I've tried the natural stuff. I complained about them but i only took a few actual bites. I usually try just using layers if I can help it. But I will give that a shot!
Love your vids of Maine, buddy. What camera set up does your friend have, I want to get one like that for my wife. We are from Maine and spend a lot of time in VERY remote areas like you.
Hi there! Thanks for watching first off. I know more about the action cameras and video then I do about that level of camera. He may chime in here or you can check out his channel and ask him if you like! I linked his page in the description.
@@projectknifehand if that’s what you have, then it’s perfect. Thinking about checking out the golden road late next month. I watched your video on it. Awesome. I’m gonna bring a G20 (10mm) with me. Hopefully I don’t need it. They don’t try to discourage you from bringing protection, do they?
10mm is what I have read a lot of folks prefer. I had the shotgun and I also carry my 9mm with FMJ in my chest pack. As far as I know they do not discourage it. Especially considering these are all hunted areas. And not to sound rude to anyone who is reading that is against it, but I don't care lol. It is Maine, and they allow it so I will! I appreciate you checking out my videos for sure. There is a lot of beauty up there and I am learning a lot about the areas I visit. Love it.
Like I said I disagree with people who would say otherwise. They do exist, folks who think it is not enough. I am of the opinion a 9mm is enough for black bear. But the Mossberg came on this trip as well.
We fished the sites we stayed at. The goal was to spend some time relaxing at the second lake site so we moved on quickly. That being said I love spending time there and suck at fly fishing lol. I will be going back as soon as the knee heals and do just what you said. Hit the water is several different places.
I was just up to Moosehead Lake last week and on the golden road heading out a moose was on the road and had no choice but to just walk right next to my truck about 3 feet from us and we got some awesome video of it. So far this year I’ve seen 6 moose 5 black bears and a shit ton of deer. I live in Albion Maine so everyday is an adventure living in Maine and we love it.
That's awesome. I love Maine myself. I often feel like it's the last frontier! Well on the east coast anyway! Lol. I spend a lot of time up north. Whether it is there or NH. I do feel like it is where I belong.
@@projectknifehand we moved here in 2019 from Texas. My wife is from Bar Harbor and I’m from Syracuse NY best place in the world to live hands down. It’s like being on vacation everyday here. Plus the world is crazy right now and I feel very safe here in rural Maine if something went down
Those Logging Trucks don’t mess around! 😂😂😂 Great Video
Thanks! No they don't. You basically move on time or get dead. Lol
@@projectknifehand you got a new Sub, great videos, can’t wait to look through them all!
A trip deep into the heart of Maine. Nice work!

Is that 12 gage bear protection?? Love it!!
Sure is. Folks will argue it is not enough, but I do not agree, and besides it is what I have.

@@projectknifehand 12 ga with slugs is more than enough for bears.
