OMG! It really was 40 years ago. I was one of the dancers in that scene; proud to be working with Ron Field, Don and Sandy. Nice to see this still lives!
God, there is nothing that woman can't do. Such a special talent. Gifted comic actress, quirky, fantastic singer/dancer and always a glint of mischief in her eyes. I just love her. So sad I missed her stint as Roxie in Chicago - everyone I know who saw her said she was up there with Verdon as one of the absolute best. Thank you for sharing this!
Nothing she can't do? What about drama? She was never on Dragnet, MASH, Star Trek, or E.R. And, I doubt we will see her on C.S.I. (But I'd like that, myself). However, it is hard to imagine her doing a role where she isn't smiling. BUT, what about around _TH-cam_ ? I could easily see her doing something with Rachel Balleger, Rosiana Pansiado, or someone equally famous who has a TH-cam channel dedicated to Ballet dancing. And I'll bet if you put her in a room with Lisa (lisbug) Schwartz, you'd never get them apart!
I had forgotten what a trained and technical dancer she was and I'm sure still is. She is the definition of a true "triple threat." Fully great as an actress, singer & dancer. You can see the hours of ballet training in her flawless dancing. Her feet, port de bra and gorgeous line is so beautiful to watch. I don't know you Don but you are just as talented. The 2 of you look incredible together. Greg Mowry
Hey Don! It's Ernest from St James Kitchens and Bath. I designed the kitchen for you and Sandy back in, what? 1996/97? I know you moved from that a place. You two were one of my best design experiences. Loved working with Sandy. The plan and elevation drawing, with a photo of the three of us, hangs in my office still! Hope you get this. Hope you both are doing well!
Ernest, how nice to hear from you. Yes, we sold the house and the new owner modernized the Kitchen I’m sorry to say. We now live in CT and are staying in place until this virus thing calms down a bit. Stay safe and thanks for reaching out. - Don
this is similar to where Tina Turner reflect to her song private dancer, when a guy pay a girl dancer for a dancer. of course it's 1920's when sensuality made a main spirit of dance and doing it for money and just writing songs.
Great singing by Sandy and great dance work by the ensemble!

W O W !
How wonderfully fabulous and talented Ms. Duncan was... Back when you needed to Sing, Dance and Act to work in Hollywood!

I'm so happy to read that the two of you remain married! You are both beautifully talented. Thanks for giving us this treasured memory.

Fantastic Don! Just loved it, so poignant and sweet to see you both together!
I wish I had been born twenty years earlier, I would have totally gone for Sandy
She is still around, today. And, the age gap between you two is now a smaller _percentage_ . . . . ; >
You are so wonderful together. And the camera blocking in the dance hall is fantastic!
"America Salutes Richard Rogers: The Sound of His Music" - aired December 9, 1976
Great video quality, Don!

Choreographed by Ron Field
Does anyone have a video from the Sandy Duncan Jan 16, 1976 tv show with the ice Capades?
How about the variety special she did with Gene Kelly as her guest.
Hey i was wondering what Sandy would have to say to Meryl Streep.

Iove Sandy and Ron...!
