- Decided to give WARFRAME a go, seeing as there has been so much hype around its recent update. I'VE NEVER PLAYED THE GAME BEFORE This is my 1st impression and gameplay. ENJOY!

(Note: I haven’t watched the full video) But I’d like to let you know that warframe is a WONDERFUL game the devs cause a lot about it and it shows in my personal opinion warframe is very had game to get into on your own you’ll get lost be confused on what to do next get stuck walking around in your orbiter unsure of what your next steps as a player are but it’s something you do on your own the game is a world its just as much of a rpg as it is a Looter shooter, Warframe requires time and patience it can get annoying and frustrating sometimes but just try and find someone to guide you and remember that ANY weapon can be viable for ANY level content you simply need the knowledge, time investment; and maybe a riven or two warframe is a power fantasy and honestly would love to see new players flood this game so welcome Tenno! I can definitely see myself getting turned around a few times playing this game. There seemed to be so much happening all at once and i for sure underestimated the pace of gameplay. However it was a blast to play and i'll most likely keep playing and learning more about the game to get a better understanding of wth is going on. I'm slowly adventuring in the rpg realm as ive come to enjoy the playstyle. I do appreciate the advice and thank you!

@@SavageGameChaser_Gaming The game does have a steep learning curve, and a very rough new player experience. Main issue is lack of direction at the beginning, and the amount of grind to progress. However despite all that, if you take the time to learn and are a very patient person, it's one of the greatest gaming experiences out there. The story is amazing once it gets started, and the overall lore is very unique and different. And on top of that the overall player base is very friendly and are always willing to help answer questions.

After 1500 hours I can tell you that what you see in the start is nothing compared to what you can do after 200 - 500 and more hours. It's a strange game. 20 years in hardcore gaming I ve never seen a game like it. You can't clearly define its genre. And the more you stay the more it rewards you! In the start you will find it difficult to find what's going on but as you will progress, the game is amazing. And the devs are one of the best teams in game developing I have ever known. Really close to the fans, they listen and they try their best.
Wow 1500hrs 😮💨 that’s some serious gaming. You’re probably a pro at this game with those hours, i applaud you! Yeah I still can’t grasp what genre it would be but I had so much fun playing it. This weekend I’m going to use keyboard and mouse and more melee attacks since most of the veterans who play have highly suggested it.

I love new warframe playthroughs, and i think you'll find a good viewership on TH-cam for it. The community is usually pretty welcoming.
I can see youre not used to this game style - its ok, you'll get there. Once you learn movement you'll be flowing through the maps with ease. (Warframe is generally *very* fast paced)
A couple notes:
A) Warframe has a pretty crap tutorial - good to find people you jive with to learn from, or watch some youtube vids (be wary of spoilers, the quests are good)
B) you can play as much as you want, theres no limiting factors like energy. To access more content use the navigation console in the front of your ship. For now you're stuck doing the intro questline, it won't take long to finish. Up in the top right corner it always tells you the next mission of your current quest. Click it to start if you cant find it on the map.
C) whether its the wiki or reading the screens, the info you need is available. Make sure you read all the info on your screens, follow the waypoints for missions etc. and you'll get used to the UI. Its a little unintuitive at first, but its actually pretty good.
D) nearly everything is available for free, as long as you're willing to grind. You can trade things you find for premium currency with other tenno, something most games dont let you do.
If you ever want a tutorial, spoiler free, hit me up in game. SupRspi is my IGN. I suggest getting past the intro quests first.
Also, you may want to set your matchmaking to solo or friends only in the upper left, otherwise you may find yourself unexpectedly playing with veterans who whisk you through missions without you learning anything.
Also, welcome to fashion frame. Color palettes come out regularly for different events (free or 1 credit etc), so do lots of other cosmetic options. It won't be long till youre rocking some fantastic drip. (There is an option to color match your weapons and accessories to your warframe choices near the rwndom color option) also, you couldnt change colors at first because you were on the attachments sub-menu and didnt have any selected yet.

From my opinion, tutorial is actually great. It's intentionally designed to NOT BE like "mobil game tutorial" for infant-gamers. And it gives you space to do what you want and progress at YOUR speed.
I like to call it "casual filter tutorial". Because this game is not intended for simple people, that needs game do things FOR THEM.
This game teach you basics and point you the direction. But you have to SPACE-NINJA it, yourself. That's what makes me LOVE this game so much.
Is DOESN'T take you for "stupid monkey", that have no idea how to scratch his nose. And that's GREAT!

