Best mix is engineering and project management. Construction management is more specialised in the build phase, project management is delivering overall change to deliver outputs that manifest benefits as the business case, better still study program management.

Heeey, great video, the first time someone actually explains it well and understandable! I am in a little bit of a dilemma, I just took my BA in Applied Economics and I really want to do a Masters degree in PM. My choices are Project management in construction or just project management and it is a really tough decision, since this more or less will impact me. What will you recommend? To me, MS in PM is waste of time. Doing MS in CM and getting PMP will set you in better place! However, employers will prefer someone with real-life experience in both PM and CM than someone with graduate degree. This is just my opinion being in the AEC/EPC domain. Great video though. I just turned 26 in August, btech civil engg 2017 passed out, wasted 3 years preparing for govt jobs unfortunately couldn't crack any, now I have one year non-CS experience in an ecommerce company, amazon. I'm willing to fetch 1 or 2 years of fake experience to coverup my gap years & to avoid rejections. Will work hardly on CS skills after joining ms, I have multiple senior software employee cousins and well wishers to help me. Should I apply for this spring or gain some 6-10 months software hands on experience and go for fall 2022. I'm yet to take GRE and ielts. Please suggest me your opinion on my plan. I'm very much depressed regarding my career. FYI I have 8 cgpa in btech civil, 87% in 10th class & 96.5% in intermediate, just to indicate I'm not a dull student. I'm commenting from my other acc out of embarrassment. Help me please🙏🙏

You are thinking too much and sad for no reason. You should watch all my videos and see that I was just like you.
America doesnot care about what you did in your past it cares what you are gonna do ahead. Take some time and focus on what you really want to do. If you like CS and Data science go for it.
Take exams and join a consultancy if possible, they will help you and you will also get to build your self image with them.
You need to work on your confidence for one year. Aim for fall 2022. In the mean time, I would suggest a book for you it’s called Magic of thinking big it really helped in my bad times.
You have a bright future, I started my masters at 28 years old and just completed it now. You are very young and time is in your side. I just helped a girl who was 30 to come to USA for studying

Hi brother. I'm Arvin. I completed my Bachelors in civil in India in 2020 with a very good CGPA. I have almost three years of field experience as a Project Engineer and Planning Engineer in Cement plant grinding unit and WHRS Boilers as well. Now I'm planning to do my Masters in project Management. I have three questions in mind.
    1. I have done my research and shortlisted five universities like NYU, Northeastern, University of Houston, Arizona State University and UTD. Which university would best suit my profile?
    2. Would I be able to land a job in the construction sector itself after my Masters in the aforementioned colleges?
    3. Can I do part time jobs or somewhat like a co-op in construction sector to meet my accommodation and food expenses
Kindly suggest me in choosing the right track.

I was looking at Arizona State for the Masters in Construction management. I keep reading employers don't care about the masters if you want a job in construction. There is a construction management certificate from UC Davis. I think it is 6 course. Much cheaper, quicker.

    Bro, one doubt
I'm in my final year of bachelors in civil engineering. And I'm interested to apply for master in project management.
Question is that can I work in a construction sector Specifically or project management is more like general degree in which project manager can be appointed as any sector ( like Computer, Architect, Mechanical as I don't have knowledge of any other sector except civil field ) . because lots of other bachelor degree holder ( like bachelor in Computer Science, Architect etc.) can also do MS in PM.
