I can understand him though. He is talking about this for so long and even though he verified his sources, now he knows he was right all along. And he is probably one of the biggest Valve and Half Life fans ever, otherwise he wouldn't have done VNN and all of its videos. I mean, Half Life was literally dead for more than a decade. A pretty emotional moment for us fans, and especially emotional for Tyler.
I'm so happy for Tyler. The guy went through years of everyone hating him and telling him he's wrong, the man finally got his moment where he was right.
Floating hands are ironically the most immersive type of hands in vr until we have full arm tracking but it's smart to focus on the hands and finger movements since that is what makes the index special

The future of VR will be matrix esq with Elon's neural link emerging and eventually becoming mainstream you will never have to interact physically to control certain technologies. Neural Link + VR = just a headset and pc needed. For now using VR haptic gloves and pedals attached to chairs should be the way moving foward to make VR more accessible to disabled people and lazy americans.

But I think there will be parts happening after HLA but before Eli gets killed, because if you listen closely, it sounds like the "close your eyes" in the trailer is done by a similar sounding voice actor ("honey" sounds the most different). And the only reason they'd do that is if they needed an old Eli for modern scenes just before he dies, so that it matches with his death scene. And it's not like they can use the same voice actor, because he's dead.

Plus, it's not even the best option for the money, and btw the Quest definitely can't run HL:A, it has a beefy mobile phone GPU and that's it. I'm going for the Samsung Odyssey+ as recommended by Tyler McVicker, after watching reviews and comparing specs. It's going for $249 new on eBay right now, an absolute steal.

And that building being constructed? That's the citadel.
I am too, but my wallet isn't. Even with me softening the blow by buying a Samsung Odyssey+. He's in pain. I wish it was easier to alleviate it, but unfortunately wallets can't take Kratom or Cannabis to get extra money, or feel like they have extra money. :(

Floating hands is much better than having fake arms. No matter how well they predict how you move your arms in real life its always buggy and takes a lot away from the immersion imo, floating hands is a much better approach.

If this game took 4 years to develop, imagine how long a new numbered installment would take. Source 2 was probably mostly complete by the time production started so that wouldn’t be factored.