I'm currently running with a group of friends that are completely new to warframe and for me having been playing for almost 10 years, it brings me great joy seeing more and more new players join in! I've been helping them out at their pace without spoiling things considering how much i love seeing people explore all there is to see in warframe.

I've been playing for six years. With smaller or larger breaks. I still love and adore this game. I am emotionally attached to her. Intricate story of the characters, beautiful music and graphics. There are so many things to do that there is no time to get bored in this game. I watch you just start playing and I envy you. I still remember the first day I entered the world of Warframe. Being that I’m so new to it I doubt I’ll get bored with it, I’m usually only able to play during the weekends cause of my work. However I learn something new every time I load into the game.
Long time player, always nice to see new people pick up the game. It was kinda funny to see it treated like a cover shooter which considering most modern games is actually a good assumption. Shields recharge so early on don't be afraid to get hit a few times. Take your time, enjoy yourself, and play at your pace. Oh and fun fact about those cosmetics with a price listed in USD, they're designed by community members and they get a portion from every purchase of items they designed.
Some events will have color pallets for 1 credit or free. Valentines is coming up. DE usually releases a red/pink/white around that time for everyone.
Love seeing new player experiences. And you're the first I've watched that actually looked through the Codex after unlocking it. Which is a relief lol. It can definitely be a lot to take in and learn the ropes, but doing that reading early should help smooth over the early days.
Cosmetics are the main way that the developers earn money since the game is free to play, but they also do holiday freebies either given to everyone automatically as you saw with the Solstice skins, available in the market for Credits instead of Platinum, or unlocked through doing limited time missions. This includes color pallets and skins for customization. The Lunar New Year stuff will be out next week I think, and then the next ones are Valentine's Day, St Patty's Day, and Warframe's anniversary. The anniversary skins (called "Dex" skins) are honestly way better than the defaults.
I have been playing this game for over 5 years and I still have not played everything. This game is HUGE and AWESOME, especially when You make your own BIG spaceship called Railjack. My favourite tenno is Ash Prime! Enjoy playing it as I do. Salute from a Balkan native.

I downloaded this game way back 2019 when I got a PS4. It was the only free game innthe story with really nice graphics. Unfortunately, I got dizzy with the cam movement as I wasn't used to it and I stopped. However, my wife was having a blast and she said it's a really good game. I gave it another shot and i learned a lot how to use the controller 😂 i didn't get dizzy anymore. Been playing almost everyday eversince. It was really confusing in the beginning and watching your playthrough reminded me it still has not changed 😂 welcome to the void, tenno! Take your time and just enjoy the game at your own pace. TH-cam & Wiki have great tutorials and advice. Just becareful of spoilers. See you around! Have fun! 🙂

What makes this game for me ,, the community is not a toxic mess which games like World of Warcraft is .
I came to this game pretty late , about 18 months ago and its truly my favourite game.
So much to do and pretty consistent updates , new frames , new missions and its a FTP game!.
I always love see new players, I started in 2014 on xbox and just moved my save to PC.
My new player experience and starting missions were mostly totally different from what you have now.

My first tip would be Focus on the star chart to unlock all the planets first.
complete the nodes on all the planets once you have them unlocked to open up the steel path.
last but not least, Play how YOU want to.
There is no right or wrong way to play. As long as you are having fun and enjoying the game is all that matters.

I tryed Warframe for the first time 2 months ago, after 16 years + on steam :( I said to myself : "I wish I played this game before" Almost 600 hours later I can say, Warframe is one of the best game around.
Each and every day, I log in, I learn new stuff. My do to list is longer than a Costco bill and I can't see how or when this will slow down ?! I mean, there is soo much to do with so much different Frames, builds, ships, quests, Unlocks, explorations +++ The amount of content is overwhelming, really. The gameplay feels really polish and is extremely satisfying.
That said, the most amazing part of Warframe in 2024 is the player base. Honestly, it surprised me. I neved had a toxic player in a trade, a mission, Railjack pug, Relic farm, Bazar.. you name it ! Its borderline unreal how the player base is polite and helpfull. Love it and hope it last forever. Just try it. See ya in game.

I start playing warframe 3 months ago and i loved It! When you learn the game is awesome!
I started to play this game about 10 years ago, I didn't had the chance to play this mission cause was added later. I quit the game cause I dindn't understand shit at the time, so every once in a while I came back in the game and try to learn a little more. So since last year I play this like... every single day, this game is so freaking sic, theres a lot of different types of warframes, and ways to play the game, and fashion frames! 10 years ago I never though the I would love this game this much
welcome aboard Tenno, hope you keep playing, warframe is definitely a hard game to get into especially cause it takes a loooot of time to get to the main story quests and more advenced mechanics but it is so worth it once you get there, especially if you like cool sci fi stories
Very good game. Cool story, rewarding grind, devs legit respect the player base. If you like looter shooters and build variety it's the best I have ever played.
I'll keep that in mind. I did enjoy the opening trailer from the start. I can tell the devs put some legit dedication into the story mode and gameplay.

