Stevie smiled so much once he got sober. He said he missed so much. He could always play my favorite guitarist . His complete personality came out it showed. He started going out off the stage. Most humble and respectful person. RIP your music lives on. In your words people don't die their souls are always with us. Stevie didn't like set lists. He just played. Listen to Life Without You Capitol Theater. 😀

I got to see SRV in 89 and 90 in St . Louis, MO. He was incredible as you know, and he played so hard that in both concerts he broke strings. If you ever look you can see that his hands are just huge, and he used 12 ga. guitar strings. His drummer Chris Layton is with Kenny Wayne Shepherd which you've seen, and Reese Wynans the amazing keyboard player is with Joe Bonamassa. All are incredible musicians and each of them got there time in concert to melt our faces. I dig your channel and look forward to more reactions. PEACE

@@hippiejoe969 Yes Hippie, we were blessed by so many artists that just don't exist anymore back in our day. There are bands and artists that are trying to make a comeback in our complicated rock world, Scorpions, Styx, etc and young rocker bands who are working at bringing it all back; case in point, Liliac. So sad SRV left us way too early in a 1990 helicopter crash at only 35. One can only imagine what he would be putting out now! And like quite a few other musicians he couldn't read music, it just poured out of him. Reminds me of a well known thing in engineering. Aerodynamic engineers have studied Bumble Bees, ran every parameter like weight, drag. wing movements and lift etc. Run all the data through sophisticated modeling programs and have PROVED conclusively that they CAN"T fly. The only problem is that Bumble Bees can't read!
