@@nicoletti345 There are multiple occasions where Demi has acted like a self-entitled diva. A few years ago, one of their fans made a beautiful drawing of Demi as a mermaid. Instead of being grateful and thanking him, she shit on him and accused him of triggering her eating disorder. A few weeks ago, she went to a frozen yogurt shop and threw a temper tantrum over a display of sugar-free cookies. She insulted the shop owner and claimed that the cookies triggered her eating disorder. When she posted about her experience on social media, a bunch of her fans started harassing the store owner and employees. Just because people like Demi are rich and famous does *not* give them the right to treat other people like shit!
Her fame was fading, so you gotta grab some attention some how.
She didn't want her last legacy to be trying to ruin somebody's business/livelihood!

Her purpose in this world is not just music. Her struggles can relate to so many more people then a concert stadium could ever hold. You are right. A lot of her music is popular music but you won’t hear Demi on the radio as much as a Selena Gomez for example. Unfortunately, it is her candidacy about her struggles, body issues, the addiction just her vulnerability that draws more and more people to her. I've been a fan of Demi since the very beginning and seeing them now especially in their most recent interviews to me it seems their energy is different. They seem to be so much calmer, comfortable, and genuinely happier than I've ever seen them. I'm glad they were able to get away from their old team in order to have a better atmosphere for their recovery and it really shows that they have been able to grow in ways they couldn't before. I’m not saying you have to like Demi but at least why do you decide to make hurtful comments about them and saying that “she” is rude or something? First off, Demi is they/them now and you can not like someone but don’t completely disregard they’re pronouns. Two, do you know anything they went through? If you took the time you would know. Demi’s biological dad abused the family, Demi got bullied and had bulimia and did self harm. They also did drugs when they was 17 or 18 and got sober young at 19. They’re biological dad died in 2013. They overdosed twice and they’re OD in 2018 was the biggest one. Now, they are healthy and better I hope. And as I said before you don’t have to love Demi but at least be more kinder cause you don’t really know anyone THAT well but I don’t intend to spread hate or be rude but yeah 😊

I am so grateful for you, that you shared Demi’s documentaries. They are relatable to me; as far as, being bullied, abused, raped and a lot of other things I don’t want to talk about.
If there was a way; please, I’d like Demi to know, by her displaying her courage to own her own demons, battle them, and be able to talk about it on camera, gives me hope & a bit of strength to keep going.

Anyway, imagine you are asked “Have you ever sent hate online to anyone? Have you ever lurked under a post about someone you didn’t like? Have you ever mocked someone for their struggles? Have you ever said something negative and felt no shame, even though they’ve never done anything to hurt you? Have you ever justified your harmful words by saying ‘they’ll never see it’?” And you have to either:
A) answer truthfully and reveal to everyone that you use your time to send hate to a human being who you’ll never even meet just because they don’t live the way you do or the way you think they should.
Or
B) lie and embarrass yourself because you’re prone to displaying asshole behavior instead of focusing on the good things.
I’m not saying you have to LIKE demi. But if you can’t respect them in any capacity, then why bother subjecting yourself to them. They’re really not that hard to ignore. If you can ignore someone in real life, you are perfectly capable of ignoring a stranger who has never even said a word to you while on your phone.
And before you try to paint me as a hypocrite because I know you will, keep in mind that I’m not being negative or mean. I’m simply trying to understand the reason why y’all dedicate even a minute of your time to someone you don’t like... i am also trying to help y’all realize that time is precious and I am certain you have more to offer the world than a spoon joke that’s been used a million times or an excuse about pronouns or mentioning frozen yogurt. None of that actually matters in your life because it’s things that have happened to someone else and you just heard about it. There’s no reason to hold onto these instances because they have nothing to do with you. And they’re certainly not going to listen to someone who’s calling them names or being hateful. Please do better and try to focus on your life because you have a chance to make a positive impact and you’re wasting it in youtube comments all to say “haha junkie bitch hope u overdose again” like ok imagine if every time you said something even remotely negative, i’m talking even “omg that answer he gave was so dumb!” Type stuff, it was printed out with full context of the situation and given to every single person you’ll ever interact with Because that’s what being a celebrity is, and I know for a fact y’all wouldn’t say the stuff you say here to someone’s face because it’s embarrassing... FOR YOU. Like imagine being known for sending hate to a human being for fun because that’s how I see all of you in the comments. Even if we never meet, it’s disheartening to see people harping on one person for things that don’t matter.

It’s hard for us to judge Demi and her past. None of us have lived her life. I have a family member who suffer from substance abuse. And I was really closed minded about it for a long time too. But, the truth is, the people who suffer from substance abuse, it’s more than just the euphoric feeling for them. They’re hurting and they don’t know how to deal with it, so the only way they find peace is unfortunately through substance abuse. We can’t say that we would definitely handle life differently than she did had we fine through the struggles she has. An abusive and negligent father, sexual abuse as a teenager, growing up in the spot light, and mental illness. And I’m sure there’s many other things she’s gone through that we don’t know about. So to say it was something “stupid” is a little harsh.