Keyboard prob is marginally the best of the two options tbh but i've been happily playing WF with controller on and off for 7 ish years with no bother, ps4 now ps5. One small tip, i'd recomend widening the FOV setting to max, being able to somewhat see wtf is going on on screen is shockingly quit handy @@SavageGameChaser_Gaming
im Mastery Rank 16 and still there is so much to do, this game is amazing, im not going to quit anytime soon. Develeopers had done such a wonderful job on this game, i wish you the best on the journey...

As a self-proclaimed “cozy gamer,” when I tell you that I throughly enjoyed watching you play this game. So much so, I am going to give the game a try when I upgrade my memory card on my switch; this looks like a great way to spend a lazy afternoon/evening. Also, you can obtain everything in the game without paying real money for it. You just have to engage in player to player trading to grind the premium currency. IMO the economy of the game feels really good once you get to the end game, but can be a little rough to get started since relics will be your main source of tradable items early on. Honestly I'd just recommend unlocking all the planets and nodes and progressing the main story to see how you like the game play loop.
There are some edge cases like prime access exclusive items, like prime extractors you can only buy with real money but they are like 0.1% of the game
@@LeonardBlyxyeah, but most people dont even use extractors. Plus the prime access cosmetics are the only things that ever cost cash. (Unless youre on PC, where all tennogen skins cost cash)

@ericapritchettche yeah i'll probably stick to the main story for now, so i can get my feet wet a little more. Maybe by the end of it, if its worth it ill invest into it....which i probably will lol

Just one little tip for the melee, theres a controllersetting allowing you to melee on Trigger (if you switch to melee) making it a lot smoother

Yea I had to the same. I stopped playing it and came back after a year with the button change, totally changed the game for me and have been playing it ever since.
Hi, just want to let you know that the game is a Looter Shooter, as such most things in the game can be unlocked for free, you can also purchase plat or trade items and mods with others players for Plat which you then use to purchase in game items which allows the game to remain free to play, its great to have new players to Warframe as a long term player over 10 years i can honestly say Warframe is the most diverse and ever expanding game i have ever played and will continue to play.
The Dev are great when it comes to Community engaugement, and they really look after the Tenno Within the Warframe Community, Hope to see you around on Warframe soon
I’d say for now I’ll probably stick to doing my best to unlock stuff for free. I think if I just jumped straight to buying upgrades and such, it would kill my joy that I have for the game. Yesterday was my first time exploring one of the other planets and I was amazed at some of the other players I encountered.
Watching baby Tenno seeing the intro cinematic for the first time is my new favorite thing. Don't look up spoilers. This game gets so... so good.

As a f2p game there is obviously micro-transactions so you will use real money at least once, but you can earn the "platinum" by also trading in game items with other players. The game itself is the meat and the customization of characters is just the beloved cherry on top. And as a vet whether you play for a vid or not take the experience slow and a bit consistent, it will pay off with the grinding and just how much there is to do in the game. So, good luck.

Hehe watching true newbie players come into this game and immediately fall back on Call of Duty mode never gets old. 10 years, 10k hours in it still amazes me. Best advice this veteran player can give you is bookmark the Warframe Wiki fast as you can. I've seen too many new players get overwhelmed once they get past the intro stuff and end up quitting due to not knowing what to do next. And when in doubt, ask the General chat. Most of the time there's folks on there, like me, that don't mind pointing you in the right direction.
the music at startup alone is absolutely epic on its own

u have to be sure u really want this commitment cuz if u dive deeper like at least 30 hours in then there is no going back cuz this is not ur typical f2p game where gameplay and graphic is trash no no no this is one of the best f2p game on steam and this game will anchor u so hard u cannot ever leave this game EVER
Great to see new players. I highly suggest you switch up your controls so you can melee and control your movement at the same time. Example: my melee button is R1 on ps5 so both my thumbs stay on the sticks

Don't worry about all the customizations that you gotta pay for because you can earn a lot of them in game. You'll get free colorpallets and skins from events, or earn them from some NPCs. You can even earn premium currency by selling all the extra stuff you have to other players that might want it. And since you're on TH-cam, other players might gift you paid skins and colorpallets too!
But all of that is something for another time. For now just focus on making your way through the game at your own pace :)
There are lots of things to discover. And the story definitely gets more and more interesting as you make your way from planet to planet where it really starts picking up once you get to Uranus!

