small gain(maybe 10% or so) but the big thing is the driveability improved, better off the line, better throttle response. The ECU is overkill for most people, an enrichment plug would do the job, but I will eventually do cams and a big bore, so it should come in handy then.
The S&S cans will just slip on, but you will need new exhaust gaskets as the diameter of the cans is bigger than the pipe. I have Revelry Cycles headers on my bike and they have a larger diameter, so it is a true slip fit.
Thanks for asking. The headers are Revelry Cycles Australia stainless drag headers, they are single wall with a larger I.D. than the stocker, 45mm vs 40mm. The mufflers are S&S Cycles 49 state, so they have cats in them. Still very free flowing, you can look right through them. The header and muffler change dropped about 12 pounds off the bike(The total weight loss is right at 30 pounds) The filter is a K&N cotton mesh filter, and I made a filter retainer from aluminum sheet to open the inlet. Powertronic ECU, programmable, controls fueling and ignition timing. I have the handlebar switch to change maps, but did not get the quickshifter. Hitchcocks Motorcycles stainless chain guard. Stratos Performance chain tensioners(video on them th-cam.com/video/cOl_oCosvG0/w-d-xo.html ). RE small flyscreen, some people say it does nothing but it moves the air blast up and it look right on the bike. I may roll a lip into the top to shift the air further up. RE solo seat, no performance gain except a little weight savings. Swingarm bobbins. I made a set out of delrin. Generic bar end mirrors. I may change this up, there are some better choices out there. LED brake light with a module that flashes 4 fast/4 slow/steady. For the future: Tubeless conversion. I have converted my supermoto, absolutely worth the effort, and will do that with the GT as soon as it needs tires ar I get a flat. SW-Motech bag mounts and bags, this looks like the best option for a sturdy but easy to remove bag setup. Tuck the tail. There is a kit for this but I want a welded in hoop and I want to be able to install the Motech bag mounts so that will take some planning Remove the passenger peg hangers. I run a single seat and took the pegs off. These will come off eventually, but it will require hangers for the exhaust. Cam/big bore?? This is a tough one. Who doesn't like more power? But, this bike works so well like it is set up, I really don't want to make it a battle to daily ride. I have had a couple of heavily hotrodded cars and bikes and it made them more fun in short bursts but not for every day.
I use it as a full/empty gauge. This is one of two bikes in thirty years that had a fuel gauge on it, I am used to just checking in the tank and tracking mileage
Short and sweet Video
Thanks
Thanks for doing the video. Great to hear the difference.
It sounds even better in person, the open mufflers is the way to go
Really cool helmet !! Thanks for the video sound sound

@@WhatIsTheWheel Yes I'll be patient for this one
Great bike, Great sound😍
Thanks, they are fantastic bikes
@@WhatIsTheWheel indeed
that pipe looks sick!
Thanks, they are great, the pipes were pricey to ship to the US but worth it.
Thanks for uploading this video
👍 From India
You're welcome
Cool just traded my Himalayan for gt650 last week now thinking to go with s&s exhaust
I am really pleased with it. Much lighter and sounds great
It's a great classic bike 👍👍👍👍👍
They really are, the only give-away that it is not from the 60's are the big disk brakes and the fuel injection covers
@WhatIsTheWheel great video! I'm looking at a 2020 and wonder how you have found reliability to be so far? Any other mods?

Hey, where did you get the chain tensioner covers?
Greets
Hey, I got them from Stratos Performance. Order through their FaceBook page:

What aftermarket header pipes are those? And can the be bought in the US?

thanks good job on the video
Thanks, I appreciate the comment
Nice bike. I have the same one.
Nice one
Thanks, it's a great bike.
Beautiful bike. Do you usually keep the DB reducers in or out when riding?
Thanks, I leave the reducers out. It is louder but sounds so much better.
Same here..I keep the reducers out...they sound damm good
Can u put a link for those forks?
Those are the factory forks in the US model
Sound good too bad they have that stupid up swept construction. What holds the reducers in position?
The up swept silencers is a 60's racer look. The reducers are held in with a small allen screw
You can get straight pipes for them.
Did you notice any seat of the pants performance gains with the exhaust, air cleaner and Powertronic ECU?
The butt dyno says there was an improvement, and there pretty much had to be a small gain(maybe 10% or so) but the big thing is the driveability improved, better off the line, better throttle response. 🇧🇷 Nice Bike.
Thanks, it is a great bike.
can a 5.3ft man ride this beauty ?
I am 5'9" and can easily flat foot at a stop. You will be on your toes, or need to lean when you stop(That is what I do on my dirt bikes)
TEC or K-Speed do lowering shocks.
What aftermarket mods have you made to this bike?

I love the style of the Bullit but the wind noise is intolerable.
It is the noisiest helmet I have ever owned
does the fly screen do anything to block the wind when you ride?
No 1000 cc bike with royal enfield in india
I don't think RE is going for that market. They have a solid base in the classic style middle weight.
No doubt fuel gauge always faulty
I use it as a full/empty gauge. This is one of two bikes in thirty years that had a fuel gauge on it, I am used to just checking in the tank and tracking mileage
