    Thanks for your video; really enjoyed it though I'm late to the comment section. I've been using the Rich Cream for nearly a year. I was VERY skeptical when I bought it but after two weeks noticed visible improvements in lines on my forehead softening to the point that friends have asked me what I've had done. Months later the lines are even less apparent. Still there but far shallower and nearly gone towards the sides of my face. I have ultra sensitive skin and this does not bother it at all. No redness, dryness, irritation or breakouts. I'm 60 and very lucky to have nearly perfect skin with some crows feet but no other lines other than the forehead and along the side of the mouth. But my forehead was lined enough that I had contemplated Botox. I don't feel I need it now. I do understand not everything works for everyone; I've tried loads of high and low end products people raved about and never saw a whit of difference. On the one hand, I'm sad to like this because $$$ but on the other, I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I started using the VB primer in the mornings and like that too, though I do find that a tiny bit drying. But again, no irritation, and it's nice under makeup. Hope some may find this helpful!

    Maybe the time you dermaplanned was after Dr. Bader. I have noticed your skin looking better and more luminous lately! V.B. product sounds great!
    My go to primer is Tarte Poreless. I ❤ It!! It makes your skin feel like satin. Great for applying a smooth foundation application...or not!

      Tarte poreless is a thick filler type though. Like this stuff is a different kind all together. I imagine I would use the Victoria primer except in my ugly pore areas!
      Speaking of Dr. Brandt has a new one. Not Pores no more. Pores Refiner primer but the tube looks the same. I like it because well it works better than anything else I have tried and because it is silky feeling.

    Synthetic Fluorphlogopite is a synthetic mica which is better than natural mica because of texture consistency and purity from other metals is the glow you see in VB moisturizing primer.

    That was sooo interesting Penny. I couldn’t justify buying the Augustinus Bader rich cream, the exchange rate would make $385 AUD 😬 Victoria Beckham’s line isn’t available in Australia, but the 50ml would be $210 AUD, which is still a lot, but a big difference to the AB rich cream. In my uneducated experience the ingredients look better with way more benefits. Good on her for doing clinical trials. It doesn’t say how many people were in the trial, but not many brands do them at all. I’d be interested to try the 30ml VB cream. I’m also interested in her kajal liners in Bordeaux and Bronze. 🥰 I just ordered some Osmosis and Le Mieux from Leah. 💕

    The rich cream ripped my normal-dry skin up in 5 days. It was so horrible and took several weeks to repair the damage. I like the VB a lot but I’m scared to use it daily and not exclusively as a moisturizer.

    Hi Penny, absolutely love you and your videos and that you take so much time to answer questions. Thank you. I would like to know if you have heard of and thoughts on a product from Korea called sculplla. They have a mask done in a spa in clinic, a mist, a cream and a caviar cream. The mask is suppose to deposit L poly lactic ( think I got that right) fibers on your face that get down into your skin to give that lifting effect similar to a thread lift. Your review would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance 😍

    Actually, Augustinus Bader’s Rich cream has been the ONLY cream that has made a huge difference in my skin after using thousands and thousands of dollars for most skincare creams. I use the VB’s primer before my makeup and my skin has never looked better! I used the cream for 4-7 months. Each person’s skin is different, so what works for one doesn’t work for another.

    Hi Penny, Your video today is very timely for me. I have been using the smallest bottle of the AB Rich Cream for approximately 2 weeks now. I have to say, my face isn't hating it. In 2010 (being exceedingly clumsy) I accidentally burned my forearm with the steam gun iron full heat full steam and had been operating at full setting for 40 minutes. The pain was terrible and at the A&E where they gave me a silver oxide cream that increased the pain ten times folds. I was in tears on the bus (consider I fibroblasted a few skin tags without painkillers nor topical nor oral and it didn't t hurt even half as bad). At home I could not take it anymore and I washed off the silver medicine and I begun applying a Nivea soy serum for mature skin with hyaluronic acid the first formulation that they produced. It soothed immediately the pain and I kept applying it thickly (rubbing out of the question it was a truly bad burn) all over the iron plate sized bad bad painful burn. I kept applying it the skin healed beautifully not a scar nor a mark and even the moles have not changed. I did terminate 2 and a half bottles of that nivea soy serum (£12). I spread the news with my gp etc within a short time you could not find it on the shelves of any store anymore. Somebody gobled it all up leaving nothing for the people. So if you should discover anything be very carefull who you reveal your discovery to. It doesn't t pay.

    I also wanted to add I have the rich cream, and it makes ur makeup looks gorgeous 🥰 but I agree I’ve not seen much of a difference at all. Not enough to warrant the price tag. I think I keep to Cosmedix and osmosis. I also wanted to add that VB did say she could use just her primer nothing else. So this does suggest u don’t need both, and by the sounds of it VB ingredients list and effects seem way better than AB rich cream or the cream. I’d defiantly be picking up the VB cream, I’m always looking for a glow and with it being 30ml and cheaper it seems such a better deal.

    Let me see if I have this right...the doctor gave mice 2nd degree burns so he could test / experiment with his skin care line. How exactly is that right to do? He couldn’t test it on humans who already had burn conditions? He had to burn mice to test?? Inexcusable! No product is worth torturing animals for.

      Hard to say. I’ve been testing eyelash serums and some times my eyes get to watering and I wipe the tears away. Could be that. I haven’t done anything specific to my under eyes though.

    I had a terrible reaction with the rich cream as well!! I used BR P50V then the cream. Red, irritation, dry for a week. So strange given none of the ingredients are known to trigger my skin. I would be willing to try the regular cream, as some heavy creams can irritate me.

    • @PinCushionQueen
      @PinCushionQueen 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rich cream has lanolin alcohol, which is a known irritant . Kind of baffling , especially for sensitive , dry skin types. The cream has a better ingredient deck than the rich cream, in my humble opinion. Formulation aside , we aren’t in the lab ,but I’d love to ask them questions given the opportunity.

      So it’s been a while since I’ve used this product-but the original has kind of a golden/white tint and then the golden is more of a yellow golden tint. The original is more versatile, yes 😊

    While I have your attention I would like to ask you if you are ever going to do a review of the brands lab series and estèe Lauder.
    I am curious to know what you think.

    Are they worth the money?

    Lisa Eldrige used the VB in her most recent tutorial on a mature model.
    The way she applied it did look so smoothing!

    Hey penny thank you for your amazing videos and tips .. I have a question .. it's simple.. is applying pressure and facial massage good or bad ? Is it true that we should only use tapping super gentle methods?? Or can we massage our faces well everyday and use face yoga?do we loose our skin elasticity ? Does our wrinkles get worse and saggy from face massages ? Thank you . rana

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think facial massage is amazing. While being gentle is great around the eyes (for example) there is no reason to not massage the rest of the face. Our skin doesn’t “stretch out” like we have been told :))
      The eye area though, that’s different. Delicate skin that should be treated with care 💜

    I did the 28 day Augustinus Bader challenge and I also have dry skin. Around the 10 - 20 day mark was tough as it doesn't have the moisture my other creams have, but having completed the challenge my skin is way better than at the start.

      The lanolin alcohol in the rich cream is incredibly irritating. I like the ingredient deck better in the Cream for combo /oily vs the rich when I look closely at the differences, but VB seems like a better bet for a daytime serum primer .