Warframe has the best community I ever been apart of I have been playing games for over 40 years
The trck to warframe is to bullet through the entire mission like a tank with a rocket booster kill everything, then race your team to extraction. Unless its one of the defensive missions. Then let one of the many Saryn or mirage people spam their abilities.
I'm glad you figured out how to change your warframe colors in the end. It was almost really sad when you thought you couldn't change them 😅
This game can be a bit overwhelming at first so don't get discouraged. It was overwhelming to me, too and just like you, I was bummed out when I saw the choices and the tiny amount of colors in the arsenal. We get color palettes on events such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, etc. for a very cheap price so don't worry about them for now!
I recommend using your starting platinum for warframe slots, those are always welcome. Also complete quests when there is a Nightwave on! We get a warframe slot and two weapon slots from these for free!

Warframe has been around since 2013-2014ish, so its about 10 years old but its good for a 10 year old game and all new players are welcome because not only is it what's kept this game alive as long as it has, it's also got a problem with new player retention that is unfixable as is so for us to be mean about it would just kill the game that we love and want to watch and help others fall in love with it as well.

Glad you got into this game! You play the game like it’s call of duty though 😂 the movement techniques are what’s really gonna help you progress through the game as the enemy’s gets stronger so I’d try practicing them a little so they feel more fluid to you. Don’t be afraid to get in there with your melee either you’ll find you can clear a lot of there’s beginner activities by just slicing everything up!
🤣🤣 it’s a habit, I play a lot of FPS games so my instincts kick in “hey shoot the mf”😂 I definitely see you can do quite the damage with melee weapons if not more.

It’s a great game from what I’ve experienced so far I have nothing bad to really say about it. Being that I’m a late player to it, it’s a little frustrating at times trying to navigate around and figure things out at times. I just try to have patience and take my time and just enjoy the story.

You're taking the very first steps but, don't worry, you'll soon have more options for customization. All warframes and weapons plus everything you need to upgrade them can be obtained for free, all the basics quite easily, while more advanced stuff will require specific farming. As for color palettes, attachments, etc. though many must be bought, you'll get free ones in Nightwave (like a Battlepass) and events. Plus, you'll surely come across generous people who'll gift you some, WF has a lovely community. It's a lot of content to go through and it feels super fast paced until you get up to speed, but take it slow. Start by rearming your ship and following the initial quests in Codex, things will soon open up for you. Welcome to WF and have fun.

This video really made me laugth cause i as a wf veteran totally forgot what a baby tenno is like😂 flashbacks to my first experience in warframe which is along time ago but the Game still got me because it‘s a true masterpiece of gameplay
Just started a month ago and i have literally played nothing else since this game has so many different elements to it that its hard to get bored with it good solo play or multi-player game it also has some openworld maps on some of the planets
That’s what I’m afraid of😂 but hey the storyline has me invested. Idk if I’ll abandon my backlog of games yet, but sheesh it’s not making my decision any easier either😅
Tyrannus_Gaming has excellent "How to Play" videos for the various Warframes.
His advice is in plain English, doesn't use Warframe Jargon, and has no mods, unlike all the other "How to Play" channels out there.
You are the best! I just watched some of his videos this morning, definitely worth it.
in settings you can hide the chat tabs
additionally you can press the magnifying glass icon in any chat window to set filters.
the most common filters are for the trade tab WTB = I w ant to buy ____insert item name____ . and WTS = I want to sell ___insert item name____.
you can also link items by typing bracket " [ " if you are on PC it will auto fill as you type, you can then click a name.
th items in blue are linked, this lets buyers and sellers view something to see if they have it " [ammo drum] " for example is a very common item that people own.
Path of the tenno, grind and progress wonderful time to start and a horrible one, so much is happening

Another Newbie Tip:
Max your standings on Cetus, Fortuna, Deinos, and the Zariman. It might seem slow but if you do them everyday it will take you a month tops.
They give you access to Arcanes which dramatically change the game.
Also, if you build weapons in accordance with the riven mods you get, it will help you build a collection of strong weapons.
But focus on finding the most fun way you want to play. Things will open in due time.

warframe is old and if u comparing graphic to new game nowaday, u will said its not good. but after u play it, u will miss this game as addictive, and all music scoring and quest cimatic always damn good ❤
