There is an anime called 'After School Dice Club', that focuses around real tabletop games from around the world. Cockroach Poker is the board game they show first and I instantly want to play it! This is awesome to have it get more exposure. Other games they show is Blokus, Incan Gold, and Catan to name a few.
I was so nervous when I saw the title about cockroach poker being outdated BUT was so revealed to hear that you guys meant that cockroach poker Royal is the better version which I agree with completely! I love royal and could never see having the original cockroach poker
To make it easier to find Jan's channel, could it be feature by Quackalope channel? I've heard of Jan's channel, but could not find it. And I don't speak much Spanish, I'm just curious of the content ;)
@@Quackalope This is one of my go-to games for introducing new gamers to the hobby and I find the extra layer that the royals brings adds a little too much complication for people. I also just like the pureness of the original game and like having the extra set of critters versus a set of royals.
My 6 year old learned Royal (not having ever played the original or any bluffing game) with zero trouble at all. A little complication isn’t a bad thing.
Hey! We moved with it and have it in the living room (still getting everything set up - it was too big to film with in the studio due to my top angle. However, I love the table - and will record more with it soon! We are playing Spirit Island on it now!
The fact that this video dropped the day after I spent a few hours playing this game on TTS with a whole bunch of wonderful characters including Mr. Quackalope himself ..Just.. Hits Different.. and feels like the universe is aligned with me lol. Thanks for the awesome time and game!!
I had never seen cocroach poker until yesterday. Not one I wanna run out and buy but now I would be happy to play it. This is a case where my bias sometimes hampers me as when I heard bluffing poker, I was turned off by both those words. This to me is a good example of why sometimes you have to see it and give a game to try because its easy to dismiss these based on descriptions and not seeing the gameplay. Thanks for a great video and a great time hanging out yesterday! Also jan's PJ's are AMAZING in this video! Well done sir!

Yep, it has to be at a certain size before TH-cam let’s me do that :)
@@Quackalope Got it. Do you have a link to share then ;) Maybe you could add it to the description of this video.
I totally disagree. The original cockroach poker is much better than the Royal version.
Interesting - Why is that?

Hey checking in again regarding the game theory table. Do you still have it? Like it? Looking forward to some videos with it.
