You broke your shit. You forgot to remove the torx screws. These are at the outer point of the bumper on the inside of the wheelarch. If one has big rims one needs te remove the wheels to reach them.
Great video - really helped me with taking mine off to change the rear diffuser off. But there are actually 2 other screws and without taking them off then the bumper can’t peel out from the edges. There are two 20 torque screws in the top corner where the number meets the wheel arch. You need to just peel back a bit of arch lining to see them. You will see them vertically and you may need a screw driver extension

I’ve been had by screws pointing up on VW bumpers also because the heads rust away but not sure what happened with this video if that’s the case on my car. I’ll check and see if I need to do this video again!
Lee Phillips on the Pre LCI it is a lot easier to Remove the whole thing. However if you’re replacing the OEM rear diffuser for another genuine one it shouldn’t be necessary. For something like a Reiger diffuser there are additional fixing points that you really can’t access without removing the whole rear bumper
@@neil4089 thanks for the reply I'm looking to change the one on my 120d m sport for the m135i with the twin exhaust exits, I fear a genuine one may be very pricey so it may have to be bumper off haha
This instruction is not accurate... i do not recommend anyone to follow this instruction.. There are 2 screws that you need to remove before peeling out the bumper.. If you dont, you will ruin your bumper... Please dont do instruction videos when you dnt know what you are doing...
@@IAMASPANNER you ended up breaking the parts held by screws on each side that were only accessible by removing the archliner.. i ended up breaking mine too by following your video 🫤 Luckily it still holds on by friction plus the other screws keep it in place but it easily gets pulled out now.

If you do this does the bottom come off the bumper if you wanna change exhaust etc mate
The black part can be removed afterwards yes, you can get the twin exhaust version and do a straight swap.
